  • A novel Zero Current Switching(ZCS) Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) boost converter with dual mode for reducing two rectifiers reverse recovery related losses is proposed. The switches of the proposed converter are operating to work alternatively turn-on and turn-off with soft switching condition In the every cycle and the proposed converter reduces the reverse recovery current, which is related switching losses and EMI problems, of the free-wheeling diode$(D_1, D_2)$ by adding the resonant inductor Lr, in series with the switch $S_1$. The switching components$(S_1, S_2, D, D_1)$ in the proposed boost converter are subjected to minimum voltage and current stresses same as those in their PWM counterparts because there are no additional active switches and resonant elements compared with the conventional ZVT PWM $converters^{[2]}$. The operation of the proposed converter, in this paper, is analyzed and to verify the feasibility of the characteristics is built and tested.

  • This paper proposes a unified high-frequency bipolar buck-boost (UHFBB) control strategy for a dual-active-bridge (DAB), which is derived from the classical buck and boost DC/DC converter. It can achieve optimized current stress of the switches and soft switching in wider range. The UHFBB control strategy includes multi-control-variables, which can be achieved according to an algorithm derived from an accurate mathematical model. The design method for the parameters, such as the transformer turns ratio and the inductance, are shown. The current stress of the switches is analyzed for selecting an optimal inductor. The analysis is verified by the experimental results within a 500W prototype.

  • The development of electric vehicle power electronics system control, composed of DC-AC inverters and DC-DC converters, attract much research interest in the modern industry. A DC-AC inverter supplies the high-power motor torques of the propulsion system and utility loads of electric vehicles, whereas a DC-DC converter supplies the conventional low-power and low-voltage loads. However, the need for high-power bidirectional DC-DC converters in future electric vehicles has led to the development of many new topologies of DC-DC converters. The nonlinear control of power converters is an active research area in the field of power electronics. This paper focuses on the use of the fuzzy sliding mode strategy as a control strategy for buck-boost DC-DC converter power supplies in electric vehicles. The proposed fuzzy controller specifies changes in control signals based on the surface and knowledge on surface changes to satisfy the sliding mode stability and attraction conditions. The performance of the proposed fuzzy sliding controller is compared to that of the classical sliding mode controller. The satisfactory simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed control law, which reduces the chattering phenomenon. Moreover, the obtained results prove the robustness of the proposed control law against variations in load resistance and input voltage in the studied converter.

  • This paper presents an improved Zero Voltage/Zero Current Switching (ZVZCS) commutation cell with minimum additional components, which provides soft switching at both turn-on and turn-off of main and auxiliary switches as well as diodes in a PWM DC/DC converter. The proposed soft-switching technique is suitable for not only minority, but also majority carrier semiconductor devices. The auxiliary switch of the proposed ZVZCS commutation cell is in parallel with the main switch, and therefore, the main switch and the diode are free of currentstress. The operation principles of the proposed ZVZCS commutation cell are theoretically analyzed using the PWM boost converter topology as an example. The validity of the PWM boost converter topology with the proposed ZVZCS commutation cell is verified through theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental results.

  • Switching power supplies are widely used in many industrial fields. Power factor correction(PFC) circuits have tendency to be applied in new power supply designs. The input active power factor correction(APFC) circuits can be implemented using either the two-stage approach or the single-stage approach. The single-stage PFC circuit has advantage to reduce the number of components by eliminating a need for the PFC switch and control circuit. However, unlike in the two-stage approach, the do voltage on the energy storage capacitor in a single-stage PFC circuit is not well regulated. As a result. in universal line application($90{\sim}265Vac$), the storage capacitor voltage varies with the load and line variation. In this paper, the performance of output voltage regulation and transient response are clarified here. The validity of designed boost PFC circuit is confirmed by MATLAB simulation and experimental results of 2 [kW] prototype converter.

  • This paper presents a low-power buck-boost converter for multi-input energy harvesting systems. The designed circuit combines the energy harvested from three input channels in real time and stores it in a storage capacitor. The structure of the buck-boost converter is simplified by using one external inductor and applying time division technique using an arbiter. In addition, to improve the efficiency of the system, the controller circuits of the converter are designed so that current consumption is minimized. The proposed circuit is designed with $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process. Simulation results show that the designed circuit consumes up to 490nA of current when all three input channels are active, and the maximum power efficiency is 92%. The chip area of the designed circuit is $1310{\mu}m{\times}1100{\mu}m$.

  • This paper introduces a bidirectional full-bridge converter with new active damp structure. The proposed active damp circuit can damp the oscillating voltage across the rectifier diodes with a smaller voltage stress of the damping capacitor and eliminate the circulating current. In addition, the proposed converter can achieve additional advantages such as nearly ZCS switching for leading-leg switches and no recovery current for rectifier-bridge by the suitable design of the damp capacitor to resonate with leakage inductor. Since the ZVS is achieved for both leading-leg and lagging-leg switches by the magnetizing current of the transformer, it can be achieved regardless of the load variation. A 3.3 kW prototype converter is implemented for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) application and the advantages of the proposed converter are verified by the experiments. The maximum efficiencies of 98.2% and 97.6% have been achieved for the buck mode and boost mode operation, respectively.

  • The connectorless power supply system on that multi-contact causes confidence when the wiring reconstructed in the rear. As you see above, contact points between sets and indoor space cause inferior function of audio frequency so it needs to be eliminated. This paper explains the structure of connectorless power supply to supply the system with power crossing the air gap in the part of inductively in the connectorless power supply of both magnetic and electrical model. To get maximum output of electrical load, compensating capacitor compensates to show inter-inductance, lequeage-inductance reducing the track-inductance and access the conditions for resonance. At that time it accesses the maximum electric power. The small change of the value of compensating capacitor causes the changes of maximum electric power. Here the power electronics technology is used not only in the industrial machinery but also in the home appliances so the switching power supply is used to actualize the miniaturization, lightweight, and high efficiency. Generally the condenser input methods are widely used in the rectification circuit of switching power supply, but condenser input method generate great quantity of high frequency components because with this method the current flows in the power input filtering condenser only around value of peak of ac input voltage. To solve these problems, installation of power factor improve circuit on the front of filtering capacitence was considered. Several methods were suggested regarding, but the active filter method which makes smalliging and highly power factor possible are the produce main stream. IC for power factor improvement can be utilized by CMOS process proposing low power consumption. When the high power factor is considered seriously in the power factor improvement circuit, active filter method is selected. In the active filter method, the boost converter is used. Regarding this ·the boost converter is needed.
