To reduce the effort in preprocessing of finite element analysis, we developed two types of three-dimensional finite element models based on the standard teeth model. Individual malocclusions were incorporated in the finite element models by considering the measuring factors such as angulation, crown inclination, rotation and translations. The finite element analysis for the wire activation with a T-loop arch wire was carried out. Mechanical behavior on the movement and the initial stress for the malocclusion finite element model was shown to agree with the objectives of the actual treatment. Finite element models and procedures of analysis developed in this study would be suitably utilized for the design of initial shape of the wire and determination of activation displacements.
-4-Quinolone antibiotics (pefloxacin, ciprofloxacin, norfoxacin, ofloxacin and enoxacin) were tested for mutagenicity in Salmonella typhimurium TA98, TA100, TA1535, TA1537, TA1538 and TA102, for chromosomal aberrations in cultured Chinese hamster lung (CHL) cells, and for wing somatic mutations and recombinations (wing spot) in Drosophila. Five 4-quinolones did not show any mutagenicity in Salmonella typhimurium TA98, TA100, TA1535, TA1537 and TA1538. However, they were mutagenic inSalmonella typhimurium TA102 with and without metabolic activation in both plate incorporation method and preincubation method. Ciprofloxacin induced structural chromosome aberrations in CHL cells both with and without metabolic activation, and the frequencies were 6% and up to 28%, respectively. Pefloxacin showed equivocal evidence, however, norfloxacin, ofloxacin and enoxacin did not induce the structural chromosome aberrations both in the presence and absence of metabolic activation. In the wing spot assay in Drosophila, ofloxacin increased the frequency of small single spots significantly in a dose-dependent manner but there was no dose-dependent increase of single or twin spots in the others.
Al film(135.5 nm thick) with Pd film(39.6 nm thick) was made by thermal evaporation method. Electrical resistance change by hydrogen absorption and desorption was measured with four point measurement method. Even though Al film(135.5 nm thick) did not absorb any hydrogen at room temperature, Al/Pd film absorbed hydrogen at upto 640 torr pressure. Hydrogen absorption kinetics was monitored by measuring resistance change of the sample in the temperature range from $25^{\circ}C$ to $40^{\circ}C$. Absorption activation energy of Al/Pd film was about 10.7 and 17.7 kcal/mol H for 1st stage and last stage respectively at 1 torr hydrogen pressure. This activation values are bigger than that of Pd film, but are much less than that of Al film. This result indicates there is possibility that Al can be storage material for hydrogen by using Pd film evaporation on it.
Reduced Activation Ferritic/Martensitic Steels (RAFs) are leading candidntes for structural materials of a D-T fusion reactor. One of the RAFs, JLF-l (9Cr-2W-V, Ta) has been developed and has shown to have good resistance against high-fluency neutrino irradiation and good phase stability. Recently, in order to clarify the strengthening mechanisms at high temperatures, a new scheme to improve high temperature mechanical properties is desired. Therefore, the test technique development of high temperature creep behaviors for this material is very important. In this paper, the creep properties and creep life prediction, using the Larson-Miler parameter method for JLF-l to be used for fusion reactor materials or other high temperature components, are presented at the elevated temperatures of 50$0^{\circ}C$, 55$0^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$ and 704$^{\circ}C$. It was confirmed, experimentally and quantitatively, that a creep life predictive equation, at such various high temperatures, is well derived mr the LMP method.

The kinetic parameters, including the activation energy E, the reaction order n, and the pre-exponential factor Z, of the degradation of the copolymers based on the poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) or poly(p-dioxanone-co-L-lactide) (PDO/PLLA) and diol-terminated poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) segments have been evaluated by the single heating methods of Friedman and Freeman-Carroll. The experimental results showed that copolymers exhibited two degradation steps under nitrogen that can be ascribed to PLLA or PDO/PLLA and PEG segments, respectively. However, copolymers exhibited almost single degradation step in air. Although the values of initial decomposition temperature were scattered, copolymers showed the lower maximum weight loss rate and degradation-activation energy in air than in nitrogen whereas the higher value of temperature at the maximum rate of weight loss was observed in air.

Nowadays, evaluation of amounts and distributions of radioactive waste is an important preparatory step in the process of nuclear reactor decommissioning. For tentative estimation of radioactive waste, a cell-based rigorous 2 step (R2S) method usually is used; however, a poor resolution caused by the averaged flux and spectrum in a cell is still a great challenge because of leading to underestimated or overestimated results. To overcome the poor resolution, several systems were introduced. Neither system, however, provides any function for evaluation of radioactive waste amount and distribution. Thus, it is additionally required to classify radioactive waste based on the results of activation calculation. In this study, the advanced R2S (AR2S) system was developed. To verify the performance of the system, its results for a verification problem were compared with those of the cell-based R2S method. The results showed good agreement, which is to say, within 2.0% relative error. Also, several characteristics of fine/coarse mesh were analyzed. To demonstrate the performance of the AR2S system, the radioactive waste from the Japan Power Demonstration Reactor (JPDR) was estimated, and the result indicated a high-resolution distribution. Therefore, it is expected that the AR2S system will prove useful for precise evaluation of radioactive waste.
In this study, the applicability of reduction-oxidation-linked treatment was evaluated for nitrobenzene and a by-product by analyzing the reaction kinetics. Nitrobenzene showed very low reactivity to persulfate that was activated using various methods. Nitrobenzene effectively reacted through the reduction process using Zero-Valent Iron (ZVI). However, aniline, a toxic substance, was produced as a by-product. Reduction-oxidation-linked treatment is a method that can allow the oxidative degradation of aniline after reducing nitrobenzene to aniline. The experimental results show improved reactivity and complete decomposition of the by-product. Improved reactivity and decomposition of the by-product were observed even under conditions in which the reduction-oxidation reaction was induced simultaneously. No activator was injected for persulfate activation in the process of reducing oxidant linkage, and the activation reaction was induced by ferrous iron eluted from the ZVI. This indicates that this method can be implemented relatively simply.

In this study, we propose a ripe tomato bunch localization method based on convolutional neural networks, to be applied in robotic harvesting systems. Tomato images were obtained from a smart greenhouse at the Rural Development Administration (RDA). The sample images for training were extracted based on tomato maturity and resized to 128 × 128 pixels for use in the classification model. The model was constructed based on four-layer convolutional neural networks, and the classes were determined based on stage of maturity, using a Softmax classifier. The localization of the ripe tomato bunch region was indicated on a class activation map. The class activation map could show the approximate location of the tomato bunch but tends to present a local part or a large part of the ripe tomato bunch region, which could lead to poor performance. Therefore, we suggest a recursive method to improve the performance of the model. The classification results indicated that the accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score were 0.98, 0.87, 0.98, and 0.92, respectively. The localization performance was 0.52, estimated by the Intersection over Union (IoU), and through input recursion, the IoU was improved by 13%. Based on the results, the proposed localization of the ripe tomato bunch area can be incorporated in robotic harvesting systems to establish the optimal harvesting paths.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to compare the lower extremities muscle activation between squatting exercise with gym ball and wall for improving muscle strengthening in lower extremities. METHODS: Participants were 21 university students (males 10, females 11) who didn't have any problem with orthopedic surgery. Participants performed squatting exercise with gym ball and wall. Squatting exercise with gym ball were performed using by gym ball behind back, and the gym ball were fixed in back and wall. We asked participants to push back the gym ball slightly to prevent fall of ball. Wall squatting exercise, we ask participants to contact their back in wall slightly in order to prevent trunk flexion during performed squatting exercise. Each squatting exercise had performed until knee joint were flexed at 60 degree, and maintained five seconds. We collected data from E.M.G of Biceps femoris, Gastrocnemius, Vastus medialis and lateralis, Tibialis anterior of lower extremity in isometric phase of knee joint angle 60 degree of each squatting exercise. We analysed data using by ANOVA and independent t-test of SPSS PC ver.20.0 in order to compare the muscle activation between squatting exercise with gym ball and wall. RESULT: All of lower extremities muscle activation showed more higher value in squatting exercise with gym ball than squatting exercise with wall, especially there was significantly difference of muscle activation in vastus medialis, tibialis anterior between squatting exercise with gymball and with wall. CONCLUSION: On comprehensively considering the results of the present study, we suggested that squatting exercise with gym ball was more effective method improving lower extremity muscle strengthening.
$NF-{\kappa}B$ (nuclear factor-kappa B) plays a particularly central role in epidermal biology. It has been established that ultraviolet radiation (UVR) is one of the mechanisms to induce the activation of $NF-{\kappa}B$ in human skin. We previously demonstrated that melanogenic inhibitors may act through the inhibition of $NF-{\kappa}B$ activation in keratinocytes. In order to find another type of melanogenic inhibitors of $NF-{\kappa}B$ activation, various kinds of the extracts from crude drugs $(30\;{\mu}g/ml)$ were preincubated with transfectant HaCaT cells for 3 hrs and then UVR $(60\;mj/cm^2)$ was irradiated. UVR-exposed cells were incubated for another 6 hrs to measure the $NF-{\kappa}B$ activity. $NF-{\kappa}B$ activation was measured with the secreatory alkaline phosphates (SEAP) reporter gene assay using a fluorescence detection method. Among natural products, Lycium chinense, Acanthopanax senticosus, Angelica koreana, Kalopanax pictus and Asparagus cochinchinensis were the most potent inhibitors of $NF-{\kappa}B$ activation by UVR. These observations suggest that some crude drugs might act partially through the modulation of the synthesis of melanotrophic factors to decrease melanogenesis in keratinocytes.
