Action-Based Audit with Relational Rules to Avatar Interactions for Metaverse Ethics

  • Metaverse provides a simulated environment where a large number of users can participate in various activities. In order for Metaverse to be sustainable, it is necessary to study ethics that can be applied to a Metaverse service platform. In this paper, Metaverse ethics and the rules for applying to the platform are explored. And, in order to judge the ethicality of avatar actions in social Metaverse, the identity, interaction, and relationship of an avatar are investigated. Then, an action-based audit approach to avatar interactions (e.g., dialogues, gestures, facial expressions) is introduced in two cases that an avatar enters a digital world and that an avatar requests the auditing to subjects, e.g., avatars controlled by human users, artificial intelligence (AI) avatars (e.g., as conversational bots), and virtual objects. Pseudocodes for performing the two cases in a system are presented and they are examined based on the description of the avatars' actions.

A Deep Learning Algorithm for Fusing Action Recognition and Psychological Characteristics of Wrestlers

  • Wrestling is one of the popular events for modern sports. It is difficult to quantitatively describe a wrestling game between athletes. And deep learning can help wrestling training by human recognition techniques. Based on the characteristics of latest wrestling competition rules and human recognition technologies, a set of wrestling competition video analysis and retrieval system is proposed. This system uses a combination of literature method, observation method, interview method and mathematical statistics to conduct statistics, analysis, research and discussion on the application of technology. Combined the system application in targeted movement technology. A deep learning-based facial recognition psychological feature analysis method for the training and competition of classical wrestling after the implementation of the new rules is proposed. The experimental results of this paper showed that the proportion of natural emotions of male and female wrestlers was about 50%, indicating that the wrestler's mentality was relatively stable before the intense physical confrontation, and the test of the system also proved the stability of the system.

가변적인 컴포넌트 개발을 위한 컴파일러 방식의 룰 엔진 (A Compiler Based Rule Engine for Developing Changeable Component)

  • 가변적인 컴포넌트의 재사용성이나 적응성을 높이기 위해 룰 기반 컴포넌트 개발 방법들이 제안되고 있다. 룰 기반 컴포넌트 개발에서 사용하는 룰 엔진들은 룰을 표현하기 위해 추가적인 스크립트 언어가 필요하며 따라서 복잡한 비즈니스 룰을 표현하는데 어려움이 많다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 룰 표현과 성능 향상을 위한 컴파일러 기반의 룰 엔진을 제안한다. 제안한 룰 엔진은 룰의 컨디션과 액션 부분을 표현하기 위해 자바 프로그래밍 언어를 사용한다. 따라서 복잡한 비즈니스 룰을 쉽게 표현할 수 있으며 실행 시에 동적으로 룰의 컨디션과 액션 객체를 생성해서 실행시킬 수 있다. 성능 면에서도 제안한 룰 엔진은 스크립트 기반 룰 엔진보다 우수하다. 성능 실험에 의하면 컴파일러 기반의 룰 엔진 성능은 스크립트 기반 룰 엔진인 JSR-94 보다 2.5배의 높은 성능을 보이고 있다.

능동형 규칙 기반 유비쿼터스 프로세스 설계의 워크플로우 패턴 분석 (Pattern-based Analysis of Ubiquitous Process Design Based on Active Rules)

  • 프로세스 설계에는 Petri-net, EPC, UML Activity Diagram 등 다양한 모델 기법이 사용되고 있다. 업무 프로세스 내에 복잡한 업무 규칙이 다수 결합되어 있거나, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 같이 분산 환경에서 복합한 상호운용 규칙이 산재되어 있는 경우에는 정형적인 프로세스 모델링 기법이 비효율적이므로 규칙 기반의 분산 프로세스 설계를 사용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 규칙 기반 프로세스 설계 방법을 분석한다. 특히, 이벤트-조건-액션(ECA) 형태의 능동형 규칙을 이용한 프로세스 설계를 대상으로 분석하며, ECA 스키마는 웹 서비스 기술을 위해 개발된 WS-ECA 언어를 사용한다. ECA 규칙을 이용한 여러가지 프로세스 통제 흐름 표현 방법을 분석하기 위하여 워크플로우 패턴을 활용하였다. 워크플로우 패턴에 따라 ECA 규칙 기반 프로세스 표현법을 제공함으로써 규칙 기반 프로세스를 설계하기 위한 가이드라인을 제시하였다는 데 연구의 의의가 있다.

Strategy of Object Search for Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems

  • This paper presents the strategy for searching a hidden object in an unknown area for using by multiple distributed autonomous robotic systems (DARS). To search the target in Markovian space, DARS should recognize th ε ir surrounding at where they are located and generate some rules to act upon by themselves. First of all, DARS obtain 6-distances from itself to environment by infrared sensor which are hexagonally allocated around itself. Second, it calculates 6-areas with those distances then take an action, i.e., turn and move toward where the widest space will be guaranteed. After the action is taken, the value of Q will be updated by relative formula at the state. We set up an experimental environment with five small mobile robots, obstacles, and a target object, and tried to research for a target object while navigating in a un known hallway where some obstacles were placed. In the end of this paper, we present the results of three algorithms - a random search, an area-based action making process to determine the next action of the robot and hexagon-based Q-learning to enhance the area-based action making process.

상황 인지 기반의 자동 태스크 설정을 위한 안드로이드 어플리케이션 구현 (Implementation of Context-Aware Android Application for Automatic Task Setting)

  • 안드로이드 스마트폰 사용자는 수동적으로 특정 태스크를 수행하도록 설정할 수 있으나 이러한 수동적 태스크의 설정은 불편할 뿐만 아니라 사용자의 현재 상황을 고려하지 않기 때문에 사용자가 원하지 않은 불필요한 서비스를 제공하여 사용자를 곤란하게 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하는 상황-인지 기반의 자동 태스크 설정 어플리케이션을 설계, 구현하였다. 이 어플리케이션을 사용하면 사용자는 자신이 원하는 상황에 원하는 태스크만을 수행하도록 설정하여 상황에 맞는 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있다. 상황에 따라 원하는 태스크를 수행하도록 기술하기 위해 정형화된 구문을 설계 하였으며 안전한 태스크 설정을 위해 구문의 유효성을 자동으로 검사하는 유효성 검사기를 구현하였다.

  • After a work of Derman and Ross(1997) that considered simple main runs rules and derived ARL (Average Run Length) using Markov chain modeling, $\bar{X}$ control chart based on diverse alternative main and supplementary runs rules that is the most popular control chart for monitoring the mean of a process are proposed. This paper reviews and discusses the-state-of-art researches for these runs rules and classifies according to several properties of runs rules. ARL derivation for a proposed runs rule is also illustrated.

  • This paper proposes a sensor-based path planning method which utilizes fuzzy logic and neural network for obstacle avoidance of a mobile robot in uncertain environments. In order to acquire the information about the environment around the mobile robot, the ultrasonic sensors mounted on the front of mobile robot are used. The neural network, whose inputs are preprocessed by ultrasonic sensor readings, informs the mobile robot of the situation of environment in which mobile robot is at the present instant. Then, according to the situation class, the fuzzy rules are fired to make a decision on the mobile robot action. In addition, this method can be implemented real time since the number of fuzzy rules used to avoid the obstacle is small. Fuzzy rules are constructed based on the human reasoning and tuned by iterative simulations. The effective of the proposed avoidance method is verified by a series of simulations.

상법상 실제운송인의 손해배상책임에 관한 비판적 고찰과 입법론 (A Critical Review and Proposal to Legislation in respect of Actual Carrier's Liability under the Commercial Act)

  • Under the Korean legal system, as an actual carrier is not the contractual party to the contract for carriage of goods by sea, it has been tortiously liable for the damage to, or loss of cargo, should there be the negligence by its part. However, the Rotterdam Rules introduces a revolutionary liability regime for the actual carrier. According to the Rotterdam Rules, the liability of the actual carrier is same with that of a contractual carrier with the result that a shipper is entitled to bring the direct action to the actual carrier, as well as the contractual carrier on the same basis. Nevertheless, it is expected to take long time for the new approach in respect of actual carrier's liability to be confirmed by many countries, and furthermore most of shipping countries including Korea still adopt the Hague-Vis by Rules where the shipper is not allowed to bring the direct action to the actual carrier. This study reviews on whether or not the alteration of actual carrier's liability based on Rotterdam Rules would be reasonable, considering the current Korean legal system. Furthermore, this study, whilst recognizing that the overall introduction of the new liability regime is somewhat premature, suggests the imposition of contractual liability to the actual carrier from a long-term perspective. Having in mind that the article 809 of the Korean Commercial Act allows the shipper to bring the direct action to the shipowner only in the case that a time charterer is the contractual carrier, this study explores a method to apply the contractual liability to the actual carrier in the case that a slot charterer or freight forwarder is the contractual carrier, in order to establish the uniform liability system.
