  • Server-side scripting languages for web applications have a different environment from general programming languages. The reason is that some data in web applications should be transferred to a distinct file of a page or should be maintained for a physical time, that is for session time. SO JSP has four kinds of new scopes such as page, request, session, application. And every identifiers in JSP are classified and processed as one of the four scopes. This seems unavoidable to a scripting language because of the web environment. So when a JSP page using these new scope concepts is interpreted the procedure would be different from that of the general programming language's scopes. This thesis has studied the processing of the scopes which are considered in interpreting a script language code. This processing method of the scopes in this article can be applied not only to JSP interpreting but also to a data processing of similar ranges in web.

  • In this study computer assisted instruction materials for the ‘Solution' chapter in high school chemistry II textbook were developed based on a view of particle and analyze the effect of the materials on 10th and 11th high school students. The contents of developed materials are dissolution, vapor pressure, the change of boiling point and freezing point, osmosis, and so on which are the major contents of Solution chapter in high school chemistry II textbook. Materials were developed with using animation and simulation for students understanding of the phenomena with a particle view point. Many phenomena in a solution were not simplified by colligative property of solution, but tried to explain by the concept of attraction between solute and solvent molecules. This computer assisted learning materials were developed using Flash 5.0 and Flash 6.0 Action Script. Educational effects of the materials on 10th and 11th grade students represented statistically meaningful increase of concept understanding. Especially the materials were effective to the transition stage or formal stage students in 10th grade and formal stage or the natural science major students in 11th grade.

  • This study makes a proposal about Flash mobile game applications using Adobe AIR. In developing a mobile game, the developer programs in Flash ActionScript, and distributes and publishes the program using Adobe AIR so that the game can be played on an Android mobile device. In order to run the game, the player downloads and installs Android Adobe AIR onto the mobile device and sets up the published app. This study designed and implemented a mobile game application and showed that a mobile game is executed on a smart phone. This outcome may be applicable to various genres of apps. Moreover, this study analyzed the trends of mobile games, focusing on their genres and characteristics, and according to the results, most of them were mobile games using Kakao Talk. The analysis results also showed that the popularity ranking of games varied little among sites.

  • A light-weight enough to be portable yet functionally complete hand-writing machine was designed with hardware assembled and software implemented. The machine simulating human hand-writing not only allows identical massive scriptings on papers in human's proxy, but also offers emotional appearance as if the script was directly hand-written in ink. The features of human writing were independently put together to complete the action of scripting. The writing style could be altered in order to mimic a person's own specific writing style. The present work demonstrates that the assembled hand-writing machine was able to duplicate writing of scripts in almost parallel lines in consistent manner. The machine can be used in the emotional marketing area where seasonal greetings or thank-you cards are to be sent in massive manner. The pen-holding machine can also find an emotional application such as writing a short greeting note on a plastic lid on a disposable coffee cup in coffee-selling stores.

  • Schedule management of construction work is important in order to complete construction projects within a given period of time. As activities increase and relations become more complex, schedule management software becomes increasingly necessary. To address this, attempts are being made to incorporate web-based ICT (information and communications technology) in construction project management. This research proposed a method to manage construction schedules via web pages using Flash. The interactive and graphic property of Flash enables a field manager to manage schedules easily and efficiently. A prototype was implemented using Flash and Action Script, and it was applied to a sample network in a web page.

  • Cloud services are often provisioned to their customers using user-friendly web browsers with flexible and rich plug-in environments. Delay is one of the fundamental performance metrics of these web-based services. Commonly-used network measurement tools usually only measure network delay and it may be difficult to infer the web-delay performance using only network layer measurement approaches. In this paper, we propose to evaluate the application layer delay in a browser-based network measurement platform using engineered scripts. We conducted a delay measurement study using instrumented scripts in the proposed browser-based measurement platform. Our investigation included a comparison study of three browser-scripting delay measurement methods, including Java applet, JSP and Flash ActionScript. We developed a browser-based delay measurement testbed over the Internet so that different delay measurement tools could be evaluated in the same real network environment including typical Internet paths and the Baidu cloud. We also decomposed the components of the end-to-end delay process of the above measurements to reveal the difference and relationship between the network-layer delay and the application-layer delay. Our measurement results characterize the stochastic properties of the application-layer delay over real Internet paths, and how these properties vary from the underlying network layer delay. This browser-scripting measurement approach can be easily deployed on different cloud service platforms to inspect their application-layer delay performance between end clients and the cloud platforms. Our measurement results may provide insights into designing new cloud services with enhanced quality-of-experience perceived by cloud users.

  • Recently the navigation service and LBS (Location based Services) using map supports much information services on mobile terminal. Also Internet Web sites support user much information. But, the user has the difficulty for acquiring the service and the various information based on map because of searching the many Internet sites. Accordingly, this paper supports a convergence information service model of various culture, education, tourism, sport and traffic for accessing synthesizing information based on map. And we design and implement this model using 공개 API. We present a convergence information service model of culture, tourism, sport and bus line information form tour destination and cultural place of Jeju province using the model. Additionally, we develop this service model using apache web server on Linux environment, PHP and JavaScript, MySQL database and Map 공개 API. As this service model supports a convenience action of culture and tourism for Jeju islanders and tourists.

  • This paper describes the life GIS(Geographic Information System) system that enables users to look up the final destination on a map automatically by setting up a random radius of threshold under the present user position. Various information systems based on the existing GIS have disadvantage that a search is difficult when the destination location is not clear. And it is inefficient that the processing time is delay due to a complex configuration and large amount of informations based on the target of special business supports. Therefore, this paper improves these problems and proposes the customized life GIS which is for the general user in the Flash(Action Script) environment. The customized life GIS confirms the detail items from search results, which is destinations fitting for a condition in the suitable radius of threshold from the present user position. And the user can look up the suitable final destination on a map easily using the customized information system. The result of this paper, which is based on the sample of the large unit locations, will be expected to be able to guide more detail, extensive and various informations.

  • Content used in mashups is typically obtained from a third party source through a public interface or API (web services). Other methods of obtaining content for mashups include Web feeds (e.g. RSS or Atom), and screen scraping. A mashup or meshup Web application has two parts: A new service delivered through a Web page, using its own data and data from other sources. The blended data, made available across the Web through an API or other protocols such as HlTP, RSS, REST, etc. There are many types of mashups, such as consumer mashups, data mashups, and Business Mashups. The most common mashup is the consumer mashup, which are aimed at the general public. Examples include Google Maps, iGuide, and RadioClouds. 4D Wall-map display is data mashups combine similar types of media and information from multiple sources into a single representation. This technology focus data into a single presentation and allow for collaborative action among ITS-related information sources.
