  • In this paper, we study uniform exponential stabilization of the vibrations of the Kelvin-Voigt type wave equation with acoustic boundary in a bounded domain in $R^n$. To stabilize the systems, we incorporate separately, the internal material damping in the model as like Gannesh C. Gorain [1]. Energy decay rates are obtained by the exponential stability of solutions by using multiplier technique.

  • In this paper, we describe that the acoustic PD detection is examined in the various structures and position shapes of sensors. We find that the acoustic waves rate the complexity in various structures and position shapes of sensors may reduce the complexity of the acoustic wave in the PD detection of transformers.

  • Acoustic holography is adopted in identifying the noise sources of a vehicle's underbody. Wind noise from a vehicle's underbody accounts for a large portion of the overall noise level due to the complex flow structure. Current study presents the development process of acoustic holography in the vehicle underbody, and discusses the results obtained using the method. Difficulties associated with using acoustic holography as well as the implication of the results regarding future noise reduction possibilities are discussed.

  • In this paper, we study uniform exponential stabilization of the vibrations of the Kirchho type wave equation with acoustic boundary in a bounded domain in $R^n$. To stabilize the system, we incorporate separately, the passive viscous damping in the model as like Gannesh C. Gorain [1]. Energy decay rate is obtained by the exponential stability of solutions by using multiplier technique.

  • In underwater, acoustic waves are used for telecommunication. The communication channels are very complicated, because of the distribution of temperature in depth, reflections from boundaries like as the surface of water and the bottom. We report the constitution of the underwater acoustic channel using the simulation of the Transmission Line Matrix Modeling and cross-correlations from the input and output signals.

  • A new formulation of the MNDIF method is introduced to extract highly accurate eigenvalues of concave acoustic cavities with arbitrary shapes. It is said that the MNDIF method cannot yield accurate eigenvalues for concave cavities. To overcome this weak point, a new approach of dividing a concave cavity into two convex domains is proposed. The validity of the proposed method is shown through a case study.

  • Comparison of acoustic emission, ultrasonic testing and crack gauge in 3-point bending testing have been studied. As the results, COD is indirectly assumed by strain gauge rate and grid pitch width when crack gauge grid is out. Acoustic emission is qualitatively able to measure crack growth by total count but ultrasonic testing has a difficulty in measuring it because of echo height fluctuation according to the change and pressure of UT. probe.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the pitch rules of Chinese poetry. Pitch rules are concerned with the high tone and the low tone. Because Chinese poetry is a fixed form of verse, it must keep pitch rules to compose Chinese poetry. But until now there has been no acoustic study of pitch rules of Chinese poetry. So, for the first time the present study investigates pitch rules of Chinese poetry acoustically. Pitch contours were analyzed from the sound spectrogram made by Praat. Results showed that actual pitch patterns did not coincide with theoretical pitch rules in reciting Chinese poetry. Therefore, in studying Chinese classics, the Chinese poetry, which has traditionally been considered to be recited according to original Chinese pitch rules, must now be considered in terms of how pitch rules may have changed over time in Korea since it was first introduce to Korean scholars.

  • In this study, the extracted words from the former study such as annoying, loud, noisy, irritating, disagreeable, strident, disturbed, and dissonant are given to subjects in psycho acoustic experiment lab. And then, correlation analysis between the words and floor impact noise rating method were carried out. As a result of this study followings are suggested ‘Annoying’ is the word most accurately expressing the subjects’ unpleasant feeling of domestic floor impact noise. The results of this study could be basic materials for psycho acoustic experiments for criteria on floor impact noise and Sound Classification on Floor Impact Sound Insulation Performance.
