우주발사체 발사에 의한 발사장 주변의 음향 소음 분석 (Analysis on Acoustic Noise around Launch Pad Induced by the Launch of a Space Launch Vehicle)

  • 우주발사체 비행에 의한 발사장 주변의 음향 소음에 대하여 분석하였다. 발사체 엔진 배기 제트에 소음원을 위치시키고 소음의 방향성, 대기 감쇄 등을 고려하여 발사장 주변의 특정 지점에 미치는 소음의 크기를 예측하였다. KSLV-I의 발사 소음을 예측하고 이 결과를 비행시험시의 측정 결과와 비교하였다. 분석 결과는 소음의 방향성에 의해 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며 소음 방향성 정보에 대한 적절한 가정에 의해 시험 결과와 예측 결과가 서로 잘 일치하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 경험적으로 측정점 사이의 간격과 구경의 크기를 정하는 방법 에 대하여 살펴보았다.이에 반하여 둘러싸기 오차(wraparound error)는 이산화된 파수 성분 데이타의 처리 과정에서 발생하게 되는데, 이를 줄이기 위한 방법의 일환으 로 본 논문에서는 제로패딩(zero padding)방법을 도입하였다. 또한 둘러싸기 오차 (wraparound error)의 크기를 정량화하여 신뢰할 수 있는 예측결과의 범위를 살펴보았 다.

심도 청각장애 성인의 한국어 단모음 조음 특성: 모음 음향 공간의 F1, F2 값을 중심으로 (The Articulation Characteristics of the Profound Hearing-Impaired Adults' Korean Monophthongs: with Reference to the F1, F2 of Acoustic Vowel Space)

  • This study investigates the differences in acoustic parameters in vowel space across hearing loss, gender and vowels. The parameters include F1, F2, Euclidean Distance between vowels, and vowel triangular area comprised of /i/, /a/ and /u/. For this study, 20 hearing-impaired and normal hearing adults as a control group were asked to read 7 Korean vowels (/a, $\wedge$, o, u, w, i, $\varepsilon$/). Subjects' readings were recorded by NasalView and analyzed by Praat. Results showed that F1 were significantly higher in the hearing impaired group than in the normal hearing group, higher in the female group than in male group, and higher in low vowels than in high vowels. And the means of F2 was significantly higher in the hearing impaired group than in normal hearing group, higher in high vowels than in low vowels, and there was no difference between male and female group. Secondly, Euclidean distance between vowels was significantly shorter in the hearing-impaired group than in the normal group. Finally, acoustic vowel space area was significantly smaller in the hearing-impaired group than in the normal hearing group. The hearing-impaired group showed that front vowels tended to be backed and back vowels to be fronted.

음향방출기법을 응용한 플라스틱 쉘 구조물의 건전성 평가 연구 (Experimental Evaluation Study on the Integrity of Plastic Shell Structure using Acoustic Emission Technique)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속 충격환경을 경험하는 플라스틱 구조 소재에 대한 인장속도별 물성 평가 시험 및 구조건전성 평가에 음향방출 기법을 적용하였다. 인장속도별 물성 평가시험을 통하여 플라스틱 소재 구조물의 건전성 평가에 유용한 음향방출 신호 특성 인자들을 획득하였다. 인장속도에 따른 인장강도는 저속 인장속도 구간에서는 속도가 증가함에 따라 강도가 증가하는 특성을 보여주었으나 일정 속도 영역 이상의 고속 인장시험에서는 인장속도 증가와 무관하게 일정한 강도 값을 나타내었다. 정적 압축 구조시험에서는 음향방출 기법을 적용함으로써 플라스틱 쉘 구조물의 균열발생 시점 및 위치 등을 정확히 평가할 수 있었다.

On the computation of low-subsonic turbulent pipe flow noise with a hybrid LES/LPCE method

  • Aeroacoustic computation of a fully-developed turbulent pipe flow at $Re_{\tau}=175$ and M = 0.1 is conducted by LES/LPCE hybrid method. The generation and propagation of acoustic waves are computed by solving the linearized perturbed compressible equations (LPCE), with acoustic source DP(x,t)/Dt attained by the incompressible large eddy simulation (LES). The computed acoustic power spectral density is closely compared with the wall shear-stress dipole source of a turbulent channel flow at $Re_{\tau}=175$. A constant decaying rate of the acoustic power spectrum, $f^{-8/5}$ is found to be related to the turbulent bursts of the correlated longitudinal structures such as hairpin vortex and their merged structures (or hairpin packets). The power spectra of the streamwise velocity fluctuations across the turbulent boundary layer indicate that the most intensive noise at ${\omega}^+$ < 0.1 is produced in the buffer layer with fluctuations of the longitudinal structures ($k_zR$ < 1.5).

인공와우 이식 시기에 따른 모음의 음향음성학적 특성 (Acoustic Characteristics of Some Vowels Produced by the CI Children of Various Age Groups)

  • This study was to compare some acoustic characteristics of vowels produced by children with cochlear implant (CI) and the children with normal hearing. 20 subjects under ten years old were further classified into two groups (one group of CI children under four years old and the other group of CI children over four years old). For the normal hearing group, 20 subjects are participated in the experiment. Some acoustic parameters including fundamental frequency (F0) and formant frequencies (F1, F2) were measured in the two groups according to the age of cochlear implant operation. For the CI group, three comer vowels (/a/, /i/, /u/) were recorded five times in isolation and analyzed with Multi-Speech (Kay Elemetrics, model 3700), and two independent t-tests on their formant data were conducted using SPSS 11.5. The result showed that the implanted group over four years had a significant difference in F0 and F1 comparing with the implanted group under four years of age as well as the normal hearing group. Those values of the children with the implanted group under four years old were closer to those of the children with the normal hearing. As to the F2, there was no significant difference among implanted groups. However, it was shown that the vowel space for the implanted groups regardless the operation age indicated much smaller than that for the normal hearing children. This acoustic results suggest that CI surgery would be much more effective if it is done under the age of four years old.

  • In this paper, a new Three-Phase Lead-Lag Random Pulse Position PWM(LL-RPWM) scheme is proposed and implemented for decreasing audible acoustic noise of motor drives. In the proposed RPWM(Random PWM), each of three phase pulses is located randomly in each switching interval. Based on the space vector modulation technique, the duty ratio of the pulses is calculated. Along with the randomization of the PWM pulses, we can obtain the effects of spread spectra of voltage, current as in the case of randomly changed switching frequency. To verify the validity of the proposed LL-RPWM, the simulation and experimental study was tried. Along with the randomization PWM pulses, the space vector modulation is also executed in the C167 micro-controller. The simulation and experimental results show that the voltage and current harmonics are spread to a wide band area and that the audible acoustic noise is reduced by the proposed RPWM method.

Acoustic Noise Reduction and Power Factor Correction in Switched Reluctance Motor Drives

  • In this paper, a four-phase 8/6-pole 4-kW SR motor drive model is presented. Based on experimental data, the model allows an accurate simulation of a drive in dynamic operation. Simulations are performed and a laboratory type set-up is built based on a TI TMS320F2812 platform to experimentally verify the theoretical results obtained for a SR motor. To reduce acoustic noise and to correct the power factor of this drive, a two-stage power converter is proposed that uses a current source rectifier (CSR) as the input stage for the asymmetrical converter of the studied SRM. Employing the space-vector modulation (SVM) method in matrix converters, the CSR switching allows the dc link's capacitors to be eliminated and the power factor of the SRM drive to be improved. As the electrical motive force (emf) is directly proportional to the rotor speed, the input voltage to the machine can be programmed to be a function of the speed with the modulation index of the CSR, leading to a reduction in the acoustic noise of the SRM drive. Simulation of the whole SRM drive system is performed using MATLAB-Simulink. The results fully comply with the required conditions such as power factor correction with an improvement in the THD.

다양한 경계 형상에 따른 구조-음향 연성계의 음향특성 (The Effects of the Boundary Shapes on the Structural-acoustic Coupled System)

  • If a wall separates the bounded and unbounded spaces, then the wall’s role in transporting the acoustic characteristics of the two spaces is not well defined. In this paper, we attempted to see how the acoustic characteristics of two spaces are really affected by the spatial characteristics of the wall. In order to understand coupling mechanism, we choose a finite space and a semi-infinite space separated by the flexible or rigid wall and an opening. A volume interaction can be occurred in structure boundary and a pressure Interaction can be happened in the opening boundary. For its simplicity, without loosing generality, we use rather simplified rectangle model instead of generally shaped model. The source impedance is presented to the various types of boundaries. The distributions of pressure and active intensity are also presented at the cavity- and structure-dominated modes. The resulting modification, shifts of modal frequencies and changing of standing wave patterns to satisfy both coupled boundary conditions and governing equations, are presented.

수중음향 통신채널 환경에서 시공간 블록부호를 적용한 주파수영역 등화기법의 성능평가 (Performance Comparison of Space Time block coded Frequency Domain Equalization transmission Scheme in Underwater Acoustic Communication Channel)

  • 본 논문에서는 수중음향 통신환경에서 다중경로에 의한 심볼간 간섭을 제거하기 위한 방법으로 STBC 전송구조를 결합한 FDE 기법을 제시하고, 그 성능을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 수중통신환경을 고려한 수중음향채널을 모델링하였고, 이 채널에 대한 수중통신 모의시험 결과를 제시하였다. 주파수영역 등화의 경우, 전송블록 양쪽에 훈련신호가 추가되는 구조적 특성상 OFDM 기법에 비해 약 4% 정도의 전송률 저하를 보이나 OFDM에 비해 4.4%에서 16.8%(SNR 9dB기준) 향상된 SER 특성을 보였다.
