새로운 내측기어 성형용 사출성형 금형구조의 개발 (Development of a new injection mold structure for internal gears)

  • As a rotating machine element, plastic gears are more and more widely used in such as industrial machine element, since plastic gear is lighter, higher wear-resistance, and higher vibration absorbing ability than metal gears. When operating plastic parts, tooth breakage and fatigue life shortened due to increasing number of applying load and tooth flank temperature rising, such that accuracy of plastic gears is divided from allowable range to cause vibration and noise. On this study, a internal plastic gears are developed which improved the filling balance molding process by a new injection mold structure. The new mold structure called HR3P(hot runner type 3plate mold). As the result from this studies, we obtained a very accurate roundness internal gears by using design of experiment.

  • A 600HP class high-speed gear driven 3-stage turbo-compressor (IGCC : Integrally Geared Centrifugal Compressor) driven by a 3600 rpm AC induction motor has been designed, of which low speed pinion runs at 35000 rpm and high speed pinion at 50000 rpm nominally. Due to its high speed operation, the system requires very reliable bearing selection and design as well as accurate rotordynamic analysis and prediction of its dynamic behavior to secure the operating reliability. Rotordaynamic analyses of the IGCC rotor-bearing system predicted that the low speed pinion rotor mounted on 5-pad tilting pad bearings has two critical speeds before its design speed and high speed pinion rotor only one critical speed, and estimated critical speeds of both pinion shafts are away from the continuous operating speed enough to satisfy the corresponding API requirement. The forced response analysis with API specified maximum allowable unbalances also showed that unbalance responses are small enough for smooth operation of the system.

Position Control of Wafer Lift Pin for the Reduction of Wafer Slip in Semiconductor Process Chamber

  • Undetected wafer slip during the lift pin-down motion in semiconductor equipment may affect the center to edge variation, wafer warpage, and pattern misalignment in plasma equipment. Direct measuring of the amount of wafer slip inside the plasma process chamber is not feasible because of the hardware space limitation inside the plasma chamber. In this paper, we demonstrated a practice for the wafer lift pin-up and down motions with respect to the gear ratio, operating voltage, and pulse width modulation to maintain accurate wafer position using remote control linear servo motor with an experimentally designed chamber mockup. We noticed that the pin moving velocity and gear ratio are the most influencing parameters to be control, and the step-wised position control algorithm showed the most suitable for the reduction of wafer slip.

  • 마그네트 기어를 이용하면 기계적인 접촉없이 동력을 전달할 수 있다. 마그네트 기어 기반 감속 시스템에서 종동축은 구동축으로부터 분리되어있기 때문에 시스템은 제한된 공극 강성으로 부하 변화에 대응해야하는 2관성 공진 시스템이다. 종동축 즉, 저속측은 구동축 인가 토크만으로 제어되고 갑작스런 외란에 따라 일반적인 기계식 기어 시스템과 달리 과도한 진동이나 슬립이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 저속측에 인가되는 부하 등의 외란은 실시간으로 측정되거나 추정되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 고조파 조절기 일체형 마그네트 기어를 이용한 감속 시스템의 저속측 속도 제어를 위한 전상태 되먹임 제어기를 제안하고 이를 전산 모의 시험과 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 저속측 부하를 추정하기 위해 새로운 상태변수를 도입하여 관측기를 설계하였으며 이를 기반으로 하는 전상태 제어기를 통한 외란에 대한 강건성은 2자유도 PI 속도 제어기와 비교하였다. 상대적으로 짧은 시간안에 극의 슬립이 보정되는 것을 확인하였으며 추정된 변수는 실제 측정 결과와 유사한 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 마그네트 기어 감속기의 서보 시스템으로의 응용 가능성을 담보해주는 결과인 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study presents development of a machine for shrink wrapping of cans or drink bottles with thermoplastic films. The accurate position-control, the safety factor of chains, the reduction-ratio of the chain and gear, the appropriate heating temperature for banding vinyl are discussed for the optimum shrink wrapping M/C design.

Development of New Optimized Sampling method for 3D Shape Recovery in the Presence of Noise

  • Noise affects the accuracy of three-dimensional shape recovery. Its occurrence is unpredictable and depends on several mechanical, environmental, and other factors. When two-dimensional image sequences are obtained for shape from focus (SFF), mechanical vibration occurs in the translational stage, causing an error in the three-dimensional shape recovery. To address this issue, mechanical vibration is modeled using Newton's second law and the principle of the rack and pinion gear. Then, an optimal sampling step size considering the mechanical vibration is suggested through theoretical demonstration. Experiments conducted with real objects verify the effectiveness of the proposed sampling step size. In this paper, in a realistic environment with noise, the potential of obtaining more accurate three-dimensional reconstruction results of the objects is explored by acquiring the optimal sampling step size, which improves the sampling step size relative to those reported in a previous study performed under similar conditions.

엔진 직결식 PTO 전동 라인의 주요 설계 변수가 PTO 변속부의 치타음에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Design Parameters on Rattle Noise in a Direct Engine-PTO Driveline of Tractors)

  • Introduction of a direct engine-PTO driveline to agricultural tractors has reduced production cost and increased transmission efficiency of the PTO driveline. However, this type of PTO driveline has caused a severe rattle noise in the PTO gearbox under idle conditions. This study was conducted to investigate the causes of the rattle noise and the effects of driveline parameters on it. A mathematical model was developed for a direct engine-PTO driveline. The model was proved experimentally to be accurate enough to simulate the dynamic characteristics of the PTO driveline motions. The simulation study showed that the rattle noise was caused by collisions between the driving and driven gears in the PTO gearbox due to velocity variation of the gears, which was induced by torque fluctuations from the engine. It was also found that the rattle noise decreased with the drag torque and mass moment of inertia of the engine flywheel. Smaller mass moment of inertia of the driven gears and backlash also reduced the rattle noise. However, increasing the drag torque and mass moment of the engine flywheel or decreasing the backlash and mass moment of inertia of the driven gears were limited practically by their detrimental effects on transmission efficiency, gear strength and smooth meshing of the gears.

Does Different Performance of Sampling Gears (Cast Net versus Gill Net) Bring the Inappropriate Estimation of Freshwater Fish in a Large River?

  • The accurate estimation of fish assemblages is highly dependent on the sampling gear used for sampling. We used data from 15 sampling sites along the Nakdong River, which is a large river in South Korea, to identify differences in assemblages and sizes of freshwater fishes collected with either cast nets or gill nets, the two most commonly used sampling gear in South Korea. The two gears differed in the fish assemblages they captured, with more species caught by gill nets. Further, due to its tighter mesh size, the cast net caught significantly smaller fishes than the gill nets(independent t-test, p<0.05). We found the cast net to be appropriate for species that inhabit shallow (less than 2 m) and open water, but inappropriate for deep water, habitats with plant beds, and nocturnal species. Thus, cast net sampling is not efficient in a large river environment, and a combination of sampling methods is more suitable for understanding fish assemblages in such habitats. In general, appropriate selection of fishing methods to specific habitats is necessary to improve data quality and minimize the misrepresentation of environmental conditions.

중대형 보일러용 FD FAN의 베인 댐퍼 구조 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficiency Improvement of Vane Damper of Marine Boiler FD FAN)

  • This study have processed the developing of vane damper with accurate control by using gear which is a flow-control equipment of marine boiler's FD fan on this research. For the developing of vane damper, we have corrected some problem from welding & assembly process by changing the design, and for the case of an emergency case, we have applied the easy disassembly & assembly on that vane damper. Compared to Rink type vane damper in current, we have focused on high efficiency with low price of that new developing damper. For selection of actuator, we have tried to find the propriety with our developing focus. Also, we have developed a jig of assembly processing for high productivity with quality, it caused the best assembly performance with heat-treated & processed parts.
