The offshore wind farm is increasingly attractive as one of future energy sources all over the world. In addition, the capacity of an offshore wind turbine gets larger and its physical characteristics are big and heavy. In this regard, a special port is necessary to assemble, store, and transport the offshore wind systems, supporting to form the offshore wind farms. Thus, this study aims to provide a policy maker which evaluation factors can significantly affect to the optimal site selection of a offshore wind port. For this, Fuzzy-AHP method is applied to capture the relative weights. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Five criteria in level I was defined such as the accumulation factor, the regional factor, the economic factor, the location factor, and the consortium factor. Of these, the accumulation factor(37.4%), the location factor(34.2%), and the economic factor( 24.5%) were analyzed by major factors. In level II, three assessment items of each factor were selected so that total fifteen items were formed. To sum up, the site selection of offshore wind port should consider the density of the wind industry, cargo volume of securing the economic operation of terminals, the development degree of offshore wind related industry, and the proximity to the offshore wind farms. In other words, the construction of offshore wind port should be paid attention to considering not only the proximity to offshore wind farms but also the preference of turbine manufacturing companies.
Background: Platelet-activating factor(PAF) might play an important role in the development of acute respiratory distress syndrome. Since PAF induced lung injury is similar to changes of acute respiratory distress gyndrome, and abnormalities in surfactant function have been described in acute respiratory distress syndrome, the authors investigated the effects of PAF on the regulation of surfactant protein A, B and C mRNA accumulation Method: The effects of PAF on gene expression of surfactant protein A, B and C in 24 hours after intratracheal injection of PAF in rats. Surfactant protein A, B and C mRNAs were measured by filter hybridization. Results: The accumulation of SP-A mRNA in PAF treated group was significantly decreased by 37.1 % and 41.6%, respectively compared to the control group and the group treated with Lyso-PAF(p<0.025, p<0.01). The accumulation of SP-B mRNA in PAF treated group was decreased by 18.7% and 32.2 %, respectively compared to the control group and the group treated with Lyso-PAF but statistically not significant. The accumulation of SP-C mRNA in PAF treated group was significantly decreased by 30.7% and 38.5%, respectively compared to the control group and the group treated with Lyso-PAF(p<0.l, p<0.01). Conclusion: These findings represent a marked inhibitory effects of platelet-activating factor on surfactant proteins expression in vivo. This supports, in turn, 'platelet-activating factor might be related to pathogenesis of acute respiratory distress syndrome.

Overproduction of transforming growth factor (TGF)-$\beta$l has been implicated in the pathogenesis of fibrotic diseases. TGF-$\beta$l plays a crucial role in the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) in human and experimental glomerular diseases. However, it remains unclear whether inhibition of TGF- $\beta$l overproduction would suppress TGF- $\beta$l induced ECM accumulation. To inhibit the overproduction of TGF- $\beta$l in experimental glomerulonephritis induced by anti-Thy 1.1 antibody, we introduced antisense oligodeoxynucleotides (ODN) fur TGF- $\beta$l into the nephritic kidney by the HVJ-liposome-mediated gene transfer method. The purpose of this study was to analyze the motives of residential mobility and variables which effect it through surveying questionaires of 240 housewives who lived in a tenement house. The analytical methods adopted in this study were factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, multiple regression analysis. The SPSS+ program was used in analysis. The major findings were as follows: First, the motives were composed of 6 factors ; housing improvement, housing policy, accumulation of property, comfortable residential environment, educational environment, traffic convenience. Second, there were a significant differences in residential mobility according to socio-demographic and housing variables. Third, in analysis of variables which effect residential mobility, a housing improvement influenced by socio-demographic variables, an comfortable residential environment influenced by housing variables and also family life cycle was a variable that effect factors such as housing policy, accumulation of property, educational environment and traffic convenience.
In this study, a systematic investigation is carried out on the seismic behaviour of plane moment resisting steel frames (MRF) to repeated strong ground motions. Such a sequence of earthquakes results in a significant damage accumulation in a structure because any rehabilitation action between any two successive seismic motions cannot be practically materialised due to lack of time. In this work, thirty-six MRF which have been designed for seismic and vertical loads according to European codes are first subjected to five real seismic sequences which are recorded at the same station, in the same direction and in a short period of time, up to three days. Furthermore, the examined frames are also subjected to sixty artificial seismic sequences. This investigation shows that the sequences of ground motions have a significant effect on the response and, hence, on the design of MRF. Additionally, it is concluded that ductility demands, behaviour factor and seismic damage of the repeated ground motions can be satisfactorily estimated using appropriate combinations of the corresponding demands of single ground motions.

This research focuses on searching primary factors in accessing internet shopping sites. In this research we have derived primary factors such as the order factors, the product factors, and the delivery factors by factor analysis approach. We have done AHP analysis on these derived primary factors. The results of AHP analysis show that the most important factor is the product factors and the most important sub factor among the product factors is the after service factor including guaranteed returns and refunds, and product exchangeability. The next important factor is the incentive provision in which discount coupons, mileage accumulation policies are the main sub factors included.

The MeOH extract of Rhus verniciflua heartwood inhibited lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Chromatographic methods including of silica gel, RP-18 and high-pressure liquid chromatography isolated sulfuretin and fisetin from the extract as active constituents. The isolated compounds, especially sulfuretin, strongly inhibited lipid accumulation in adipocytes. The treatment of sulfuretin and fisetin led to decreased expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma ($PPAR{\gamma}$), as an important transcription factor in fat cell differentiation, which was equal to the decrease in the quercetin positive control. The presence of a hydroxyl group (C-5) in quercetin compared to fisetin, and the presence of C-2 double bonds in fisetin compared with fustin increased the inhibitory effect of lipid accumulation.
The main purpose of this study is to suggest and recommend the more reliable flow direction methods within the framework of DEM and power law distribution, by investigating the existing methodologies. To this end SFD (single flow direction method), MFD (multiple flow direction method) and IFD (Infinite flow direction method) are applied to analyze the determination of a flow direction for the water particles as seen in the Jeonjeokbigyo basin, and then assessed with respect to the variation of flow accumulation in that region. As the main results revealed, the study showed the different patterns of flow accumulation are found out from each applications of flow direction methods utilized in this study. This brings us to understand that as the flow dispersion on DEM increases, in this case the contributing areas to the outlet grow in sequence of SFD, IFD, MFD, but it is noted that the contribution of individual pixels into outlet decreases at that time. In what follows, especially with the MFD and IFD, the result tends to make additional hydrologic abstraction from rainfall excess, as noted due to the flow dispersion within flow paths on DEM. Based on the parameter estimation for a power law distribution, which is frequently used for identify the aggregation structure of complex system, by maximum likelihood flow accumulation can be thought of as a scale invariance factor. In this regard, the combination of flow direction methods could give rise to the more realistic water flow on DEM, as revealed through the separate flow direction methods as utilized for dispersion and aggregation effects of water flow within the available different topographies.
In this study, the hepatotoxic mechanism of chaparral (Larrea tridentata) was investigated through in vitro experiments that measured cell death, inflammatory cytokine secretion, and intracellular fat accumulation by treating HepG2 hepatocytes with a 70% ethanol extract of chaparral at concentrations ranging from 0.001 to 100 ㎍/mL. Cell death was observed after treatment with chaparral extract at concentrations of 1-100 ㎍/mL (p<0.05). The secretion of the inflammatory cytokines, interleukin-8 and macrophage-colony stimulating factor, and fat accumulation were significantly increased even at a concentration of 0.1 ㎍/mL, which was 10 times lower than the observed concentration resulting in cell death (p<0.05). Hepatitis caused by inflammatory cytokine secretion and fat accumulation was shown to be a form of hepatotoxicity induced by chaparral extract. Hepatitis was expressed at a concentration lower than that causing serious toxicity such as cell death, suggesting that hepatotoxicity, including hepatitis, may be caused by ingestion of low concentrations of chaparral.
Objectives : In this study, various biological effects of Curcuma longa L. have been studied, however, beneficial effect of Curcuma longa L. in skin health remain still unclear. In this study, Curcuma longa L. water extract (CLE) was prepared. Inhibitory effect of CLE on melanin accumulation of B16F10 cells and expression levels of skin fibril-related proteins of human skin fibroblasts (HSF) were evaluated. Methods : The cytotoxic effect of CLE in B16F10 cells and HSF were examined by MTT assay. Inhibitory effect of CLE on the ${\alpha}-MSH-$ and IBMX-induced melanin accumulation and tyrosinase activity were evaluated in B16F10 cells. The expression levels of connective tissue growth factor (CCN2), Smad2, procollagen $1{\alpha}2$, collagen $1{\alpha}2$, and fibronectin in CLE-treated HSF were analyzed by western blotting. Results : The CLE treatment (concentrations 10 to $400{\mu}g/ml$) for 72 h did not affect to the B16F10 viability. However, 200 and $400{\mu}g/ml$ of CLE treatment for 24 h showed cytotoxic effect in HSF. Therefore, the concentrations 10, 50, and $100{\mu}g/ml$ of CLE were chosen in this study. The CLE treatment for 72 h dose dependently and significantly suppressed melanin accumulation and tyrosinase activity of B16F10 cells. In addition, the CLE treatment up-regulated expression levels of skin fibril-related proteins such as CCN2, Smad2, procollagen $1{\alpha}2$, collagen $1{\alpha}2$, and fibronectin. Conclusions : In conclusion, these results suggest that the CLE could be used as a natural material for skin health.
