Construction is among the most dangerous industries with numerous accidents occurring at job sites. Following an accident, an investigation report is issued, containing all of the specifics. Analyzing the text information in construction accident reports can help enhance our understanding of historical data and be utilized for accident prevention. However, the conventional method requires a significant amount of time and effort to read and identify crucial information. The previous studies primarily focused on analyzing related objects and causes of accidents rather than the construction activities. This study aims to extract construction activities taken by workers associated with accidents by presenting an automated framework that adopts a deep learning-based approach and natural language processing (NLP) techniques to automatically classify sentences obtained from previous construction accident reports into predefined categories, namely TRADE (i.e., a construction activity before an accident), EVENT (i.e., an accident), and CONSEQUENCE (i.e., the outcome of an accident). The classification model was developed using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) showed a robust accuracy of 88.7%, indicating that the proposed model is capable of investigating the occurrence of accidents with minimal manual involvement and sophisticated engineering. Also, this study is expected to support safety assessments and build risk management systems.

연구는 1997년부터 2003년까지 우리나라 전국에서 발생한 스쿠버 잠수 사고 자료를 수집 및 분석하고 일본 및 미국에서 발생한 잠수 사고와 비교 분석하여 우리나라 스쿠버 잠수 사고의 특성을 밝혀내었다. 연구 결과는 잠수 사고 예방에 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 사고 자료는 대한수중협회의 기술위원회에 보고된 자료와 해양경찰청의 자료, 스쿠버 잠수 전문점에 전화 통화 및 방문 조사를 실시하여 얻은 정보, DAN(Diver Alert Network)에서 발행한 잠수 사고 보고 자료집, 월간 잡지에 수록된 잠수 사고 보고 자료, 그리고 세미나 발표 자료 등을 참조하였다. 자료 분석은 사망 사고에 국한하였으며 분석 결과 우리나라의 사망률이 일본의 2.8배, 미국의 2.2배 수준인 것으로 나타났다.

This study aims to provide divers with improved safe diving practices by analyzing reports on scuba diving casualties that recently occured in Korea, Japan and USA. The result of this study should be notified to all the divers in Korea for the purpose of preventing the diving accident. All the data were collected through the diving accident reports of various sourses, which include KUA(Korea Underwater Association) technical committee, the accident statistical data of National Maritime Police Agency, articles of domestic and foreign scuba diving magazine, accident reports of various newspaper, annual report on decompression illness and diving fatalities by DAN(Diver Alert Network), various type of data on diving accident from local as well as national seminars, and medical treatment data of diving accident.

Accident analyses are used to identify common factors contributing to occupational accidents and to give recommendations for accident prevention. This study concerns with the accident characteristics and prevention in the telecommunication service industry. To investigate the accident characteristics, we used workers' compensation reports and employers' accident analysis reports. Three hundred and forty-five injury accidents which results in more than 4 days absence were surveyed. These data were used to investigate the accident characteristics in terms of company size, injured person's age, work experience, accident time, activity at time of accident, accident type, injured body part, and accident agency. We propose the accident prevention policy based on the accident characteristics. These results can be used to develop more effective occupational safety management policies in the telecommunication service industries.

The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of hypersensitiveness in accident reports and usefulness on admission of atomic power generation. By the result of study we can look forward to understanding obstacles and promotion factors in constructing atomic power plants. The results of hypothesis testing can be summarized as follows: First, the hypothesis that hypersensitiveness in accident reports has a plus effect on reliability is accepted. Secondly, the hypothesis that hypersensitiveness in accident reports has a plus effect on anxiety is accepted. Thirdly, the hypothesis that reliability has a plus effect on anxiety is accepted. Fourthly, the hypothesis that reliability has a minus effect on receptiveness is accepted. Fifthly, the hypothesis that anxiety has a minus effect on receptiveness is accepted. Sixthly, the hypothesis that usefulness has a minus effect on necessity is accepted. Seventhly, the hypothesis that usefulness has a plus effect on receptiveness is rejected. Eighthly, the hypothesis that necessity has a minus effect on receptiveness is accepted.

교통사고 관련 제보는 비정형 데이터로서 교통사고를 유발한 가해자나 피해자의 관점이 아닌, 교통사고 발생 지점과 구간, 시간대에 있었던 타 운전자의 관점에서 생성된 교통정보의 가치를 가지고 있다. 그러나, 비정형 데이터인 교통제보가 빅 데이터로서 교통사고 통계나 교통관련 연구에 활용되지 못하였으나, 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용한 본 연구를 통해 비정형의 빅 데이터를 시각화하고 해석하여, 기존의 정형 데이터에서 분석하지 못한 정보를 도출할 수 있었다. 그리고 교통사고 발생으로 인한 도로상 영향을 파악할 수 있었다. 이러한 분석으로 교통제보의 트랜드를 파악하고, 운전자가 제보하는 "도로명", "지점명", "시간대"를 추출하였으며, 교통사고 발생으로 다른 운전자에게 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 지점과 구간의 파악이 가능하였다. 향후 실제 교통사고 데이터와 결합하여 교통제보와의 상관성 분석 등을 통해 비정형 데이터의 활용방안을 모색할 계획이다.

The actual safety problems experienced today in the small manufacturing were also examined by interview method with safety engineers. We propose the safety management programs based on the accident characteristics and the actual safety problems. These results can be used to develop more effective occupational safety and health management policies in the small manufacturing industry.

The basic concept of analysis of human error that induced railway accident is that errors are consequences, not causes. But in most cases, it is likely that direct causes of the accident could be concluded as real causes, which make it difficult to find out root causes. Design, training, staffing, culture and condition are general category applied to investigate human error. In order to examine how those approach could help accident analysis, this paper studied accident investigation reports of UK RAIB(Rail Accident Investigation Branch). Rather than consider specific investigation method, we focus investigation result on how to describe causal factors and how to indicate recommendations to prevent similar accident. The reports show that they try to find out causes more in organizational, environmental and job factors, which implies the necessity to improve investigation process of human error accident in Korea.
