  • Ubiquitous web services have been expanding in various business areas with the evolution of wireless Internet technologies, accessible and usable with a variety of mobile Internet devices such as smart phones. Ubiquitous mobile-web information services can be evaluated for accessibility and usability with the mobile Internet devices interacting with mobile-web information servers. In human mobile-web activity, a web server could be a unified center for mobile-web interaction services as well as for real-time estimation and analysis of mobile-web interaction sessions. We present a real-time estimation and analysis scheme for time-based accessibility and usability in ubiquitous mobile-web services. With real-time estimation/analysis of sessions in a mobile-web server, we estimated the time-based accessibility and usability for comparison between different web services as well as for applications in mobile cloud computing services. We present empirical results based on the implementation of the real-time estimation/analysis scheme.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the changes in inter-regional accessibility according to the highway construction. Accessibility of the physical distance(APD), accessibility of the time distance(ATD) and accessibility of the weighted physical distance(AWPD), accessibility of the weighted time distance(AWTD) are used as accessibility index. The result shows that APD, ATD, AWPD and AWTD are improved in the Chechon, Sangju, Chomchon region by the construction of Chongju-Sangju Highway and Taegu-Chunchon Highway. Taechon, Sosan, Kunsan region also improved by the construction of Sohaean Highway and Konju-Sohaean Highway.

  • Public library accessibility directly affects library usage, and the disproportionate distribution of accessibility is a decisive factor limiting the equitable provision of library services. In this regard, this study analyzed the spatial accessibility of public libraries in Busan and identified the factors affecting accessibility of public libraries using spatial regression analysis. As a results of the analysis, the accessibility of public libraries in the Busan showed large deviations by region. Also, spatial distribution of public libraries had no correlation with the settled population and use of public transportation, and location of public libraries was inefficient, in terms of social equity. The results of this study will assist to understand the spatial accessibility of public libraries in Busan, to identify factors that affect the accessibility. Moreover, this study is expected to be utilized as fundamental data for releasing disparities of the spatial accessibility and selecting new location of public library in Busan.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a transit accessibility analysis method based on temporal variability of travel time. In this study, transit accessibility was defined in three levels (in transit route, spot and region unit) to present findings from different spatial scopes. Recently, Jeju special self-governing province reorganized bus system of the island. To compare transit accessibility before and after transit policy implementation, the reorganized bus system of Jeju special self-governing province was selected as a case study. This study used General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) data format as storage public transit information, and calculated travel time using ArcGIS GTFS networks analysis tools. In the analysis of individual transit route level, we found the 3 types of accessibility changes which is increments, no significant changes and reductions and these results come from transit route change (number of transfer, distance change) rather than changes of vehicle interval. We found increases of inflow and outflow speed in most target spots and overall transit accessibility has been substantially improved in Jeju island. This study implies that accounting for temporal variability of travel time in accessibility analysis can result in more useful and sophisticated accessibility information in decision-making processes.

  • Proportion and importance of knowledge & information provision through the web are increased continuously. Equivalent accessibility focused on universal service is highly demanded especially for public institutions, such as national libraries. In this study, web accessibility of sixteen national libraries were compared and analyzed by KADO-WAH, web accessibility tool. Characteristics of libraries were investigated and future directions were suggested based on the analysis and results.

  • The purpose of study is to analyze the spatial population distribution and accessibility of network in urban areas. This study examines the forty-six political subdivision cities in Korea at the end of 1983, except the four metrpolitans (Seoul, Pusan, Daeku and Incheon). Evaluation indexes are classified the spatial pupulation distribution and accessibility of network. To analyze the cities, 10 indexes and the statistical techniques such as descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis were used. According to the results of cluster analysis, 15 cities (Ulsasn, Suwon, Bucheon, Chungju and etc.) are classified dispersed cities and another 15 cities (Kwangju, Daejun, Sungnam, Mokpo and etc.) are classified concentrated cities.

  • Accessibility of urban green space, as an important index of evaluating the service level of urban green space, not only shows the resident's access to green space, but also reflects the environment quality of urban living. Since the quantity, area and space distribution of the patches in urban green space directly affect the function of urban green space and the quality of urban environment, the research on the accessibility of urban green space holds great significance to improve the service of urban green space and the living environment quality. Based on GIS software, this research uses the road network and the population distribution data of Nanjing's city proper to conduct quantitative analysis of the accessibility of park green space and the convenience for residents to travel under different forms of transportation. After the case analysis, the author tests the application of road network in studying the accessibility of urban park green space and proposes a GIS-based method to study the accessibility and the rational layout of urban green space.

  • Web-accessibility evaluation tools can be used to determine whether or not a website meets accessibility guidelines. As such, many such tools have been developed for web accessibility, but most of them dynamically fetch and analyze pages and as a result, some pages maybe omitted due to the lack of access authorization or environment information. In this paper, we propose a static method that analyzes web accessibility via abstract parsing. Our abstract parsing technique understands syntactic and semantic program structures that dynamically generate web pages according to external inputs and parameters. The static method performs its analysis without omitting any pages because it covers all execution paths. We performed an experiment with a PHP-based website to demonstrate how our tool discovers more accessibility errors than a dynamic page accessibility analysis tool.

  • Purposes: This study aims to analyze the location patterns, concentration, and accessibility of clinics in Seoul with the grids of a geographic information system(GIS) and provide useful indicators for research on hospital and clinic management and policies based on the results. The study especially sets out to identify areas falling behind in the service of the essential medical care departments based on an analysis with 250m×250m grids and contribute to efficient medical business management and public healthcare policies based on the results. Methodology: The study analyzed clinics in Seoul in terms of concentration, distribution and clustering patterns, accessibility, and hot spots by dividing the entire city into 500m×500m cells and generating grids. The accessibility analysis for the essential medical care departments was especially in detail based on grids in a 250m×250m cell size. Findings: The Herfindahl results show that plastic surgery and rehabilitation medicine recorded the highest concentration level. General medicine and dermatology recorded the highest Moran's I value, and internal medicine was the highest in hot spots. Obstetrics and gynecology capable of child delivery showed considerably lower accessibility in the grids corresponding to Gangseo-gu, Yangcheon-gu, and Gwanak-gu. Surgery had low accessibility in the grids corresponding to the northern parts of Gangseo-gu for the total population. Practical Implication: Unlike previous studies whose analyses covered wide areas, the present study examined minute spatial patterns, concentration, and accessibility based on an analysis with 500m×500m or 250m×250m grids. Based on its findings, the study expects a more minute analysis for future research on medical business management and policies.

  • In this paper, the web accessibility of institutions and organizations that are related to disaster response we evaluate analysis. Along with the legal enforcement of Web accessibility, It is because shall comply with web accessibility. we have applied the K-WAH4.4 as an evaluation tool for web accessibility compliance of actual conditions. Look at the degree of compliance with the six detailed procedure of the web site, we request to the improvement of Web accessibility. Based on the guidelines 2.0, looked to the insufficient compliance rate at 61.8%. Then, we propose the need for improvement to enhance Web accessibility.
