This study conducts empirical tests on the effects of system characteristics and consumer characteristics on the acceptance of mobile commerce based on extended Technology Acceptance Model. The result from the survey of smartphone users in Seoul and Gyunggi shows that perceived usefulness, ease of use, benefits, and quality of information are positively associated with the acceptance of mobile commerce, and perceived risk is negatively associated with the acceptance of mobile commerce. Furthermore, there exists a difference in the effect of system characteristics on the acceptance of mobile commerce based on divided personal characteristics groups. The study contributes to the industries in that firms can create new applications and build strategies based on the results. Furthermore, the results can be used to find factors that determine the acceptance and use of newly introduced technology base products.

This paper introduces the acceptance criteria for reinforced concrete moment frames based on structural testing of ACI in preparing and proposes criteria for acceptable limiting drift and energy dissipation ratios of reinforced concrete shear walls for structural testing. Limiting drift and energy dissipation ratios were examined for tests on shear walls having ductile type failures. Test data were analyzed and compared to results for a suggested acceptance criteria that involves a limiting drift that is a function of aspect ratio a limiting energy dissipation ratio that is a function of displacement ductility and damping.

In this paper, we attempt to investigate the factors influencing usage and acceptance of ubiquitous services in Campus, based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). This study conceptualizes and develops three dimensions of u-Services (real time seπice, information security, customization seπice) and tests the relationships between three dimensions of u-Services and TAM. Data were collected from 162 respondents in K-University. And relationships proposed in the framework were tested using multiple regression analysis.

Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has been widely used for predicting behavioral processes in which information technologies were accepted, but several previous studies point out that TAM may not explain the adoption process of complex information technologies effectively. This study empirically tests the limitation of TAM, and suggests a proposed research model by incorporating the concept of the perceived behavioral control into TAM. Study findings indicate the proposed model can predict the adoption process better than TAM does.

In the fields of reliability application, the most commonly used test methods for reliability demonstration are zero-failure acceptance tests since they require fewer test samples and less test time compared to other test methods that guarantee the same reliability with a given confidence level. For products with lognormal lifetime distribution, the value of scale parameter is usually assumed to be known in designing reliability demonstration tests. It is important to select correct values of scale parameters to guarantee the specified reliability with given confidence level exactly. The effect of using wrong values of scale parameters in designing reliability demonstration test for products with lognormal lifetime distribution is examined and selecting proper values of scale parameters for conservative reliability demonstration is discussed.

Based on the 10 week filial therapy model developed by Landreth (1991) for parents in lower income families, this study used the pre- and post- test model applied to an experimental group of 9 individuals. The program was implemented in three hour sessions, once a week for eight weeks. T-tests were performed following the therapeutic program. Results were that all four subcategories of parent's acceptance capability (respect for children's emotion and emotional expression management, understanding of children's unique temperament, understanding of children's desire for autonomy, and unconditional love for children) showed statistically significant differences between the pre- and post- tests (p< .001). Differences between the pre- and post test on parents' stress approached significance.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the relationship between digital literacy and the acceptance of care robots, as well as the mediating role of technology self-efficacy in this relationship. The findings of this research aim to provide foundational data for enhancing older adults' acceptance of new technologies, underscore the significance of bolstering older adults' digital literacy in relation to the adoption of care robot technology, and offer evidence to support interventions aimed at improving technology self-efficacy. Design/methodology/approach This study seeks to investigate the mediating effect of technology self-efficacy on the relationship between digital literacy and acceptance of care robot technology among older adults. Kyunghee University's '2022 Korean Senior Technology Acceptance Panel Survey' was used, targeting 509 people aged 60 or older. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0 software. Independent samples t-tests were used to characterize key variables of interest and correlation analysis was used to evaluate their relationships. To verify the mediation effect, mediation regression analysis along with the Sobel test was used. Findings The study found that improving older adults' digital literacy positively impacts their acceptance of care robot technology through enhanced technology self-efficacy. Active education and experience with digital devices are highlighted as crucial for enhancing older adults' sense of accomplishment and, consequently, their technology self-efficacy. The findings underscore the importance of programs and educational initiatives focused on enhancing digital literacy among older adults to boost technology self-efficacy and increase acceptance of care robot technology within this population.

KSLV(Korea Space Launch Vehicle)-I is designed as a launch vehicle to enter a 100 kg-class satellite to the LEO(Low-Earth Orbit). Attitude angles of the upper-stage, including roll, pitch and yaw are controlled by cold gas thruster system using nitrogen gas. The thruster for the KSLV-I is the main pneumatic valve in the RCS(Reaction Control System). In this paper, the design, function tests, and environment tests of the thruster for KSLV-I are described. The developed thrusters are experimentally evaluated and successfully passed the required qualification and acceptance tests.

The relationship between the performance measures and the acceptance of evaluation has been of importance not only in the academic field but in the business area. However, there had not been many studies on the factors which affect the goal core, that is, specificity and difficulty. The previous literature on the evaluation of measures has limitations in that the common and unique measures without suggesting the concept of shared measures are used. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the environmental characteristics of the goal setting on the result and acceptance of the evaluation, which is mediated by the characteristics of the goal core. This study further tests if there are any moderating effects from using the shared measures of performance.
