Purpose : This research is aimed at developing a substantive theory related to the experience of adjustmented hemodialysis patients by identifying and analyzing the nature, process, and types of adjustment experienced by them. For this purpose, this study takes a grounded theory approach. Method : Data were collected from April, 2002 through September, 2002 through in-depth interviews and close observations of eleven hemodialysis patients who have experienced adjustment. With their consent, the interviews were recorded by audio tapes and later transcribed. Observation memos were also prepared on the subjects' behavior during the interviews. Data collection continued until saturated. The data were analyzed into concepts, subcategories, and categories with the open coding process. The axial coding was done to identify the relationships of the concepts and categories. And the selective coding was done to develop a core category, which is the central phenomenon of the hemodialysis patients who experienced adjustment. Result : This process resulted in 88 concepts, which may be grouped into 24 subcategories and 6 core categories. The 6 categories, in fact, depict the process of changes the patients experience from the sense of crisis, self-control, new life meaning, support system, coping ability, and quality of life improvement. And its core is self-control, which encompasses the dynamic stages from recognition, change attempts, belief solidification, and empowerment. Conclusion : The results of the research offer the following implications. First, research on adjustment is a formative stage in nursing, it is imperative for nursing researchers to develop them, which may be more relevant to nursing. Second, it is important to develop nursing intervention techniques that may be most effective in adjustment of hemodialysis patients and at the same time for each stage of changes taking place in adjustmented hemodialysis patients.
The objective of this study was to apply a dementia prevention program to the subjects who were suspected of dementia and test its effect. This study was one group pretest-posttest design. The dementia prevention program was applied for 20 weeks to the 19 subjects who were suspected of dementia after a screen test among 638 subjects enrolled in 10 senior citizen's centers in G city. The scores of self-efficacy, cognition, quality of life were measured before and after the program. The data collected were analyzed using a SPSS (statistical analysis system) program, and frequencies, averages and standard deviations were obtained. The differences of the scores of the pretest and posttest were analyzed with Mann-Whitney test and sign test. The results were as follows: 1. After the program, the average score of self-efficacy was increased from 75.31 (standard deviation 11.99) to 84.26 (standard deviation 13.92). 2. There are no differences between the average scores of physical and psychological quality of life, however, the average score of social quality of life was slightly increased from 2.25 (standard deviation 0.40) to 2.53 (standard deviation 0.43), and the overall score of social quality of life was low. 3. The average score of cognition was significantly increased from 21.00 (standard deviation 2.60) to 24.58 (standard deviation 3.37), thus, it was found that the program was effective to improve the cognition level. 4. The score differences of self-efficacy, quality of life, cognition between the pretest and posttest were statistically significant. 5. The score differences of quality of life between the pretest and posttest were found to be dependent on marital status, exercise and regular checkup yes or no. In conclusion, the program was effective to prevent the subjects suspected of dementia from dementia.

Purpose: This study was to identify the effects of a nurse-led education program using computerized animation video for post-operative colon cancer patients. Methods: a total of 163 patients and 51 nurses were participated in this study. With a non-equivalent control group post-test design, patients were divided into three groups (77 got traditional education, 46 were applying brochure, 40 were watching video). Twelve-item animation video and brochure about the management after discharge for post-operative colon cancer patients were developed based on patient survey and the items of Korea Healthcare Accreditation. Results: The computerized video watching group had better satisfaction than the others, but there was no significant difference about comprehension. When video was applied, satisfaction, usefulness, application, and perceived patients' comprehension of nurses were all increased. Conclusion: This video education program was developed by nurses and it had a special thing for patient to access the same program even after discharge using the authorization system. It would be helpful for nurses to be more concentrated on the direct care for hospitalized patients as well as for patients to provide self-care at home. This program would be adjusted into more various diseases and settings.

The quality of a veterinary service depends on the veterinarian's physical and mental health. However, a veterinarian's mental health is generally considered to be more vulnerable than that of other health care professionals. As many veterinary students will enter the veterinary profession in near future, it is necessary to investigate their psychological status. This study examined stressors affecting student life in one veterinary school. Anxiety, depression, and stress levels were assessed using questionnaires and qualitative research techniques. The results obtained from questionnaires showed that the proportion of veterinary students with psychological distress was higher than expected. The major stressors experienced by the veterinary students were academic, economic, and environmental. Qualitative study using a photovoice method revealed that the students in this study felt relatively deprived compared with those in other veterinary schools. In addition, they were distressed by the school environment and limited human relationship. Our results suggest that veterinary school administrators should be aware of students' psychological distress and should undertake systematic improvement in their educational system by altering counseling programs, curricula, and school culture principles.
The main objectives of this research are to compile all the researches published in the registered academic journals to study the trends of researches and analyze the relationships between research contents and the social factors so that the accomplishments of community related researches and future tasks can be identified. For this purpose, 97 papers published between 1973 and July 2011 were chronologically organized and analyzed in terms of research methods, main contents, and their relationship with social factors. The key findings are as follows; 1) Researches on multi-family-housing community started in 1973 mainly focusing on the social factors of neighbors in a complex; since 2000, however, the researches on physical factors were increased the most followed by psychological and social factors accordingly. 2) The research findings were not fully developed to give a guidance for appropriate space programs or an analysis of residents' preference on facilities. The cause of this shortfall is due to the fact that there was a lack of studies on residents' usage of community facilities based on quantified database. 3) More comprehensive researches should be conducted in the future for vitalizations of community through facility supply system and design guidelines, development and operation of community programs and measures to enhance community awareness targeted on public housing and more diverse types of housing being apart from typical multi-family-houisng provide by private sector.

The international community reached an implicit consensus that knowledge management will be the core of our civilization in the next millenium. This dissertation is to view the knowledge management from the point of information science rather than from the standpoint of the business management, which has been the trends of our academic circle so far. The underlying reason is simple, knowledge is the center of the knowledge management and other factors like humans, organization and culture are merely peripheral elements required to apply knowledge in a more appropriate and efficient manner. This paper looks at knowledge-sharing system as the heart of knowledge management emphasizing significance of the procedures such as validation and valuation and knowledge management processes. Adding to this, I dare to say the term 'Information technology Infrastructure' should be changed into'Information Infrastructure' since knowledge itself and how to express them play a more important role in knowledge management than the information technology does.

This study is to suggest ways to supplement terms and notes in the field of parapsychology and occultism in the KDC 6th edition. In order to this study, the comparative analysis of KDC and DDC analyzed the classification system and change process of classification items, classified data in parapsychology and occultism. Based on this, the analysis academic characteristics and problems of parapsychology and occultism field were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the lack of notes and inadequacy of terms caused confusion in classification, to solve this problem, this study suggests the solution of adding notes of sub-items, changing term of 187.2, 187.3, 187.4, 187.5.
The purpose of this study was to assess current food-handling practices of employees in school food service settings, as well as their knowledge levels, and identify relationships between knowledge, practices, and influencing variables. The survey was conducted for dietitians and employees in the school foodservice industry in Gyeongsangbuk-do province. A total of 270 and 570 questionnaires for dietitians and employees, respectively, were distributed by mail. Response rates were $62\%$ (N=171) and $66\%$ (N=376) from dietitians and employees, respectively. Data was analyzed using SPSS Windows (version 10.0). Descriptive statistics were used to summarize data. Pearson correlations were applied to test for relationships between knowledge and practice of HACCP principles. Stepwise regression analysis was performed to examine the influence of knowledge, current education guidelines, demographic information (working experience, academic background, and certification for food and cooking), and school characteristics (food production system, service style, and number of meals). School foodservice employees were found to have a significant amount of food safety knowledge ($67.5\pm1.8$ out of 100 possible points). Proper food handling practices were not always being followed in many schools. The relationship between their knowledge, current HACCP education training, and food handling practices was not significant. These results suggested the present situation of HACCP trainings performed by dietitians were inadequate for many school foodservice operations. The number of meals in school was an independent predictor of the employees' food-handling practices. These results suggest that an effective education program should integrate endeavors that take account of social and environmental influences on food safety to support the improvement of food-handling practices and the implementation of a HACCP program. Furthermore, dietitians should continue to provide consulting, training, and technical assistance to schools on HACCP implementation.

Advanced construction technologies have been rarely applied to practical construction operations on jobsites due to a lack of quantified evaluation data of the performance of such technologies. The basic objective of this study is to suggest a feasible way for the evaluation of the performance of new technologies based on construction simulation techniques, which have been frequently used in academic research for productivity estimation. Steel staircase systems were selected as the new technology to be investigated. The simulation was implemented in various ways, such as one staircase to six staircases on a floor. The simulation results provided in this study suggest that planners are able to make a fundamental decision on the use of targeted new technology with the estimated performance data (productivity and unit costs). These findings also indicate that a simulation technique could be one of the methods appropriate for use as a planner's decision-making tool.

In Domestic, the beginning of CM system was at December 1996 by 'Construction Industry fundamental law'. Today the needs of CM is more and more during 10 years. Although the time of CM's induction and high-quality human resources are insufficiency, various studies and developments's level through theoritical base and academic level is good which are compared by developed countries's. But still now the effort of CM product measure part, especially public sector is not enough. Besides, the existing check-list is for project owner so it needs to make up for balanced view as organized 4way-view of owner, CMr, designer, constructor. On this study, produce the list of check-list and then weight of each list by view of owner, CMr, designer, constructor. The completec check-list will be useful for CM product measure objectively .
