학업적 자아개념 및 교사와 부모의 학업적 지원이 수학 학업성취도에 미치는 직·간접적인 영향력에 대한 종단적 분석 (Longitudinal analysis of the direct and indirect influence of academic self-concept and academic support of teachers and parents on academic achievement in mathematics)

  • 본 연구는 한국교육종단연구2013의 초등학교 6학년부터 중학교 3학년까지의 학생 데이터들을 활용하여 수학 학업성취도의 종단적인 변화양상에 따른 학업적 자아개념 및 교사와 부모의 학업적 지원이 수학 학업성취도에 미치는 직·간접적인 영향력을 종단적으로 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 그룹별 학업적 자아개념은 수학 학업성취도에 긍정적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 교사와 부모의 학업적 지원은 학업적 자아개념을 매개로 하여 수학 학업성취도에 긍정적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 학업적 자아개념과 수학 수직척도점수에 미치는 직·간접적인 영향력은 부모의 학업적 지원 보다 교사의 학업적 지원이 더 많은 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 점에 따른 교육적인 함의점을 논의하였다.

일부 치위생과 학생의 학습성격유형과 학업성취도의 관계 (The relationship between learning personality types and the academic achievement levels of dental hygiene students)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between academic personality types and academic achievement in an effort to seek teaching and learning strategies geared toward improving the academic achievement of students. The subjects in this study were 400 dental hygiene students who were randomly selected from three-year colleges in Gyeonggi Province. Their academic personality types and academic achievement were investigated, and the findings of the study were as follows: 1. As for the academic personality types of the subjects, the inquiry-oriented type was most dominant, and the ideal-oriented one was least common. 2. In regard to differences in academic personality types according to academic year, the inquiry-oriented type was most common in every academic year, and there were statistically significant differences(p<.05). 3. As to differences in academic personality types according to academic achievement, the best academic achievement was found in the norm-oriented type, and there were statistically significant differences(p<.05). 4. Concerning differences among the subjects in academic satisfaction according to academic personality types, there were no statistically significant differences(p>.05). When the above-mentioned findings of the study were pieced together, the academic achievement of the subjects varied with their academic personality types, and it's consequently necessary to make an effort to apply different teaching methods and learning methods according to their preferences. As there are individual variances among students in achievement goal, preferred learning method and experience though they study in the same space with different learning methods, the development of student guidance programs tailored to academic personality types seems necessary.

대학생의 학업적 자기효능감, 그릿, 학습된 무기력이 학업지연행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of academic self-efficacy, grit, learned helplessness on academic delay behavior in college students)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to identify how academic self-efficacy, grit, and learned helplessness influence Academic delay behavior in college students and provide a foundation for reducing Academic delay behavior in college students. Methods: Data was collected from October 12, 2023 to October 30, 2023 using a structured questionnaire from 170 college students at a university in City D. The data was collected using a structured questionnaire. Results: Academic delay behaviors were significantly negatively correlated with academic self-efficacy (r=-.371, p<.001) and grit (r=-.562, p=.012), and significantly positively correlated with learned helplessness (r=.341, p<.001). Conclusion: Finally, In order to reduce academic delay behaviors among college students, it is necessary to actively utilize educational environments that promote academic achievement and grit, academic-related counseling programs, and learning environments that do not suffer from academic helplessness.

중학생의 학업적 꾸물거림과 학업성취도에 관한 실증적 인과관계 분석 (An Analysis of Middle School Students' Academic procrastination on Their Academic Achievement)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 학업적 꾸물거림이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력을 밝히고자 하였다. 또한 중학생이 인지하는 스트레스 정도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력이 있는지를 분석하였다. 먼저 이론적 고찰과 선행연구를 검토하여 중학생의 학업적 꾸물거림의 하위요인인 행동적 요인, 인지적 요인, 정서적 요인이 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정하였다. 또한 중학생의 스트레스가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력이 있는 것으로 가정하였다. 연구결과 중학생의 학업적 꾸물거림의 하위요인인 행동적 요인, 인지적 요인, 정서적 요인이 스트레스와 학업성취도에 부분적으로 직접적인 영향력이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 중학생의 스트레스는 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 규명된 연구결과를 바탕으로 중학생의 학업성취도에 대한 정책적 시사점을 대안으로 제시하였다.

Future Development Strategies for East Asian Journal of Business Economics

  • Purpose: EAJBE is actively responding to changes in academic paradigms at domestic and abroad and is carrying out measures to maximize synergy effects between academic fields with the goal of being at the world level. This study aims to present a developmental strategy for EAJBE to grow into an academic journal with international public trust and prepare for future changes. Research design, data and methodology: This paper identifies the current status from the first issue of EAJBE to the present, and analyzes the overall development strategy and direction. Results: EAJBE continues to strengthen long-term investment for internationalization and activities to attract members of excellent scholars. Specifically, first of all, EAJBE aims to operate responsible academic journals, such as guaranteeing the long term of the president of the academic society, the chairman of the editorial board, and the editor-in-chief. EAJBE also focuses on expanding investment for internationalization from a long-term perspective. Finally, EAJBE actively strives for academic exchanges between scholars abroad and at home. Conclusions: EAJBE was indexed in the KCI of the Korea Research Foundation and currently operates a rigorous academic journal to be indexed in the SCOPUS. Already, EAJBE is doing its best to become a successful model for Korean academic journals. EAJBE's path forward will be the first one that no academic society has ever reached as the world's top academic journal.

Academic Capitalism과 연구효율화를 위한 대학시스템 개편방향 (Academic Capitalism and the Direction of Academic System Innovation for R&D Efficiency)

  • Academic Capitalism is one of main steams that university has made. Academic Capitalism means that the resource allocation in the university is made by market forces. Persons who advocate the traditional Ivory Tower will resist the market mechanism in university's resource allocation. But, in several aspect, market mechanism has been in action in the university, whether we recognized it or not. In this paper, five directions of Academic System Innovation were suggested. First, competition among universities should be enforced through decentralization and autonomy. Second, competition among researchers shoul be enforced. Third, government should enlarge the portion of 'use-inspired basic research'. Fourth, autonomy of research units in a university should be enlarged for university's competitiveness. Five, government should provide the environment for structural coupling between university and regional society.

Operation Situation of Academic Credit Bank System for Academic Degree of Cosmetology & Academic Research Trends

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation situation & academic research trends in Seoul and Gyeonggi area, based on theoretical consideration on academic credit bank system, focusing on academic credit bank system where a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university produces graduates with associate's degree. To find out about how academic credit bank institutes are operated in cosmetology field, the analysis of literature review was used, in reference to the literatures as well as administrative data from the Ministry of Education and institutes for lifelong education with respect to academic credit bank system. Further, dissertations and articles in journals were also reviewed for analysis, in order to see academic research trends with respect to academic credit bank system in cosmetology, and finally to provide the directions for a follow-up study in the future. It was found that about 120 junior colleges have cosmetology departments, while only about 20 4-year universities have them, where lifelong education systems such as lifelong education are essential for learners to have bachelor's degree to go to a graduate school in reality. Every year more people want to learn and acquire the degree through a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university. In this regard, it is thought that there should be first positive social awareness towards a degree recipient from such educations and more administrative promotion and active engagement of government, businesses and schools, in order to vitalize academic credit bank system. Meanwhile, there are only about 10 academic literatures including the dissertations on the operation of academic credit bank system with respect to cosmetology, which is not sufficient number in academic research, compared to the increasing number of people who want to acquire the degree. Most of the preceding studies have been limited to education services and learners' satisfaction level. Therefore, continuous follow-up study is required on how to improve social awareness as well as teachers and instructors' satisfaction level, as well as how to develop industry-customized curriculum, in order to ensure active academic credit bank system.

  • The survey was performed on 201 cases of mothers who visited pediatric hospitals and public health clinics in Pusan and Kyeong-nam provinces from Dec. 10 to Dec. 30 of 1993. If this study, each infant weighed over 2500gm and between 2 months and 12 months old. The research was statistically analyzed according to the percentage, Pearson correlation, $x^2$-test. The result of this study were as follows ; 1. Feeding method related to the job of mother (p<0.01). 2. Feeding method related to the way of bringing up child(p<0.05). 3. Whether the mother and child shared the same room effected the feeding method (p<0.01). 4. The shape of nipple before breast feeding related to feeding method. 5. The reason for stopping breast feeding related to feeding method(p<0.01). 6. First breast feeding related to period of seperation after delivery(p<0.05). 7. Plan of breast feeding related to birth weight (p<0.05).
