파워기반 소음감소 기법을 이용한 준중형 해치백 후석 고주파성 로드노이즈 전달특성 연구 (A study on the characteristics of high frequency road noise transmission at the rear seat of a hatch back compact car using PBNR (Power Based Noise Reduction) method)

  • 세단 타입에 비해 해치백 타입의 차량은 실링구조 확보에 어려움이 있기 때문에 후석에서 느껴지는 차폐성능이 열세한 것으로 알려져 있다. 차량의 차폐감 확보를 위해 강건한 실링 시스템과 충분한 흡음/차음 성능이 요구되지만 준중형 이하 세그먼트에서는 원가, 중량의 제약으로 인해 충분한 흡차음 사양 적용에 제한을 받고있어 효율적인 흡차음 사양의 적용이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 정량적인 측정과 비교, 분석이 가능한 파워기반 소음감소(Power Based Noise Reduction, PBNR) 기반의 차음 윈도우 평가를 통해 준중형 해치백 차량의 후석 소음원의 전달 경로를 분석하고 후석 차폐성능 확보를 위한 흡차음 대안을 제시하였다.

화학적 환원법으로 제조된 은나노유체를 사용한 직접흡수식 태양열 집열기의 효율 (Efficiency of a Direct Absorption Solar Collector using Ag Nanofluids Synthesized by Chemical Reduction Method)

  • In this paper, the water-based Ag nanofluids are synthesized by the chemical reduction method and their extinction coefficients are measured by an in-house developed measurement device. The Ag nanofluids are manufactured by the chemical reduction method with the mixing of silver nitrate ($AgNO_3$) and sodium borohydride ($NaBH_4$) in an aqueous solution of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP). The extinction coefficients of Ag nanofluids are measured by means of the in-house developed apparatus at a wavelength of 632.8nm according to the particle volume fractions. The results show that the extinction coefficient of water-based Ag nanofluids increases with the increase of nanoparticle concentrations. Finally, the temperature field and efficiency of direct absorption solar collector (DASC) are analytically estimated based on the measured extinction coefficient of water-based Ag nanofluids. The results indicate that the direct absorption solar collectors using nanofluids have the feasibility to improve the efficiency of conventional flat-plate solar collectors without using an absorber plate.

흡음 외장재 부착에 따른 교량 주변 음향 특성 해석 (Analysis on the Acoustical Characteristics for Arrounding of Bridge by Absortion Panel Attatchment)

  • For the purpose of finding out the acoustical characteristics of exterior materials in bridge, analytical studies are performed with boundary elements method by using the commercial program SYSNOISE. Before analysis, to figure out material property, it was conducted experiments of absorption coefficient for absorptive material. And prediction of pressure were conducted I GIRDER type (before & after installation of absorption panel ) and BOX GIRDER type (before & after installation of absorption panel) The results show that when the absorption panel is installed, environment around bridge can help reduce traffic noise. It was proved to be the effective noise reduction counter-plan for a traffic noise in the bridges.

Peanut Shells as an Environmentally Beneficial Sound-Absorbing Material

  • This study investigated the prospect of using peanut shells as an alternative and green sound-absorbing material. The sound-absorption coefficients were determined after filling impedance tubes of 30, 60, and 90 mm in height with peanut shells. The sound-absorption ability increased as the filling height increased, showing noise reduction coefficient (NRCs) of 0.23, 0.43, and 0.54 for the 30-, 60-, and 90-mm heights, respectively. In addition, for sounds greater than 2,000 Hz, the average sound-absorption coefficient of peanut shells in the 60- and 90-mm heights was 0.9. In summary, peanut shells were found to have good sound-absorption properties comparable to or better than those of bamboo, sisal, jute, and wool, and this research suggests that peanut shells may be useful as an environmentally friendly sound-absorbing material.

Investigation of Sound Absorption Ability of Hinoki Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa) Cubes

  • Today, commercialized Hinoki cypress cubes are used for fragrance, humidification, and pillows in Korea. In this study, the sound absorption ability of Hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa) cubes was examined. The three groups of Hinoki cypress cubes were prepared depending on their dimension (L: 9 × 9 × 9, M: 7 × 7 × 7, S: 4 × 4 × 4 mm). Their sound absorption coefficient was examined after filling 6, 8, 10, and 12 cm height in impedance tubes, respectively. Overall, the sound absorption ability depending on dimension was superior in the M group compared to the L and S groups. Also, as the filling height increased, the sound absorption capacity increased. In sum, noise reduction coefficients (NRC) of all Hinoki cypress cubes were 0.41-0.59. Thus, this research found that Hinoki cypress cubes have a sound-absorbing function.

Sound Absorption of Natural Fiber Composite from Sugarcane Bagasse and Coffee Silver Skin

  • This study aimed to develop a sound-absorbing composite using sugarcane bagasse (SB) and coffee silver skin (CS) as raw materials. The composite boards were manufactured by bonding the fibers with Melamine Urea-Formaldehyde adhesive, ensuring a consistent thickness of 30 mm. Various densities were employed, namely 380, 450, and 520 kg/m3. The samples were fabricated with different fiber ratios, including SB100%, SB75% with CS25%, and SB50% with CS50%. The sound absorption coefficient (SAC) and noise reduction coefficient (NRC) were measured using the impedance tube method within a frequency range of 63-6,300 Hz. The experimental results revealed that the mixing ratio of CS exerted a notable influence on enhancing the SAC, while the density of the composite board exhibited a significant impact on increasing both the SAC and NRC. Among the densities tested, the optimal value was observed at 520 kg/m3, yielding a SAC value of 0.65 at a frequency of 1,000 Hz and an NRC value of 0.55 for the SB50-CS50 composite plate. These findings underscore the importance of considering the CS mixing ratio and composite board density when aiming to optimize sound absorption properties.

싸이클론 전해환원방법을 이용한 LiBr 용액내의 Cu 불순물 제거에 관한 연구 (Removal of Cu impurities in LiBr solution using cyclone electrowinning method)

  • The LiBr aqueous solution, which is the absorption liquid of absorption refrigerator, must be replaced periodically because the concentration of impurities such as Cu2+, Fe2+, Ca2+, etc., increases due to corrosion of the tubes as the period of use increases, and the refrigeration efficiency decreases significantly. In order to reuse the waste absorption liquid, flocculation-precipitation method is mainly applied to precipitate the impurities, which requires hundreds of times the concentration of impurities and generates additional waste. In this study, a process for removing Cu ion impurities from cyclone electrolyzer by electrolytic reduction is presented in a small-scale facility without additional waste. It was confirmed that Cu ion impurities can be removed down to 1 ppm by electrolytic reduction process, and to further improve the removal rate, the mass transfer rate was increased by using a cyclone electrolyzer. The removal rate of Cu ions increased with the increase of flow rate and current density, and it was confirmed that Cu was removed at a rate of 1.48 ppm/h under the condition of 330 mL/sec and 2.5 mA/cm2.

자기부상열차의 소음저감 (Cabin Noise Reduction of a Maglev Train)

  • Cabin noise reduction in maglev trains developed by KIMM is studied. Based on the measurements of cabin noise and acceleration levels during running and zero speed conditions, dominant noise sources are identified. After spectra characteristics of noise sources is investigated, efficient noise reducing methods are studied such as STL increasement of floor panels, sealing, and absorption treatment. It is found that the most important noise sources are VVVF inverter and SLIM in running condition. Since the noise sources are under the cabin floor, complete sealing and high STL of the floor panel are shown to be the most crucial factors in noise reduction. After polyurethan form (50t) is added for more sound absorption and sealing treatment, the cabin noise is reduced by 3-4 ㏈.

고강도 강판 적용에 의한 차체 프런트 사이드 멤버의 경량화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Weight Reduction of Front Side Member with Application of High Strength Steel)

  • This paper is concerned with the weight reduction of front side member of a vehicle considering the application of high strength steel sheet. The influence of steel sheet grade and thickness on the energy absorption, impact load and deformed shape of front side member is investigated by using reverse engineering and FE-analysis. The reverse engineering is applied to obtain 3D model of front side member from B.I.W for the FE simulation. FE analysis is carried out with commercial crash analysis SW PAM-CRASH. The crashworthiness of front side member is considerably improved with steel sheet strength and thickness increase. From the result of this study the weight reduction in automotive parts for the improvement of the fuel efficiency can be easily achieved with replacing high strength steel without deterioration of crashworthiness.

밀폐형 방음상자에 의한 산업용 송풍기 소음 저감 (The Noise Reduction of Industrial Blower due to Close Type Enclosure)

  • The noise levels and individual employee noise exposure levels within a factory will determine the need for hearing conservation program. The difficulty in not having an effective hearing conservation program is the risk of hearing loss that employees may sustain. In the last few years the claims for hearing loss compensation have grown due to class action litigation brought against the employer and companies that have equipment in the factory alleged to have caused hearing loss. The Blower in the factory generates the noise of 98.3dB(A) in the frequency range of 2,000Hz, which may cause occupational hearing loss. By designing close type enclosures which are made of absorption material, about 24.4dB(A) reduction has been in the factory. It is demonstrated that this kind of enclosures can be effectively used to reduce the noise in the factory.
