1. Objectives The purpose of this case study is to evaluate the effects of Yangkyuksanhwa-tang which is based on Sasang Constitutional Medicine for strabismus of abducence nerve paralysis. 2. Methods This patient was created by Soyangin's Constitutional Medications according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis. We evaluated the abduction deficit that described how to use Scott and kraft. 3. Results & Conclusions This case study shows an efficient result of using Yangkyuksanhwa-tang in treatment of Strabismus of abducence nerve paralysis.

Objectives: This study is to report a case of the paralytic strabismus with herbal medicine and acupuncture. Strabismus refers to the oculomotor muscles imbalance resulted from improper alignment of the visual axis of the two eyes. Our goal is to know the effectiveness and safety in children from oriental medicine. Methods: We treated the case by using herbal medicine, acupuncture, and etc. Results: We found that the case was recovered perfectly in short term(24days) without any side effects or complaints. Therefore, we try to apply this treatment in many children cases and to set as a guideline protocol to treat for children. Conclusions: The case showed proper oriental medical treatment is better choice for therapy than surgery or observation.

Objectives The purpose of this case is to report the effect of Korean Medicine, especially Electro-acupuncture on strabismus of traffic accident induced abducens nerve paralysis. Methods Patient received Korean Medicine treatment such as acupuncture, electro-acupuncture & Herb-medicine. Patienst was treated with the electro-acupuncture at Right eye paralytic lateral rectus muscle lesions. The case was enforced 10 minutes using the PG-306 electro-acupuncture and applyed the low consequence wave of 1-8Hz. The improvement of the strabismus was observed. Results During ten weeks of treatment, patient's strabismus and diplopia were improved. Conclusions In this case, Electro-acupuncture on strabismus and diplopia of traffic accident induced abducens nerve paralysis was effective. The effectivity is depended on the time stimulation is performed.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate recent clinical studies on effect of acupuncture for strabismus in Korea and other countries. We have analyzed 10 years (from 2006 to 2015) of case studies and randomized controlled trials (RCT) on effect of acupuncture for strabismus. Methods The search database includes Oasis, KTKP (Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal), Medline, Embase, and Cochrane library. To narrow the search, the following key search terms were used: 'strabismus, acupuncture'. The search was limited to the publication date from 2006 to 2015. 7 case studies and 5 control studies were selected for analysis. Results and Conclusions 1. The acupuncture treatment is effective for paralytic strabismus 2. The studies used BL1, GB1, ST2, TE23, GB15, EX-HN5, ST1, and LI4 acupoints and also an electroacupuncture treatment, which is 15 minutes of extraocular muscle stimulation, was used. 3. Degree of strasbismus was tested by Ocular motor range test, Corneal light reflex test, Ocular abducent scale test (Scott and Kraft, Diploptic range test).
