Design of Fuzzy Model-based Multi-objective Controller and Its Application to MAGLEV ATO system (퍼지 모델 기반 다목적 제어기의 설계와 자기부상열차 자동운전시스템에의 적용)

  • Many practical control problems for the complex, uncertain or large-scale plants, need to simultaneously achieve a number of objectives, which may conflict or compete with each other. If the conventional optimization methods are applied to solve these control problems, the solution process may be time-consuming and the resulting solution would ofter lose its original meaning of optimality. Nevertheless, the human operators usually performs satisfactory results based on their qualitative and heuristic knowledge. In this paper, we investigate the control strategies of the human operators, and propose a fuzzy model-based multi-objective satisfactory controller. We also apply it to the automatic train operation(ATO) system for the magnetically levitated vehicles(MAGLEV). One of the human operator's strategies is to predict the control result in order to find the meaningful solution. In this paper, Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is used to simulated the prediction procedure. Another str tegy is to evaluate the multiple objectives with respect to their own standards. To realize this strategy, we propose the concept of a satisfactory solution and a satisfactory control scheme. The MAGLEV train is a typical example of the uncertain, complex and large-scale plants. Moreover, the ATO system has to satisfy multiple objectives, such as seed pattern tracking, stop gap accuracy, safety and riding comfort. In this paper, the speed pattern tracking controller and the automatic stop controller of the ATO system is designed based on the proposed control scheme. The effectiveness of the ATO system based on the proposed scheme is shown by the experiments with a rotary test bed and a real MAGLEV train.

  • Smart열차진로제어시스템은 실시간 열차속도와 열차위치정보를 토대로 진로제어구간을 진입 또는 진출하는 해당 열차의 진로를 제어한다. 현재 운용중인 열차진로제어알고리즘은 궤도회로를 이용해서 검지한 열차점유정보를 사용하고 있으므로, 새로운 개념의 알고리즘개발이 필요하다. 이를 위해서 다양한 형식의 열차가 감속성능을 구현할 수 있는 전동기와 구동장치를 사용하는 모의장치의 개발을 완료하였다. 모의장치는 무선통신기반의 간선철도용 열차진로제어시스템개발을 목적으로 하고 있으나, 알고리즘개발의 효율성과 편리성을 갖추기 위해서 ATS(Automatic Train Supervision), ATC(Automatic Train Control) 및 ATO(Automatic Train Operation) 등의 기능을 구현할 수 있도록 모의장치를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 모의장치 구성, 모의장치의 하부장치별 기능 및 각 하부장치에 설치되어 있는 프로그램구성을 다루고 있다.

  • This paper describes the improvement of passenger's comfort by analyzing the debasement of early adapted ATO control pattern. First we give the characteristics of ATO controller, principle of running control, distance & velocity calculation methods used mainly in INCHEON subway UNE 1 and then analyze the ATO control pattern. For early control pattern, we reviewed it in view of passenger's comfort while keeping the track conditions. In order to achieve the improvement of passenger's comfort we propose the modification of early ATO control pattern based on JERX characteristics. Simulation and application test are performed to prove the effectiveness of modified ATO control pattern.

  • Urban transit vehicle that uses electrical energy, is faster, safer and energy-efficient public transit than other means. As a Research method, the Matlab/Simulink are used to modeling a regenerative brake-capable train, and actual parameters such as powering and braking characteristics, all kinds of resistance, passenger load, velocity, gradient, radius of curve etc and powering and breaking commands per time or distance are inputted to train's dynamic equation, then a simulation program is made and used to yield train driving pattern and driving time and the amount of driving energy used thereby at auto and manual operation and at all sector.

  • As a train control system becomes a large scale and complex, it is necessary to control rigorously the system requirements specification of the train control system at the early phase. This paper describes Use Cases and activity diagrams of ATS functions requirements in the train control system. Basic functions of the train control system refers to IEC 62290-land are suggested. And the basic functions includes train operation without a driver. It is anticipated that this paper will be helpful for the analysis of ATS functions, ATO functions and EI function in the train control system.

  • Railroad signalling systems are to control intervals and routes of trains. There are ATS(Automatic Train Stop), ATP(Automatic Train Protection), ATO(Automatic Train Operation) and ATC(Automatic Train Control) system. Trains are operated in the section which is met on the signalling system because various signalling systems are used in Korea. On the other words, trains are not operated in the section which is used in the other signalling system. To solve this problem, recently combined on-board system has been developed. The combined on-board system is designed by doubling the ATS, ATP and ATC system. Information signal is received by magnetic sensors in the ATC system and is received by antennas in the ATS and ATP system. Therefore, it is possible to arise transmission problems by magnetic coupling. In this paper, electric model of the ATS and ATP antenna is suggested and interference frequency by the magnetic coupling between the ATS and ATP antenna is estimated numerically. As a results of the magnetic coupling, the value of the magnetic coupling is presented without magnetic induction.

  • To operate Platform Screen Door (PSD) automatically, the operational data of PSD and the train must be interfaced properly. PSD and train are operated together by the signaling system in Automatic Train Operation (ATO) signaling system zone where interfaces are provided between PSD and train. However, the additional PSD interface system with train is required in train operating zone without the interface between PSD and train. For the PSD interface, the wireless communication system or the train status (train correct stop status / train door status) detection system has been used. Seoul Metro line No.2. has the PSD wireless communication system using 447MHz band RF. For the safety of PSD operation, it is required to prevent RF interference in the subway environment where many frequencies exist. In this paper, the PSD wireless communication system is developed using 2.4GHz band RF to prevent the interference of the wireless communication and increase the traffic of the PSD interface. Furthermore, the improved system can store, manage and display the PSD and train operational data using Human Machine Interface (HMI) in the train's driver cab.

  • Platform Screen Door System is a facility on platform to separate platform from track, having automatic sliding door structures interlocked to opening and closing of train door with integrated control unit. When a train comes to a stop at a designed position at a station, onboard ATC/ATO system transmits train berth signal to wayside signaling system. In case of automatic/driverless operation, opening and closing of the Platform Screen Door will be controlled by wayside signaling system. Unfortunately, we often see the case in news that passengers fall into track and their contact with train lead to critical accidents. However, passengers will be free from such accidents on the platform with the Platform Screen Door System. Especially during the rush hours, to ensure passenger's safety and smooth getting on & off, it is necessary to arrange. some station staffs on the platform without the Platform Screen Door System. On the other hand, the Platform Screen Door System will realize such operation by fewer staffs. Due to the above reasons, the Platform Screen Door System is becoming more popular in subway system recently.

  • The platform screen door(PSD) hasn't been installed yet within the manual operation system, that is, ATS & ATC Signal system. In other countries, it is mostly installed and operated within automatic operation system, that is, ATO. Especially, as a part of the environment friendly system installation, the installation of PSD shall be considered aggressively to improve the air quality in the underground area and to maintain the air-conditioning. Besides the number of suicides in the subway station gets increased these days causing safety hazard, so the installation of PSD is positively reviewed. To install PSD in the manual operation system, it is important to stop the train at the correct position. So we would like to suggest the technical system thereby.
