As the cyber-attacks through the networks advance, it is difficult for the intrusion detection system based on the simple rules to detect the novel type of attacks such as Advanced Persistent Threat(APT) attack. At present, many types of research have been focused on the application of machine learning techniques to the intrusion detection system in order to detect previously unknown attacks. In the case of using the machine learning techniques, the performance of the intrusion detection system largely depends on the feature set which is used as an input to the system. Generally, more features increase the accuracy of the intrusion detection system whereas they cause a problem when fast responses are required owing to their large elapsed time. In this paper, we present a network intrusion detection system based on artificial neural network, which adopts a multi-objective genetic algorithm to satisfy the both requirements: accuracy, and fast response. The comparison between the proposing approach and previously proposed other approaches is conducted against NSL_KDD data set for the evaluation of the performance of the proposing approach.

It has been spent too much time to figure out the incident route when we are facing computer security incident. The incident often recurs moreover the damage is expanded because critical clues are lost while we are wasting time with hesitation. This paper suggests to build a Digital Evidence Map (DEM) in order to find out the incident cause speedy and accurately. The DEM is consist of the log chain which is a mesh relationship between machine data. And the DEM should be managed constantly because the log chain is vulnerable to various external facts. It could help handle the incident quickly and cost-effectively by acquainting it before incident. Thus we can prevent recurrence of incident by removing the root cause of it. Since the DEM has adopted artifacts in data as well as log, we could make effective response to APT attack and Anti-Forensic.

As APT attacks become more frequent and sophisticated, not only the advancement of the security systems but also the competence of the cybersecurity officers of each institution that operates them is becoming increasingly important. In a large-scale cyber defence exercise with many blue teams participating and many systems to simulate and defend against, it should be possible to simulate attacks to generate various attack patterns, network payloads, and system events. However, if one RT framework is used, there is a limitation that it can be easily detected by the blue team. In the case of operating multiple RT frameworks, a lot of time and effort by experts for exercise setup and operation for each framework is required. In this paper, we propose iRF(integrated RT framework) that can automatically operate large-scale cyber defence exercise by integrating a number of open RT frameworks and RT frameworks created by ourselves.
Due to the prolonged infectious disease of COVID-19 worldwide, there are various security threats due to network attacks on Internet of Things devices that are vulnerable to telecommuting. Initially, users of Internet of Things devices were exploited for vulnerabilities in Remote Desktop Protocol, spear phishing and APT attacks. Since then, the technology of network attacks has gradually evolved, exploiting the simple service discovery protocol of Internet of Things devices, and DRDoS attacks have continued to increase. Existing SSDPs are accessible to unauthorized devices on the network, resulting in problems with information disclosure and amplification attacks on SSDP servers. To compensate for the problem with the authentication procedure of existing SSDPs, we propose a hash-based SSDP that encrypts server-specific information with hash and adds authentication fields to both Notify and M-Search message packets to determine whether an authorized IoT device is present.

Recently, circulating ransomware is becoming intelligent and sophisticated through a spreading new viruses and variants, targeted spreading using social engineering attack, malvertising that circulate a large quantity of ransomware by hacking advertising server, or RaaS(Ransomware-as-a- Service), from the existing attack way that encrypt the files and demand money. In particular, it makes it difficult to track down attackers by bypassing security solutions, disabling parameter checking via file encryption, and attacking target-based ransomware with APT(Advanced Persistent Threat) attacks. For remove the threat of ransomware, various detection techniques are developed, but, it is very hard to respond to new and varietal ransomware. Accordingly, in this paper, find out a making Signature-based Detection Patterns and problems, and present a pattern automation model of ransomware detecting for responding to ransomware more actively. This study is expected to be applicable to various forms in enterprise or public security control center.

With the enhancements in existing major industries, cloud computing-based converging services have been created, as well as value-added industries. A variety of converging services are now provided, from personalized services up to industrial services. In Korea, they have become the driving force behind existing industries throughout the whole economy, but mainly in finance, mobile systems, social computing, and home services, based on cloud services. However, not only denial of service (DOS) and distributed DOS (DDOS) attacks have occurred, but also attack techniques targeting core data in storage servers. Even security threats that are hardly detected, such as multiple attacks on a certain target, APT, and backdoor penetration have also occurred. To supplement defenses against these, in this article, a protocol for authority management is designed to provide users with safe storage services. This protocol was studied in cases of integration between a cloud environment and big data-based technology, security threats, and their requirements. Also studied were amalgamation examples and their requirements in technology-based cloud environments and big data. With the protocol suggested, based on this, security was analyzed for attack techniques that occur in the existing cloud environment, as well as big data-based techniques, in order to find improvements in session key development of approximately 55%.

Cybersecurity attack targeting a specific user is rising in number, even enterprises are trying to strengthen their cybersecurity. Network segmentation environment where public network and private network are separated could block information coming from the outside, however, it is unable to control outside information for business efficiency and productivity. Even if enterprises try to enhance security policies and introduce the network segmentation system and a solution incorporating CDR technology to remove unnecessary data contained in files, it is still exposed to security threats. Therefore, we suggest a system that uses file format conversion to transmit a secure file in the network separation environment. The secure file is converted into an image file from a document, as it reflects attack patterns of inserting malicious code into the document file. Additionally, this paper proposes a system in the environment which functions that a document file can keep information for incident response, considering forensic readiness.

In order to recognize intelligent threats quickly and detect and respond to them actively, major public bodies and private institutions operate and administer an Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), which plays a very important role in finding and detecting attacks. However, most IDS alerts have a problem that they generate false positives. In addition, in order to detect unknown malicious codes and recognize and respond to their threats in advance, APT response solutions or actions based systems are introduced and operated. These execute malicious codes directly using virtual technology and detect abnormal activities in virtual environments or unknown attacks with other methods. However, these, too, have weaknesses such as the avoidance of the virtual environments, the problem of performance about total inspection of traffic and errors in policy. Accordingly, for the effective detection of intrusion, it is very important to enhance security monitoring, consequentially. This study discusses a plan for the reduction of false positives as a plan for the enhancement of security monitoring. As a result of an experiment based on the empirical data of G, rules were drawn in three types and 11 kinds. As a result of a test following these rules, it was verified that the overall detection rate decreased by 30% to 50%, and the performance was improved by over 30%.

This study was conducted to determine the important factors in the illness behavior of panic disorder patients. And then, find the best ways to lead the patients who have recurrent panic attacks to the adequate therapeutic situations. We studied 53 patients diagnosed as panic disorder according to DSM-IV among the outpatients who had been followed up at Bong Seng Memorial Hospital for 6 Ms, from May 1997 to October 1997. To evaluate the illness behaviors, we designed a checklist including socio-demographic data, degree of subjective distress from medical and psychiatric treatment, panic symptoms, life events, places of help-seeking, Anxiety Sensitivity Index. Using the checklist, we had semistructured interviews with the panic disorder patients to elucidate their help-seeking behaviors from first panic attack to diagnosing as panic disorder. The results were as follows ; 1) After first panic attack, the patients initially sought help at 1) Emergency room 40%, 2) Rest &/or Personal emergency care 35%, 3) Pharmacy 10%, 4) Outpatient care at hospital 10%, 5) Oriental medicine 5%. 2) Considering the panic symptoms, derealization, paresthesia and the severity of panic symptoms were the most important factors affecting the patient's help-seeking behaviors who had experienced the first panic attack. 3) Most of all the patients (80%) were apt to visit the hospitals within 15 days after experiencing about 3 panic attacks. 4) Before diagnosed as panic disorder, the patients had visited 3-5 health care centers during about 1 year. 5) Primary care physicaians(for example, emergency care physicians, family doctors and internists) had the most important roles in treating or guiding the patients to the adequate therapeutic situations. From the above results, the authors propose that non-psychiatric physicians have to know the panic disorder or attacks exactly. When patients complaint sudden onset physical symptoms e.g. palpitation, dyspnea, dizziness or the cognitive symptoms like the fear of death or insanity, physicians should consider the possibility of panic attack and encourage the patients to be evaluated for psychiatric illness.

Financial companies have invested a lot in their disaster recovery system and exercised training more than once a year to comply related laws and regulations. But massive PCs(Personal Computers) became disrupted simultaneously and it took a lot of time to recover massive PCs concurrently when March 20 cyber attack occurred. So, it was impossible to meet the tartgeted business continuity level. It was because the importance of PC recovery was neglected compared to other disaster recovery areas. This study suggests the measure to recover massive branch terminal PCs of financial companies simultaneously in cost-effective way utilizing the existing technology and tests recovery time. It means that in the event of disaster financial companies could recover branch terminal PCs in 3 hours which is recommended recovery time by regulatory body. Other financial companies operating similar type and volume of branches would refer to the recovery structure and method proposed by this study.
