Analysis of Interior Design Elements in Food and Beverage Applying the Psychological Process of Purchasing(AIDMA) Model (구매심리과정(AIDMA)모델을 적용한 식음공간의 실내디자인요소 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data that can improve added value of commercial space strategically using the identification of relationship between the process of consumers' purchasing psychology (AIDMA : Attention, Interest, Desire, Memory, Action) and elements of interior design. For this purpose, case study and survey were carried out on food and beverage spaces, where they were doing business for more than two years, were selected from the ones appeared in the interior journal "A." Based on the study, basic details including a ground plan, design summary and representative image were identified through preliminary research, and a researcher visited the target spaces and carried out a research and analysis on interior design elements. Three spaces among targets of the case study were selected to identify the relation between design elements and AIDMA items which consumers feel, and the survey was conducted on the customers of the selected food and beverage spaces. Results of the case study on the 18 food and beverage spaces showed that features of the each of AIDMA items in material and color elements were most well expressed. As a result of survey conducted on visitors of each food and beverage space, features of each item were expressed in overall design elements. In particular, space elements and color elements in "Space 1," space elements and lighting elements in "Space 2" and space elements, furniture & objet elements in "Space 3" were most well expressed in each space. There were slight differences depending on individual characteristics such as design concept, location and business operation of target food and beverage spaces but attributes of AIDMA items were remarkably recognized in common in the space elements.

  • The transition of the media of the Pop Music industry can be revealed by the transition of the usage pattern of Pop music consumers and the effects of mass media like TV on music consumers' preferences. This study analyzed the usage pattern and tendency, which evolves from ownership to consumption comparing the AIDMA with the AISAS model.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Book Trailers as an Element of Reading Motivation for Teenagers (청소년들의 독서동기 요인으로서 북트레일러의 효용성에 관한 연구)

  • It has been shown that in the modern society, teenagers do not read a lot of books. As basic research in order to attract teenagers to reading activities, the effectiveness of booktrailers in affecting reading motivation of teenagers has been studied. As such, 121 middle school and high school students were surveyed with respect to their (1) basic awareness of reading and booktrailers, (2) awareness thereof after watching booktrailers, and (3) reader behaviour reaction applied to AIDMA & AISAS sub-elements. Results show booktrailers to be much more effective in reading motivation than printed media such as book reviews. The preferred booktrailer type is the storyline type. The preferred elements of booktrailers are the storyline, background music, video effects, with their preference in descending order. Also, in terms of the reader behaviour reaction of the teenagers, very positive responses appear across all areas including attention and interest in the book, memories of the book, desire to read the book, search for information, and production of booktrailers. These results indicate that booktrailers can be utilized very effectively in providing reading motivation and in reading expression activities.

  • As the mobile telecommunications industry in Korea boasts record-high revenue from its businesses, consumers and other industries are looking for new business applications and opportunities using mobile technologies. Many firms are seeking guidelines or business models for an effective use of this new mobile technology in their operations. This paper reviews the characteristics that distinguish mobile marketing, and analyzes marketing approaches which utilize the potential of the new mobile technologies. This paper shows that the new mobile advertising channel is not only complementary to traditional marketing channels, but also delivers benefits for multiple parties involved in mobile marketing. The key success factors in the new OB (Oriental Brewery) marketing campaign include a shortening of the stages in the AIDMA model and a broadening of customer contact points by exposing the brand through well-coordinated marketing efforts. The OB case shows that a mutually beneficial relationship between co-marketing participants can lead to a win-win marketing strategy. It also highlights that collaborative channel management in mobile marketing methodology is critical for successful mobile marketing.

The Effects of Public Library Service Using Book-Trailer on User Behavioral Reaction (공공도서관 북트레일러 서비스가 이용자 행동반응정도에 미치는 영향)

  • The study explored the extent of the effect of content book trailer services among the specialized services of the library using the latest technology. The AIDMA&AISAS model was employed to measure the seven reactions of user behavior: Attention, Interest, Search, Desire, Memory, Action, and Share. A total of 287 responses were analyzed by conducting surveys with users who had experienced book trailer services at 13 public libraries located in Incheon. The study found that there were significant differences in user behavioral reactions in all of the content genre, including message, conflict, and character, and in particular, the character genre had the highest effects, followed by conflict and message genres. However, the post-hoc test indicated that there was no significant difference between the genres of conflict and character in terms of interest, search, and user satisfaction. The present study suggests theoretical implications by assessing and confirming the effects of book trailer services of the content genre on the reactions of user behavior compared with previous studies that measured the effects of the book trailer services of the form genre, and further practical implications for effective book trailer services.

Applying RSS Marketing on Internet Shopping Malls Based on AISAS Model (인터넷 쇼핑몰을 위한 AISAS 모델 기반의 RSS 마케팅 활용방안에 관한 연구)

  • The area of the internet shopping mall heavily relies on new emerging information technologies, and it essentially requires delicate marketing model to support consumer behavior. RSS, which is one of the representative Web 2.0 technologies, is the system that distributes digital contents without any Web browser. RSS is expected not only to be very useful in online marketing but also to become actively applied on various areas such as online newspapers and blogs. AISAS model was proposed to complement the AIDMA model that did not cover the new changing customer behaviors of online commerce environment such as search and share. In this research, we propose a marketing model which utilizes RSS based on the AISAS model to support internet shopping malls. With our marketing model, internet shopping malls are expected to provide required services to the customers at every AISAS step. Moreover, it can provide integrated services by connecting all service components of each step. We utilized RSS in our model to implement those services because RSS has many advantages on supporting search and share of product information.
