I studied and analyzed current status about the necessity of Medical Oxygen Respiration First Aid when we perform first aid at emergency locations. As immediate and efficient first aid methods it is necessary to be able to use medical oxygen respiration equipments. I presented the basic data to develop and standardize education system on medical oxygen respiration first aid. Among those who were working at emergency locations in Korea from September 15th, 2005 to September 30th, 2005, I performed a survey on a professional group of 75 people and a non-professional group of 132 people. The results of the survey are summarized as follows. 1) There was difference between the professional group and the non-professional group on recognition about whether general public can perform medical oxygen respiration first aid(p<0.05). 2) On the necessity of medical oxygen respiration first aid, 93.2% of the total answered it is necessary and 6.8% answered it is unnecessary, so both groups thought it is very necessary(p>0.05). 3) On the importance of medical oxygen respiration first aid, 95.2% of the total answered it is important and 4.8% answered it is unimportant, so both groups thought it is very important(p>0.05). 4) On correspondence on necessity and importance of medical oxygen respiration first aid, there was a difference in thoughts between the professional group and the non-professional group(p<0.05). 5) On the necessity of education on medical oxygen respiration first aid, 98.1% of the total answered it is necessary and 1.9% answered it is unnecessary, so both groups thought it is very necessary(p>0.05).
"Arbitration" is a procedure to settle a dispute over property rights or disputes based on non-property rights that the parties can resolve through a reconciliation, not by a judgment of a court, but by an award of an arbitrator, and is a kind of Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR). Arbitration is the most representative and efficient ADR system in many fields, so by activating it, disputes can be resolved smoothly and ultimately, and social costs caused by a heavy increase in lawsuit can be reduced. Arbitration costs are often evaluated as 'cheap', but in reality, they can be similar to or exceed litigation costs. Nevertheless, unlike the Civil Procedure Act, which stipulates the litigation aid system for those who are hard to pay litigation costs, the Arbitration Act or the Arbitration Industry Promotion Act does not have the arbitration aid system for those who are hard to pay arbitration costs. However, considering ① the utility of arbitration compared to other dispute resolution procedures, such as litigation, ② the possibility of resolving trial delays through vitalizing arbitration, ③ the need to guarantee access to arbitration, ④ the feasibility of revitalizing arbitration by the arbitration aid system, it is necessary to introduce the Arbitration Aid System. To explain the details of the Arbitration Aid System, a person who intends to apply for arbitration or a party who continues arbitration could be the applicant. Regarding the judge, this paper suggests the establishment of a council for arbitration aid to prevent the possibility of prejudgment by the arbitral tribunal. Also, if the council accepts the application for arbitration aid, it would be appropriate for the arbitral tribunal to determine the allocation of arbitration costs considering the decision of the council and to include it into arbitral awards.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to find the problems of stability when people use the bassinet as an ambulatory aid for old people. Background: Many aged people use a bassinet as ambulatory aid. But the safety of using the bassinet as ambulatory aid has not been verified yet. Method: The 13 university-students who don't have musculoskeletal disorders volunteered to participate in this study. According to structural analysis of the both tools, we compared the structural stability of an outdoor rollator with the structural stability of a bassinet. And when the participants walked using both tools, the motions were captured and analysed. We measured the angle of shoulder joint and the angle of trunk from the ground when the participants were walking. And we found the distance from participants' pressure cone apex and greater trochanter. Results: Following the structural analysis, the bassinet has the lower structural stability than the outdoor rollator. When the people used the bassinet as ambulatory aid, the angle of the shoulder joint was bigger than to use the outdoor rollator. The angle of trunk wasn't different between the outdoor rollator and the bassinet. And distance from pressure cone apex to greater trochanter was far to use the bassinet than to use the outdoor rollator. Conclusion: Through the structure analysis and gait analysis of the bassinet and the outdoor rollator, we can be aware of that the bassinet has problem of stability. Therefore the people who use the bassinet as an ambulatory aid, especially supporting body weight, may be hurt due to the problems of stability. Application: This research can be used for developing a study of the ambulatory aid and preventing the accident when the aged people use the ambulatory aid.

The prescription sheets for outpatients from July 2008 to June 2009 from 7 community pharmacies in Ulsan City were surveyed for the anti-inflammatory drug (AID) prescription pattern. The AID prescription rate of pediatricians and ENT physicians were 30.0% and 34.8%, respectively. The oral steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (SAIDs) were prescribed as much as 3.9% by pediatricians and 10.3% by ENT physicians. The chiefly prescribed oral SAID was prednisolone in pediatric clinics and methylprednisolone in ENT clinics. Meanwhile the prescription rate of oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) was 22.5% by pediatricians and 21.4% in ENT physicians. The most favorable NSAIDs were propionate derivatives in both clinics. In case of externally-applied SAIDs, the prescription rate of pediatricians was 3.6% and that of ENT physicians was 2.8%. Among them, nasal spray, inhalant and gargle formulations for upper respiratory infection (URI) treatment occupied 35.8% of externally-applied SAIDs in pediatric clinics and 59.7% in ENT clinics. Further, it was observed that ENT physicians favored much stronger SAIDs in Group III of ATC classification (75.4% of externally-applied SAIDs) than pediatricians (49.2%). In the survey of AID combination rate, pediatric clinics showed much lower rate (1.4% of total AID prescriptions) than ENT clinics (7.5%). Among them, the combination rate of oral SAID and oral NSAID by ENT physicians (52.2% of total AID combinations) was much higher than pediatricians (36.6%), which might be over-prescription of AID agents. In conclusion, the AID prescription rate as well as AID combination rate, especially in SAID prescriptions, was much higher in ENT than pediatric clinics, which implies the higher confidency on AID drugs of ENT physicians even though the severity of patient's symptom could be considered.
Purpose: This paper compares practical first aid training and theoretical first aid training in elementary schools. Methods: Research subjects were randomly selected and sorted into experimental and control groups. The former is one class (28 students) of the fifth grade students, and the latter is another class (30 students). In order to verify the effect of first aid training, we conducted theoretical as well as practical first-aid instruction about foreign body airway obstruction to the experimental group, but conducted only theoretical instruction with the control group. Data were analyzed by the ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test, one-way using the SPSS / win 12.0 program. The results were as follows (p=.05). Results: The first hypothesis was that the knowledge of an experimental group would be better than that of a control group. The analysis showed a significant difference (p=.000) between the two groups, supporting this hypothesis. The second hypothesis was that the experimental group would be more accurate than the control group. There was no because of (p=.000) between the two groups on this measure. The third hypothesis, that the two groups would vary over time on the measure of accuracy, was supported by the following observations: the experimental results were accumulated before, two days after and two weeks after the training (experimental group, p=.000, and control group, p=.000). This supports the third hypothesis that the technical performance accuracy levels of complete respiratory obstruction first aid vary over time. Conclusion: First aid training has to include practical education as well as theoretical education in the future, as part of a school's health education for elementary students. Health education classrooms should be prepared to teach first-aid theory and be supplied with equipment for practical exercises. Schools, communities, and private organizations need to carry out the practical education component periodically.
Purpose : This study aimed to identify the educational effects of the International Development Cooperation and Healthcare course from 2018 to 2020. Methods : Changes in awareness of international development cooperation (understanding international development cooperation as well as government Official Development Assistance [ODA], thoughts on aid, and thoughts on government's aid scale) were analyzed using web-based surveys. The pre-course survey was conducted 1-2 weeks before the semester started, and the post-course survey was conducted 1-2 weeks after the semester ended. All data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program, and statistical significance was set at p< .05. Results : A total of 314 people participated in the survey before taking the course, and 286 people participated in the survey after taking the course. Analysis of the changes in students' awareness of international development cooperation showed that all items (understanding international development cooperation and government ODA, as well as having thoughts on aid and government's aid scale) were improved. Regarding changes in awareness according to general characteristics, thoughts on aid were statistically significant according to all characteristics except for 2018. Regarding government's aid scale, awareness scores increased after taking the course in students who majored in healthcare, fine arts and athletics, broadcasting and media studies, and digital contents. Conclusion : This study showed that changes in awareness of international development cooperation were largest in second-year students. Compared to changes regarding international development cooperation, government ODA, and thoughts on aid, changes regarding thoughts on government's aid scale were minor. In the future, it is necessary to develop class content suitable for the first-year level and to supplement and operate content that can change the way of thinking on government's aid scale.

With recent advances in wireless communication and low-power miniaturized biomedical sensor and semiconductor technologies, wireless body area networks (WBAN) has become an integral part of the disaster aid system. Wearable vital sign sensors can track patients' status and location, thus enhancing disaster rescue efficiency. In the past few years, most of the literatures in the area of disaster aid system based on WBAN have focused on issues concerning wireless sensor design, sensor miniaturization, energy efficiency and communication protocols. In this paper, we will give an overview of disaster aid, discuss about the types of network communication as well as outline related issues. We will emphasize on analyzing six key issues in employing the disaster aid system. Finally, we will also highlight some of the challenges that still need to be addressed in the future in order to help the disaster aid system be truly and widely accepted by the public.
This paper proposes functional test methods of first-aid gadgets which are special end-effectors, for relief robot. In recent years, researches have been actively conducted on robots that can perform rescue operations on behalf of rescue workers in dangerous areas such as disasters and wars. These special robots mainly perform the task of finding or transporting injured people. However, it is sometimes they necessary to provide first aid in the field. Among the various first-aid operations, gadgets are being developed for oxygen supply, injection, and hemostasis operations that can be used in a defense/civilian area by using robot technology. Previous studies have proposed first-aid gadgets that are suitable for onsite situations and enable robots to perform the given task quickly and accurately. In this paper, we design a test procedure suitable for the functions of first-aid gadgets, summarize the results, and introduce future research directions.
