  • The main purpose to introduce model based controller in proposed control technique is to provide better and fast learning of the floating dynamics by means of fuzzy logic controller and also cancelling effect of nonlinear terms of the system. An iterative adaptive dynamic programming algorithm is proposed to deal with the optimal trajectory-tracking control problems for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). The optimal tracking control problem is converted into an optimal regulation problem by system transformation. Then the optimal regulation problem is solved by the policy iteration adaptive dynamic programming algorithm. Finally, simulation example is given to show the performance of the iterative adaptive dynamic programming algorithm.

  • In Korea, livestock has grown into the most value-added business in the agricultural and forest industry. But due to the recent outbreak of deadly infectious diseases such as foot-and-mount disease and avian influenza (AI), the demand for IT-enabled cutting-edge management system is getting stronger. As for humans, pilot projects and researches concerning U-healthcare have been carried out since early 2000. So this study explored the current progress of U-healthcare introduction, and suggested the strategies to develop technologies of collecting, processing, and utilizing information; to apply elements for a service model development and prioritization; to provide policy and institutional support. Therefore it is expected to vitalize the livestock U-healthcare in the future through continuous study based on these results.

  • The field of user authentication in Korea has experienced new dimensions since December 2020. Accredited certificate, which had been in use for 21 years since 1999, has been abolished. Accredited certificates have provided a trust foundation for various ICT-based industrial developments; however, new changes in the authentication sector are also required due to changes in the service and policy environment. Changes in the service environment occur rapidly because of the emergence of new technologies such as AI, IoT, Bio, Blockchain, and the daily use of non-face-to-face environments caused by COVID-19. Even with changes in the service environment, user authentication remains an essential foundation for providing services. This paper summarizes the current status of user authentication techniques, analyzes major changes in the service environment (such as Metaverse) associated with user authentication, and presents the direction of authentication techniques (Decentralized, Invisible, Privacy-preserving) through the derived implications.

  • In this study, we analyze the automotive chip ecosystem that recently caused the global supply shortage, and attempt to derive policy implications for us from the conclusion. Automotive chips are critical parts that control various systems so that a vehicle can drive itself or operate with electricity. The current shortage in supply and demand for automotive chips is due to the inconsistency between supply and demand between automotive chip companies and car manufacturers. To promote the automotive chip industry, new investment incentives, tax cuts, and human resource training are needed.

  • This study was performed to delineate the relationship between lifestyle and nutritional risk factors associated with hypertension in representative middle-aged Korean population. Hypertension in this study is defined as hypertensive ($SBP{\geq}140mmHg\;or\;DBP{\geq}90mmHg$) adults without recognition of a disease state before a health exam. With data from the 1998 and 2001 National Health and Nutritional Survey, nutrient intakes of 6,112 adults, 40-64 years of age were calculated using food composition database and matched with health examination records by individual ID. After excluding those with extreme intake values, the number of final subjects included in the analysis was 5,200 (male 2,458, female 2,742). Using logistic regression method, socio-demographic data, lifestyle factors, and nutrient intakes were analyzed. Risky factors for hypertension revealed in this study were age, sex, BMI over 23, waist circumference, alcohol intake of more than 16g (male) or 8g (female). Regarding nutrient intakes, the intakes of highest quartile for energy (${\geq}2363.0kcal$) and protein (${\geq}90.2g$) were significantly associated with higher risk of hypertension after adjusting for age, sex, and other socio-demographic factors (OR=1.312(1.046-1.711), OR=1.488(1.194-1.854), respectively)). Although high intakes of sodium (${\geq}6604.0mg$) and phosphorus seemed to be risk factors of hypertension also before energy adjustment (OR=1.278(1.034-1.581), OR=1.280(1.024-1.600), respectively), only high intakes of energy and protein remained significant after adjustment. This study revealed that modifying risky lifestyles and dietary patterns, especially high energy intake, high protein intake, and high alcohol drinking, in middle-aged Korean adults could result in a prevalence decrease and/or prevention of hypertension.

  • The artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology that will lead the future connective and intelligent era by combining with almost all industries in manufacturing and service industry. Although Korea is one of the world's leading artificial intelligence group with the United States, Japan, and Germany, but its competitiveness in terms of artificial intelligence patent is relatively low compared to others. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out quantitative analysis of artificial intelligence patents in various aspects in order to examine national competitiveness, major industries and future development directions in artificial intelligence technology. In this study, we use the IPC technology classification code to estimate the overall life cycle and the speed of development of the artificial intelligence technology. We collected patents related to artificial intelligence from 2008 to 2018, and analyze patent trends through one-dimensional statistical analysis, two-dimensional statistical analysis and network analysis. We expect that the technological trends of the artificial intelligence industry discovered from this study will be exploited to the strategies of the artificial intelligence technology and the policy making of the government.

  • In the 4th Industrial Revolution, information is collected and analyzed from people and objects through the rapid development of ICT. It is possible to create value. However, there are many legal and institutional restrictions on the collection of information aimed at people. Therefore, in-depth research on the protection and use of personal information in the rapidly changing cyber security environment is needed. The purpose of this study is to protect and utilize personal information for the operation of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and big data during the 4th Industrial Revolution. It is to seek a paradigm shift. The organization of the research for this is: Chapter 1 examines the meaning of personal information during the 4th Industrial Revolution, Chapter 2 presents the framework for the review and analysis of prior research. In Chapter 3, after analyzing policies for the protection and utilization of personal information in major countries, Chapter 4 looks at the paradigm shift in personal information protection during the 4th Industrial Revolution and how to respond. Chapter 5 made some policy suggestions for the protection and utilization of personal information.

  • The aviation safety policy master plan is promoting the development of aviation safety management technology applying the 4th industrial revolution technology with the goal of establishing a flawless aviation safety management system and establishing a future aviation safety infrastructure. The master plan includes the establishment of various aviation safety management systems such as aircraft fault management using AI & Big data and flight training system using VR/AR. Currently, the Air Force is promoting a flight safety management system using new technology under the goal of building smart air force. Therefore, this study intends to apply the 4th Industrial Revolution technology to the aircraft condition check system that finally checks the safety of the aircraft before flight. The Air Force conducts airframe flaw checks and pre-flight aircraft check. In this study, we architect the airframe flaw check system using AI and drones, and the pre-flight aircraft condition check system using the IoT and big data for more precise and detailed check of aircraft condition and flawlessness check.

  • The university and college turn into the field of job readiness to get a good job and students build a lot of job specification than others and are constantly studying for employment. Then since employment, some people are fortunate to keep the job for lifetime, but for many people work in the workplace did not meet his aptitude with patience and some people move for work several times without perseverance. One of the reasons for job dissatisfaction is that the job does not fit his aptitude. Meantime many organizations conducted the aptitude(Psychology) test. There are limits, however, to find a suitable job. This study was presented as a model of a platform that is a rational and scientific alternative to search course and job. This model is to better understand the individual characteristics using Big data and artificial intelligence, offers several jobs to meet the characteristics among the various professions selectively and supports to select and design an appropriate job based on the field experience, consulting and mentoring.
