  • AI(Artificial intelligence) is gradually taking up a large part of our lives, and the pace of AI development is accelerating. It is called ACT that develop students' computational thinking in the way artificial intelligence learns. Among ACTs, pattern recognition is an essential factor in efficiently solving problems. Pattern analysis is part of the pattern recognition process. In fact, Netflix's personalized movie recommendation service and what it named Covid-19 after repeated symptoms are all the results of pattern analysis. While the importance of ACT, including pattern recognition, is highlighted, software education for kindergarten and elementary school lower grades is much insufficient compared to foreign countries. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop textbooks for the development of artificial intelligence-based computational thinking through pattern analysis for kindergarten students.

  • During the 10 years from 2011 to 2021, a whopping 2,800 people were killed or injured during port work. Among them, the frequency of occurrence at the port loading and unloading business is high. Container terminal operators must conduct risk assessments and establish reasonable safety measures in accordance with laws and regulations. As a research method, the contents of risk assessment presented in the Industrial Safety and Health Act, the Serious Accident Punishment Act, and the Special Act on Port Safety are presented through literature analysis. In this study, previous studies were analyzed to examine the risk assessment method and risk factors of container terminals. The purpose is to present 'industrial safety AI chatbot technology' that can improve the risk of safety accidents.

  • Recently, Chat GPT artificial intelligence (AI) is of keen interest to all governments, companies, and military sectors around the world. In the existing era of literacy AI, it has entered an era in which communication with humans is possible with generative AI that creates words, writings, and pictures. Due to the complexity of the current laws and ordinances issued during the recent national crisis in Korea and the ambiguity of the timing of application of laws and ordinances, the golden time of situational measures was often missed. For these reasons, it was not able to respond properly to every major disaster and military conflict with North Korea. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to revise the National Crisis Management Basic Act, which can act as a national tower in the event of a national crisis, and to promote artificial intelligence governance by linking artificial intelligence technology with the civil, government, military, and police.

  • The advent of image generative AI has made it possible for people who are not experts in art and design to create finished artworks through text input. With the increasing availability of generated images and their impact on the art industry, there is a need for research on how users perceive the process of co-creating with AI. In this study, we conducted an experimental study to investigate the expected and experienced processes of image generative AI creation among general users and to find out which processes affect users' sense of creative agency. The results showed that there was a gap between the expected and experienced creative process, and users tended to perceive a low sense of creative agency. We recommend eight ways that AI can act as an enabler to support users' creative intentions so that they can experience a higher sense of creative agency. This study can contribute to the future development of image-generating AI by considering user-centered creative experiences.

  • This study discusses the conceptual meanings of 'healthy families' by examining four popular misunderstandings regarding the concept. These misunderstandings are based partly on the lack of consensus on the use of the concepts of 'health' and 'families' and partly on the intentional misreading of the 'Healthy Fanulies Act' To correspond to the Concerns related to the Act, we need to clarify various meanings of the concept of family and to confirm the theoretical pounds of 'healthy families' based on the multidisciplinary consensus. To build consensus, it might be necessary to review some of the articles of the Act that have been misinterpreted.

  • Recently, advancement of AI-enabled autonomous MUM-T combat system and industrial revitalization are rapidly emerging as global issues. However, the Defense Business Act of the Ministry of National Defense in Korea is judged to be somewhat insufficient compared to NATO leading countries in advancement of operation part of a weapon system as MUM-T is centered on a weapon system's own device. We established the concept of AI-enabled autonomous MUM-T to strengthen international competitiveness of complex combat systems such as future global UGV, UAV, and UMS. In addition, NATO and US-centered autonomy, interoperability, and data standardization-based defense AI MUM-T top-level platform construction and operation plan, establishment of a national defense innovation committee such as the National Science and Technology Advisory Council, review and advisory function reinforcement, and additional governance measures are proposed.

  • Autoinduction is mediated by signaling molecules known as autoinducers (AIs) that are produced, released and detected by bacterium itself. We recently reported that Corynebacterium glutamicum possesses an autoinduction system which secretes autoinducers during the stationary-phase of growth, triggering the expression of acyltransferase gene. However, it is still not clear what may act as autoinducers for the autoinduction in C. glutamicum. In this study, we compared the inducing effects of cell-free culture fluids obtained from a number of microbes including Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Vibrio harveyi, and Escherichia coli. Fluids from A. tumefaciens did not increase the expression of acyltransferase, whereas fluids from V. harveyi BB120 ($AI-1^+$, $AI-2^+$) did. Interestingly, the expression was increased by the fluids obtained from the early exponential-phase culture of BB120. Furthermore, this induction was not observed by the fluids from autoinducer mutants of V. harveyi MM77 ($AI-1^-$, $AI-2^-$) and BB152 ($AI-1^-$, $AI-2^+$). Unlike the effect shown by BB152, fluids from E. coli ($AI-1^-$, $AI-2^+$) still induced the acyltransferase expression. Taken together, these results suggest that C. glutamicum autoinducers seem to be unidentified molecules which do not belong to AI-1 or AI-2.

  • The expansion of the scope of product liability is necessary because the industrial environment has changed following the enactment of the Product Liability Act. Unlike human-coded algorithms, artificial intelligence is black-boxed according to machine learning, and even developers cannot explain the results. In particular, since the cause of the problem by artificial intelligence is unknown, the responsibility is unclear, and compensation for victims is not easy. This is because software or artificial intelligence is a non-object, and its productivity is not recognized under the Product Liability Act, which is limited to movable property. As a desperate measure, productivity may be recognized if it is stored or embedded in the medium. However, it is not reasonable to apply differently depending on the medium. The EU revise the product liability guidelines that recognize product liability when artificial intelligence is included. Although compensation for victims is the value pursued by the Product Liability Act, the essence has been overlooked by focusing on productivity. Even if an accident occurs using an artificial intelligence-adopted service, however, it is desirable to present standards according to practical risks instead of unconditionally holding product responsibility.
