  • Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of anxiety and depression on motor recovery of acute Bell's palsy to estimate how much psychological factors affect the clinical prognosis. Methods : A total of 20 inpatients with acute unilateral Bell's palsy within 1 week of onset participated in this study. The severity of participants' facial palsy was measured by Yanagihara(Y-system) score, FDI and House-Brackmann scale at the time of 1 week and 3 weeks from the onset. The motor recovery of acute Bell's palsy is defined as ${\Delta}Y$-system during 2 weeks. Beck anxiety scale(BAI) and the center for epidermiologic studies depression scale(CES-D) were adopted to assess anxiety and depression, respectively. Correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were conducted between ${\Delta}Y$-system and prognostic factors including anxiety and depression. Results : Significant associations were found between ${\Delta}Y$-system and depression(CES-D) but no significant associations were found between ${\Delta}Y$-system and other prognostic factors, hypertension, diabetes, postauricular pain, disgeusia, age, degree of initial palsy and anxiety(BAI). And a regression equation with 0.295 for coefficient of determination was obtained. Through this analysis, the ${\Delta}Y$-system can be predicted using regression equation which cover 29.5 % of depression index(CES-D). Conclusion : Depression is a significant clinical prognostic factor on motor recovery of acute Bell's palsy. So, Bell's palsy treatment should be combined with psychological care and support.

  • Smartphone addiction has become more serious than internet addiction since people can download and run numerous applications with smartphones even without internet connection. However, smartphone addiction is not sufficiently dealt with in current studies. The S-scale method developed by Korea National Information Society Agency involves so many questions that respondents are likely to avoid the diagnosis itself. Moreover, since S-scale is determined by the total score of responded items without taking into account of demographic variables, it is difficult to get an accurate result. Therefore, in this paper, we have extracted important factors from all data, which affect smartphone addiction, including demographic variables. Then we classified the selected items with a neural network. The result of a comparative analysis with backpropagation learning algorithm and multiclass support vector machine shows that learning rate is slightly higher in multiclass SVM. Since multiclass SVM suggested in this paper is highly adaptable to rapid changes of data, we expect that it will lead to a more accurate self-diagnosis of smartphone addiction.

  • Although the market demand for cold-chain logistics of agricultural products in China is growing rapidly, the technology and scale of cold-chain logistics in China still lag behind the developed countries, resulting in large energy consumption. In our country, many authors have studied the efficiency of cold-chain logistics by using analytic hierarchy process and data envelopment method, but they haven't eliminated the influence of environmental factors and random error factors on the efficiency of cold-chain logistics, and most of them are limited to regional research. Therefore, in this paper, the three-stage DEA method is used. Based on the green logistics idea, firstly, the efficiency of 29 listed logistics enterprises in China is analyzed. Secondly, this paper uses SFA model to exclude the influence of environment and error factors on the analysis results, taking the enterprise's operating years, local GDP and the proportion of cold chain assets as environmental variables. Finally, this paper estimates the efficiency value again by adjusting the input value. The results are as follows: the main reason of high efficiency enterprises is to achieve scale efficiency. So the scale of assets should be maintained or appropriately expanded. At the same time, the economic development and the number of years of enterprise establishment will significantly affect the efficiency of cold-chain logistics. The influence of these environmental variables on the accuracy of the analysis conclusion should be fully considered.

  • Reverse osmosis (RO) membranes have been widely used for desalination as well as water and wastewater treatment facilities. Cleaning process is important to maintain stable operation as well as prevention of membrane fouling. Purpose of this research is to analyze electrostatistic and chemical characteristics after cleaning of RO membrane against $SiO_2$ scale. Four RO membranes of polyamide are used and examined about effect of chemical cleaning. EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) and SDS (sodium dodecil sulfate) and NaOH are applied for cleaning process after operation in synthetic water. Then, cleaning was performed with chemicals such concentration as 6hr, 12hr and 24hr, respectively. As a result, transmittances of FT-IR of four membranes are compared at each cleaning concentration. Ta/Tv shows difference of chemical composition between new membrane and cleaning membrane after cleaning. Type B of RO membrane is turned out to be most vulnerable to cleaning among four membranes. In terms of zeta potential, new membrane has -16 mV to +6 mV on pH while scaled membrane has -18 mV to 2 mV. However, it changed -23mV to 0.9 mV after cleaning. In comparison with existing salt rejection of RO membranes after cleaning, the rejection of the membranes goes down 0.7% maximum. Though cleaning changes the characteristics of membrane surface, it does not greatly affect salt rejection. pH is a critical factor to flux change in PA (polyamide) membrane.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the correlation among perfectionism, academic resilience and subjective well-being in order to identify factors that affect subjective well-being in Korean undergraduate students. Methods: This study is a descriptive study. This study was performed on 245 students currently studying in a national university in S city. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data regarding the multidimensional perfectionism scale, the academic resilience scale, and the subjective well-being scale. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise linear multiple regression with SPSS 25.0 for Windows. Results: Participants' scores for self-oriented perfectionism (SOP), other-oriented perfectionism (OOP), and socially prescribed perfectionism (SPP), academic resilience and subjective well-being were 64.64±12.78, 53.62±8.90, 56.98±8.96, 92.60±19.55, and 82.93±9.72, respectively. SPP showed a negative correlation with subjective well-being (r=- .27, p<.001), while academic resilience showed a positive correlation with subjective well-being (r=.20, p=.001). Satisfaction with school life, SPP, and academic resilience were identified as factors influencing subjective well-being and explained about 22% of the variance in subjective well-being. Conclusion: This study suggests that we need to identify various factors influencing subjective well-being and accordingly develop nursing interventions to improve undergraduate students' subjective well-being.

  • Background: Stress as a cause of mental health problems is known to be more prevalent in women than in men and has a negative effect on several aspects of physical health, such as the composition of blood and saliva. This study investigated the relationship of perceived stress with blood cell counts, saliva flow rate, and saliva factors. Methods: We recruited women in their 20s with a high prevalence of stress. Stress was evaluated using the Korean version of the perceived stress scale. Blood tests included white blood cell, hemoglobin, and platelet. We then examined the saliva flow rate and cariogenic bacteria level, acidity, occult blood, buffer capacity, leukocyte level, protein level, and ammonia level using rinse water with the SILL-Ha saliva test system. Results: In a total of 70 participants, the average age was 21.64 years old, the average perceived stress score was 16.96±4.32, and high levels of stress were reported by 80% of the participants (n=56). The high-stress group had lower hemoglobin levels. In addition, the high-stress group showed a lower saliva flow rate than the low-stress group, and there was a difference in the salivary acidity and buffer capacity. The total perceived stress score showed a positive correlation with acidity and negative correlation with buffer capacity and the hemoglobin level. Conclusion: This study found that stress in female college students might affect the composition of blood and saliva. High levels of stress were positively correlated with the hemoglobin level, saliva flow rate, and acidity and negatively correlated with the buffer capacity.

  • Purpose - In the context of economic globalization and the continuous development of international trade, as countries around the sea peninsula, port construction is particularly important. Based on the research on the influencing factors of port logistics development based on the allocation analysis, QCA (Qualitative Comparative Analysis) provides the basis for the planning and policy of port logistics development and has important theoretical value and practical significance for improving the level of port logistics management, reducing logistics operating costs and increasing economic benefits. In the tide of global integration for the development of port logistics, promote the growth of foreign trade economy of the city. It is also of great significance to the development and progress of commerce and trade. Design/methodology - Based on the relevant data samples of various ports in South Korea, this paper uses fsQCA (fuzzy set Qualitative Comparative Analysis) to integrate and analyze the influence mechanism of port logistics development and extracts five influencing factors of port logistics development, including the port's scale and infrastructure in the hard environment, port-neighboring enterprises in the soft environment, hinterland economy and government support. Findings - The five factors are unable to separately constitute the necessary and sufficient conditions of port logistics development, only a combined model can influence lake port logistics development. The scale and infrastructure of the port itself and port-neighboring ring enterprises are the main core conditions, which work together on the port, affect the throughput capacity of the port, and promote the development of port logistics. When the port-neighboring enterprises are not complete and the scale is low, the growth of port throughput will be restrained and the development of port logistics will be affected, whether the hinterland economic benefits are general, the development of port-neighboring enterprises is insufficient, or the government supports are limited. Originality/value - Through the research on the development of port logistics in South Korea from the perspective of configuration, this paper finds the configuration influence of hard environment and soft environment on the development of port logistics, which has important theoretical and practical significance for better promoting the development of port logistics in South Korea.

  • The mechanical properties of the propellant with yellow iron oxide were slightly increased compared to the propellant with red iron oxide. The propellant with yellow iron oxide used two types of AP. As the ratio of small particles of AP increased, the burning rate increased. The propellant may be applied to the propellant under operating conditions of 17.5 mm/sec or less having a pressure index of 0.5. The burning rate downs in the mixer scale-up. The stress at maximum load of propellant decreased and the strain at maximum load increased in the mixer scale-up. The yellow iron oxide did not affect the adhesive force between the insulation/liner/propellant.

  • Objectives : Antipsychotic-induced hyperprolactinemia causes physical symptoms, such as amenorrhea, galactorrhea, gynecomastia, sexual dysfunction, and bone density loss, as well as psychiatric symptoms, such as depression and cognitive impairments. This study aimed to clarify the associations among hyperprolactinemia caused by antipsychotics in patients with schizophrenia, psychiatric pathology, and psychosocial factors. Methods : Ninety-nine patients with schizophrenia in the psychiatry department of a university hospital were registered between 2015 and 2017. All participants were assessed using structured questionnaires to elucidate psychopathology, social function, quality of life, and hyperprolactinemia-related side effects. The standard levels for hyperprolactinemia were 24ng/mL for women and 20ng/mL for men. Results : The average prolactin levels were $73.45{\pm}49.37ng/mL$ in patients with hyperprolactinemia and $9.16{\pm}6.42ng/mL$ in those without hyperprolactinemia. The average prolactin level in women was significantly higher than that in men(p=0.04). Risperidone was most commonly administered in patients with hyperprolactinemia(58.1%, p<0.01), while aripiprazole was most commonly administered in those without hyperprolactinemia(44.7%, p<0.01). Patients with hyperprolactinemia had significantly higher Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(p=0.03) and Patient Health Questionnaire-9(p=0.05) scores and had significantly lower Social and Occupational Functioning Assessment Scale(p=0.04) and Strauss-Carpenter Levels of Functioning Scale(p=0.03) scores than patients without hyperprolactinemia. There were no significant differences in side effects or quality of life between the two groups. Conclusion : These findings demonstrate that hyperprolactinemia confers negative effects on depression and social function, but does not directly affect the quality of life. These results suggest that patients with schizophrenia who take antipsychotics that increase prolactin or cause side effects of hyperprolactinemia need to be assessed and receive interventions for depression.
