the horizontal corrosion fatigue tester has been developed for investigating environmental strength. Using this tester, we investigated about corrosion fatigue caracteristic for A106 GrB steel weldments in 3.5% synthetic seawater and room temperature. Considered parameter is only frequency of 1,3 and 5Hz. and Corrosion fatigue crack length was measured by DC potential difference method. From the results, we could find that the horizontal corrosion fatiued tester could be well applied to estimation of fatigue strength. and In case of 5Hz, corrosion fatigue crack growth path of A106 GrB steel weldment was transgranular, and of 1 and 3Hz showed that transgranular and intergranular was mixed. Also, Corrosion fatigue crack growth caracteristic values estimated in each frequency were C=9.33 x 10-9 and m=2.93 in 1Hz, C=9.77x10-10 and m=3.47 in 3Hz, C=1.02x10-10 and m=4.05 in 1Hz
The horizontal corrosion fatigue tester has been developed for investigating environmental strength. Considered parameter is only frequency of 1, 3 and 5Hz.. and Corrosion fatigue crack length was measured by DC potential difference method. From the results, we could find that the horizontal corrosion fatigue tester could be well applied to estimation of fatigue strength. and, In case of 5Hz., corrosion fatigue crack growth pate of A106-Gr B steel weldment was transgranular, and of 1 and 3Hz. showed that transgranular and interfranular was mixed. Also, Material constants of corrosion fatigue crack growth estimated in each frequency were C=9.33$\times$$10^{-9}$ and m=2.93 in 1Hz., C=9.77$\times$$10^{-10}$ and m=3.47 in 3Hz., C=1.02$\times$$10^{-10}$ and m=4.05 in 5Hz
In this study, residual stresses of the weldment were calculated by finite element analysis(FEA) and experiment. And, the crack closure behaviour and fatigue crack growth characteristics in field of residual stress of A106 Gr B steel pipe weldment were investigated under various stress ratio. Obtained results are as follows. I) $K_{op}$ was independent of $K_{max}$, and load ratio in fatigue crack growth. 2) In variation of load ratio, the scatter band of crack growth curve was reduced by half considering crack closure. and 3) Neglecting crack closure behaviour, actual fatigue crack growth rate can be underestimated' and Actual fatigue crack growth rate can be overestimated by $K_{res}$, in tensile residual stress field.
With HAZ of A 106 Gr B steel weldment, fatigue test in air, electrochemical polarization test and corrosion fatigue test in 3.5wt.% NaCl solution were performed changing load ratio. Obtained results are as follows. 1) K$\sub$op/ was independent of K$\sub$max/ and load ratio in fatigue crack growth. 2) In variation of load ratio, the scatter band of crack growth curve was reduced by half considering crack closure 3) In the result of electrochemical polarization test, current density was increased abruptly when potential was larger than corrosion potential. 4) Fatigue crack growth rate in corrosive environment was markly higher than the rate in air because of corrosion characteristics of the material and anodization of inner surface crack.
In order to investigate the corrosion fatigue characteristics in the weld of multi-pass welded A 106 Gr B steel pipe, corrosion fatigue tests were performed under the various stress ratios and 3.5 wt% NaCl solution at room temperature. The corrosion fatigue characteristic curves were represented using crack closure concept. The obtained results are as follows : when the load frequency is 1.0 Hz, the crack opening point is transited in the region of $K_{max}$=20∼32 MPaㆍ $m^{1}$2/. In the low stress intensity factor range, the crack opening point is higher than that in air. However, in the high stress intensity factor range, it is lower than that in air. In the cases of 0.1 Hz and 0.01 Hz, the crack opening point gradually decreases to $K_{min}$ with $K_{max}$ increase.rease.
The A106 Gr B low carbon steel, which was used in the electric power plants and heavy chemical plants, was welded by multi-pass arc welding. The heat affected zone (HAZ) formed by welding was corroded in acid chloride solution, or in saturated $H_2S$ containing acid chloride solution, or in saturated $H_2S$ containing acid chloride solution under applied current. In this order of corrosion solution, the rate of corrosion increased, because $H_2S$ accelerated the iron dissolution, hydrogen evolution, and the formation of nonprotective FeS, whereas the applied current accelerated the electrochemical reaction. The scales formed in acid chloride solution consisted primarily of $Fe_3O_4$, while those formed in $H_2S$ containing acid chloride solution consisted primarily of $Fe_3O_4$ and FeS.

Recently, the bending process is greatly applied to fabricate the pipe line. Bending process can reduce welding joints and then decrease the number of inspection. Thus, the maintenance cost will be reduced. Induction heat bending process is composed of bending deformation by repeated local heat and cooling. By this thermal process, corrosion properties and microstructure can be affected. This work focused on the effect of induction heating bending process on the properties of ASME SA106 Gr. C low carbon steel pipes. Microstructure analysis, hardness measurements, and immersion corrosion test were performed for base metal and bended area including extrados, intrados, crown up, and down parts. Microstructure was analyzed using an optical microscope and SEM. Hardness was measured using a Rockwell B scale. Induction heat bending process has influenced upon the size and distribution of ferrite and pearlite phases which were transformed into finer structure than those of base metal. Even though the fine microstructure, every bent area showed a little lower hardness than that of base metal. It is considered that softening by the bending process may be arisen. Except of I2, intrados area, the others showed a similar corrosion rate to that of base metal. But even relatively high rate of intrados area was very low and acceptable. Therefore, it is judged that induction heat bending process didn't affect boric acid corrosion behaviour of carbon steel.

A FAC (flow-accelerated corrosion) test was performed for a straight pipe composed of the SA335 Gr P22 and SA106 Gr B (SA106-SA335-SA106) types of steel with welds as a function of the flow rate in the range of 7-12 m/s at 150 ℃ and with DO < 5 ppb at pH levels ranging from 7 to 9.5 up to a cumulative test time of 7200 h using the FAC demonstration test facility. Afterward, the experimental pipe was examined destructively to investigate opposite effects as well as entrance effects. In addition, the FAC rate obtained using a pipe specimen with a 50 mm inner diameter was compared with the rate obtained from a rotating cylindrical electrode. The effects of the complicated fluid flows at the elbow and orifice of the pipeline were also evaluated using another test section designed to examine the independent effects of the orifice and the elbow depending on the distance and the combined effects on orifice and elbow. The tests were performed under the following conditions: 130-150 ℃, DO < 5 ppb, pH 7 and a flow rate of 3 m/s. The FAC rate was determined using the thickness change obtained from commercial room-temperature ultrasonic testing (UT).
This study aims to investigate the suitability of requirement for post-weld heat treatment(PWHT) temperature when different P-No. materials are welded, which is defined by ASME Sec. III Code. For SA-516 Gr. 60 and SA-106 Gr. B carbon steels that are typical P-No. 1 material, simulated heat treatment were conducted for 8 h at $610^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$, $690^{\circ}C$, and $730^{\circ}C$, last two temperature falls in the temperature of PWHT for P-No. 5A low-alloy steels. Tensile and Charpy impact tests were performed for the heat-treated specimens, and then microstructure was analyzed by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectrometry. The Charpy impact properties deteriorated significantly mainly due to a large amount of cementite precipitation when the temperature of simulated heat treatment was $730^{\circ}C$. Therefore, when dissimilar metal welding is carried out for P-No. 1 carbon steel and different P-No. low alloy steel, the PWHT temperature should be carefully selected to avoid significant deterioration of impact properties for P-No. 1 carbon steel.
