  • In this paper we study the problem of implementation of security issues of blue tooth, especially secure simple pairing, with the help of an efficient four user authenticated key (4UAK) for an elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). This paper also deals with the design, implement and performance evaluation of secure simple pairing (SSP) using an elliptic curve cryptography, such as Diffie Hellman protocol when four users are involved. Here, we also compute the best, worst and average case step counts (time complexities). This work puts forth an efficient way of providing security in blue tooth. The time complexity of O(n4) is achieved using Rabin Miller Primality methodology. The method also reduces the calculation price and light communication loads.

  • The IUE archival spectra of VV Cephei were collected to investigate the eclipse nature in the ultraviolet. The temperature of the B star has been determined, as approximately30,OOOK, based en the flux distributions durstributions during egress, Light curves of VV Cephei were reduced from the spectrophotometry of the IUE archival spectra. Three light curves at the center wavelengths of 2350A,2550A and :!850A have been analyzed by the modified Wilson and Oevinney light curve program. the radii of the B star and M star were deduced to 0.05 and 0.22 of uint separation, respectively. The UV light curves show anevidence that the light was attenuated by the highly opaque atmosphere of the M star

  • Sixteen unitary Light curves of AR Lac in B and V are made at Yonsei University Observatory in the period of 1980-1988. Some overview findings of light variations are made. (1) The light variation outside eclipse follow none of the wave migration patterns reported by previous investigators. (2) Complicated shapes outside eclipse are apparently much reduced in the light curves of 1983-1984. This suggests than, in the future, AR Lac has a chance to attain a normal state with no complicated interactions. (3) The depths of the primary and the secondary mid-eclipses are changing year-to-year. (4) The K0 star, the larger component, has brightened by $0.^m$ 14 in V, while the G2 star has shown a fluctuation of about $0.^m$05 in V. (5) The B-V values at primary mid-eclipse have no correlation with the depth variations. (6) Independently of the increase of maximum brightness, the B-V colors in the non-eclipsed phases changed slightly over the years.

  • We conduct BVRI and R band photometric observations of asteroid (5247) Krylov from January 2016 to April 2016 for 51 nights using the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet). The color indices of (5247) Krylov at the light curve maxima are determined as $B-V=0.841{\pm}0.035$, $V-R=0.418{\pm}0.031$, and $V-I=0.871{\pm}0.031$ where the phase angle is $14.1^{\circ}$. They are acquired after the standardization of BVRI instrumental measurements using the ensemble normalization technique. Based on the color indices, (5247) Krylov is classified as a S-type asteroid. Double periods, that is, a primary period $P_1=82.188{\pm}0.013h$ and a secondary period $P_2=67.13{\pm}0.20h$ are identified from period searches of its R band light curve. The light curve phases with $P_1$ and this indicate that it is a typical Non-Principal Axis (NPA) asteroid. We discuss the possible causes of its NPA rotation.

  • We performed CCD photometric observations of the eclipsing binary Y Cam with a pulsating component, for 16 nights from November 2000 to May 2001 using a V filter attached to the 61-cm reflector at Sobaeksan Optical Astronomy Observatory. Our V light curve and Broglia & Marin's (1974) BV ones were analyzed with Mode 2 for a detached Roche model as well as Model 5 for a semi-detached one in the Wilson-Devinney code. From the analysis, we found the following results: 1) It is hardly discernible from only light curve synthesis which model between the detached and semi-detached ones is a real Roche model of Y Cam. 2) There exist the third light of about 2% and 3% in B and V light curves of Y Cam, respectively. 3) The light curve solution is immune from the light variation due to the pulsation of the primary component of Y cam. However, the detached model rather than the semi-detached one has slightly better fitted to the observations which were get rid of the pulsation effect. 4) The absolute dimensions of Y Cam were calculated for two Roche models.

  • The long-term observational properties of the photometric behaviors of the short period(p=0.48 day) eclipsing binary system XY UMa are discussed. They are based on the UBV observatins, which were carried out by Geyer in the yaers 1955-1961, 1968, 1975-1984. Light curves of XY UMa revealed very large changes not only between consecutive observing nights, but also from season to season. Between 1955 and 1984, the mean system brightness increased about 30% during this time interfvals, meanwhile, the orbital period of this system was constant whithin 1.6% of its period. The colour index curve shows similar variations like the light curve but with a phase offset oscillation around the time instants of the primary minama. Observational evidence for photospheric and chromospheric activities on the XY Uma are also discussed.

  • Tilting train can pass curve at higher speed without affecting passenger comfort by tilting Carbody. But the centrifugal force proportional to square of velocity increases the track lateral force. This is the one of the problems to be solved when applying tilting train. The one countermeasure we selected the light weight design by applying distributed traction EMU system and light weight materials such as FRP. The other countermeasure was to adopt steering bogie concept in order to reduce the guiding force on Curve track. This paper describes the design study of self steering mechanism applied to the Bogie for 180 km/h Korean Tilting Train(TTX), which was done as a part of the Korean National R&D project.

  • Trends of Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) luminosities with the properties of host galaxies are important to study the underlying physics for an SN progenitor system and explosion mechanism. In the YONSEI SN catalog, we have a sample of ~600 SN and host data in the wider redshift range, and two independent light-curve models, SALT2 and MLCS2k2. From this catalog, here we present that SNe Ia in low-mass, globally and locally star-forming environments are fainter than those in high-mass, globally and locally passive environments, after light-curve shape and color or extinction corrections. Our results are then compared to previous studies, and show consistent results.

  • The aggregation characteristics of red blood cells (RBCs) were measured using a newly developed light-transmission slit rheometer. Conventional methods of RBC disaggregation such as the rotational Couette system were replaced with a pressure-driven slit flow system with a vibrational mechanism. Using a vibration generator, one can disaggregate the RBC aggregates stored in the slit. While shear stress decreases exponentially, instantaneous pressure and the transmitted light intensity were measured over time. Applying an abrupt shearing flow after disaggregation caused a rapid elongation of the RBCs followed by loss of elongation with the decreasing shear stress. While the shear stress is further decreasing, the RBCs start to re-aggregate and the corresponding transmitted intensity increases with time, from which the aggregation indices can be obtained using a curve-fitting program.

  • In the present paper, we consider a position vector of an arbitrary curve in the three-dimensional Galilean space $G_3$. Furthermore, we give some conditions on the curvatures of this arbitrary curve to study special curves and their Smarandache curves. Finally, in the light of this study, some related examples of these curves are provided and plotted.
