  • Hardware and software studies strongly indicate the feasibility of commercially producing a low cost, user-friendly photovoltaic cell curve tracer. The instrument will be used in conjuntion with an IBM compatible PC. The system will show not only the parameters; Voc, Isc, FF, Iop, Vop, that the conventional VI tracer shows but also the internal parasitic resistance and the detail parameters.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광 발전 시스템의 계통연계 운전 보호 협조 알고리즘 적용 및 시험을 위해 개발되고 있는 태양광 발전용 PC의 설계 및 실험 결과에 대하여 제시하고자 한다. 태양광 발전 시스템은 태양광 에너지를 전기 에너지로 변환하여 주는 태양 전지판과 발전된 전기 에너지를 전력 계통에 연계하여 주는 전력 변환 장치(Power Conversion System)로 구성되어 있다. 개발된 PCS는 10kw 태양광 전지에서 발전된 전력을 상용 계통에 연계할 수 있도록 개발 되었으며 본 논문에서는 전체 시스템의 극성과 계통 연계 운전 결과에 대하여 제시하고자 한다. 개발된 PCS는 태양광 발전 시스템의 보호 협조 알고리즘 개발과 분산전원 시스템 관련 연구에 활용될 계획이다.

  • Based on the fact that renewable energies such as photovoltaic, wind power, etc. are increasingly used in distribution systems recently which affects overvoltage, this paper implements an unified power flow controller(UPFC) to compensate voltage swell. The implemented scheme employs an ac chopper and a low-pass filter along with a series transformer. The ac chopper converts the amplitude of the voltage down to the nominal value. The low pass filter makes the rough waveform of the output voltage of the ac chopper due to switching smoothly by eliminating harmonics. To verify the effectiveness of the implemented UPFC, the results by Electro-Magnetic Transients Program(EMTP) are presented for various overvoltage cases.

  • This paper presents a novel prototype of active voltage clamped quasi-resonant ZVS-PWM forward DC-DC converter designed for specific low voltage high current application. We establish the soft-switching forward converter with a high frequency isolated link which can efficient operate over wide load ranges under conditions of zero voltage soft-switching and active voltage clamped switching. In addition, we evaluate connection of the soft-switching forward converter with large capacitor which capacitance is over 100[F].

  • The general ways of the anti-islanding can be classified into the active method and passive method. The passive method which use only the voltage information when power failure occurs has much possibility of the wrong detection. And the active method detects the change of the voltage frequency as instantaneously changing the frequency of the inverter output current. Therefore, in this paper, the method to inject arbitrary order harmonics into controlled current is proposed. In this method islanding can be detected by measuring the amount of load voltage of injected harmonics order. And as a current control method predictive control method is used, which make actual current accurately to track reference current by Instantaneously computing converter output voltage and has fast response in transient state. This parer proposed method was verified by simulation.

  • As the maximum power operating point(MPOP) of photovoltaic(PV) power generation systems changes with changing atmospheric conditions such as solar radiation and temperature, an important consideration in the design of efficient PV system is to track the MPOP correctly. Many maximum power point tracking(MPPT) techniques have been considered in the past, however, techniques using microprocessors with appropriate MPPT algorithms are favored because of their flexibility and compatibility with different PV arrays. Although the efficiency of these MPPT algorithms is usually high, it drops noticeably in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions. This paper proposed a new MPPT algorithm based on perturb & observe(P&O) algorithm with experiment. The results shows that the new P&O algorithm has successfully tracked the MPOP, even in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions, and has higher efficiency than ordinary algorithms.

  • An interleaved operation of isolated boost converter system has become a very attractive solution in order to convert from low input voltage (30 ~ 50V) of distributed power sources such as photovoltaic and fuel cells to high output voltage (380V/760V) required in grid-connected power conversion applications. In this paper, we have proposed zero voltage transition(ZVT) interleaved boost converter using a single resonant inductor.

  • In this paper, A Digital Voltage Mode Controller is designed for the Photovoltaic power converter applications. The designed Digital Voltage Mode Controller is derived analytically from the continuous time small signal model of the boost converter. Due to the small signal model based derivations of the control law, the designed control method can be applicable to K-factor Approach method and bilinear transformation. In order to show the usefulness of a designed controller, and the simulation results are verified.

  • In the glass/TCO/p-i-n a-Si/Al type of amorphous silicon solar cell, the effects on solar cell efficiency and metastability for the various kinds of TCO analyzed by SAM and ESCA, which was used to measure the diffusion profiles of In and Sn and the Fermi energy shifts in the TCO/p interface respectively. Indium which diffused into a-Si p-layer did not have any significant effects on the Fermi level shift of p-layer when the content of $B_2H_6/SiH_4$ in p-layer was at 1 gas%. The cell fabricated on $SnO_2$ turned out to have the best cell photovoltaic characteristics. ITO fabricated by electron beam deposition system, which was shown to have the greatest rate of diffusion of Indium in ITO/p interface produced the worst metastability among the cells tested.

  • 국제적으로 해운분야 등 온실가스 배출량 규제를 강화하고 있으며, 정부에서도 '저탄소 녹색성장'을 위한 신재생 에너지 비율을 확대 추진함에 따라 육상 녹색성장을 위한 시도는 활발히 이루어지고 있으나, 친환경 에너지를 선박에 이용한 노력은 부족한 실정이다. 또한 현재까지 연구된 태양광 시스템의 경우 기존 선박의 동력을 대체하여 추진용으로 사용하기에는 실용성이 없으므로, 기존 선박 발전시스템을 연계한 태양광 하이브리드 발전시스템의 연구개발이 필요하며, 따라서 태양광을 선박용 에너지로 활용하기 위한 선박용 하이브리드 발전 시스템 개념 설계 및 설치 기준에 대하여 고찰하고자 한다.
