In this study, we analyzed the effect of the Eungam Loop Line of Seoul Subway Line 6 on the sale price of adjacent row and multi-family houses on the accessibility and structural characteristics of subway stations. This study empirically analyzed a total of 17,938 cases from 2006 to 2017 based on data on the sale price of row and multi-family houses. In summary, the results of this study using the Hedonic Price Model are as follows. First, this study confirms that the Eungam Loop Line characteristics have a positive effect on the sale price as it is adjacent to the subway station. It is noteworthy that the sale price of 100-200m segment has a positive effect, and the sale price of Bulgwang station, which has excellent mobility and connectivity with CBD, YBD and GBD, has a positive effect. Second, this study shows the locational characteristics such as distance to bus stop, distance to mart, and distance to school have influence on the sale price. Third, this study finds the land characteristics such as land area, land shape, land facing, and road width, have significant effects on the sale price. This study examined the nature of multi-cultural families' housing problems living in South Korea. A qualitative research was conducted through in-depth interviews with immigrant women from three Southeast Asian countries. The subjects of this study were 15 married immigrants from the Philippine, Cambodia, and Vietnam living in Seoul. The major findings were as follows: firstly, reciprocity for the in-between person and environment: the preferred to blend into Korean society instead of making a community based on national origin. Secondly, intention to housing: all participants were passive about moving and the Vietnamese and Cambodians placed more importance on the family community than the Filipinas. Thirdly, meaning of housing and interaction: for the most important area in the house, the Vietnamese and Cambodians stated that rooms were for a couple and treated family space more importantly than Filipinas who pursuit personal comfort. Fourthly, housing adaptation process: adapting to climate difference between home countries and Korea was the biggest difficulty. Fifthly, residential satisfaction/dissatisfaction: mostly satisfied with housing facilities; however, they were dissatisfied with the number of rooms and house size due to a necessity for personal space. In conclusion, ideas implied from native country of married immigrants in multicultural families did not change significantly in preference of the current environment. The needs for an ethnic community was not great, because they seemed able to assimilate positively by living with a Korean husband and relatives. Gradual assimilation through a cultural acculturation process can be considered desirable.
This study has extracted elements and related factors in the modernization of Hanok, using an evaluation method, and has also considered the possibilities of modern images using AHP analysis. As a result, first, the elements that form the urban landscape of historical and cultural environment have to be created by extracting elements from the subject standard for construction of the elements selected. As for the aspect of blending history, culture and environment, scenic and important architectural aspects were delineated. Second, based on selected components of the basic type of features and construction, roof types, vertical and horizontal elements were simulated after setting the criteria. Third, according to its historical cultural circumstances the man-made landscape and the traditional measure of the model, specific values of the elements for the formation of structures were evaluated by priority. A region characterized by old city houses constructed of objective elements can possibly be combined. In addition, a Hanok multi-family house fitted for modern life and a variety of models to develop and validate the possibility and utilization of this study can be expected.
The objectives of this study were 1) to analyze the attitudes about Elderly Assisted Living(EAL), 2) to consider the policy implications for elderly communal housing according to socio-economic status(income, occupation and education). The upper class respondents preferred high-rise apartment style inner city or suburban and prefered paid services in EAL. They would willingly to pay over 800,000 won for living expenses and more than 200 million won for buying their own EAL. The middle class respondents prefered 5 stories multi-family house style with common facilities as a number. And they prefered to common facilities opening to public if the quality of facilities were better. The low class respondents prefered 5 stories multi-family house style and prefered to live within 30 minutes apart from their families and friends. They would pay under 300,000~600,000won for monthly living expenses and under 100 million won for their own EAL.

Today, as proved in many foreign developed countries, the concept of 'Aging in Place' is the most desirable goal of welfare policy for an aging society. While multi-family housing is the most representative form of residence in Korea, it has not actively reflected convenient space lay-out for the elderly and barrier-free designs. As a foundation for the planning of elderly-friendly multi-family housing, this study suggested the comparative analysis of the five domestic design guidelines for elderly housing so as to apply the elderly-friendly flexibility for apartment units. In result, the most importantly treated items and factors of the silver house guidelines were analyzed, and based on which ten unit houses of domestic apartment housing were evaluated in order to find out the most barrier-like spaces and factors for the present domestic apartment housing to reflect flexibility as elderly housing. Finally, the way to resolve the problem was suggested as a conclusion.
This study is a basic investigation of the contents and services relevant to the domestic vacation house business. In which, the trade scale, types of housing, and environmental conditions of various property locations were analyzed. The characteristics of properties listed on the Japanese website that conducts the greatest volume of vacation house trade in Japan were examined, and the following results were obtained: Villa areas, villas, and resort condos (resort mansions) are the three basic types of properties handled in the vacation house trade. In this market, sales per unit in villa areas and per spaces in resort condos accounted for the highest volume of trade, followed by that of villas (individual houses). In terms of land area, floor area, and sales price per house type, the relatively cheaper small and medium-sized vacation houses are more frequently traded, than expensive large-scale villas. In particular, small multi-family type villas (such as in resort condos) are the most popular. Land and floor area, and sales prices all show considerable variation depending on the type of property considered. Therefore, a business initiative to provide a more detailed classification of properties is required. In terms of the environment of vacation properties, most are located on coasts, plateaus, or inland mountains, and are generally within three-hours' traveling distance of large cities.
The residence environment is the basis and the receptacle of daily lives and activitives. It influences on the formation of mans personality as an artificial environment. This study aims to analyze the residence environment level of the some local cities by using the Z-score method and to propose a higher residence environment. The elements of measurement in this study are determined by the general methodology. The results are as followings: 1. The residence environment level of Yeosu and Mokpo is high, that of Andong and Kyeongsan is low in this study. The ratio of road paving is the most related element in the correlation analysis. 2. The ratio of sewage supply is low compared with the scale of the dwelling area. So the sanitation environment should be improved. 3. In this correlation analysis on the residence pattern, the ratio of a single detached house is more positive than that of a multi-family house. So the single detached house pattern will be desirable in the residence environment.
