Since mid-1990, the global trade environments has been rapidly changing in many sectors due to the advancement of information technology. Of which an international trade e-Marketplace is one that has been playing a crucial role. The international trade e-Marketplace has the potential to accelerate existing trends and new ways of conducting trade. Nevertheless, e-Marketplace seems to have not been facilitated because many traders do not fully understand about performance, relevant sites and so on. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out a plan for an active use of it by Korean export and import firms and provide a number of policy suggestions that it can make best use of.

The previous studies regarding the stock returns have advocated that industry effects exist over entire industry. As the industry categories are more rigid, the demand for predicting the industry sectors is rapidly increasing. The advances in Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks suggest the feasibility of a valuable computational model for stock returns prediction. We propose a sector-factor model for predicting the return on industry stock index using neural networks. As a substitute for the traditional models, neural network model may be more accurate and effective alternative when the dynamics between the underlying industry features are not well known or when the industry specific asset pricing equation cannot be solved analytically. To assess the potential value of neural network model, we simulate the resulting network and show that the proposed model can be used successfully for banks and general construction industry. For comparison, we estimate models using traditional statistical method of multiple regression. To illustrate the practical relevance of neural network model, we apply it to the predictions of two industry stock indexes from 1980 to 1995.

Recently, Korean government demands that public sectors like railway construction should improve their management efficiency. It is necessary for railway construction supported by government budget to aim at the companywide management efficiency. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is known as integrated performance management framework that helps a company to translate strategic objective info relevant performance within an organization. This paper focuses on relationship between KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) used to measure the performance of railway construction industry and process KPT for BPM (Business Process Management). Also, the vision and strategies of the railway construction is introduced, and the CSFs (Critical Success Factors) and the KPI based on BSC is developed. Finally, this paper explores that there is a possibility to fulfill the strategic objectives of railway construction industry through the connectivity between KPI based on BSC and process KPI based on BPM. We explain the detailed procedures with an example of railway construction industry.

Recently, distribution load analysis using AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) data is researched in electric utilities. Load analysis method based on AMR system generates the typical load profile using load data of AMR customers, estimates the load profile of non-AMR customers, and analyzes the peak load and load profile of the distribution circuits and sectors per every 15 minutes/hour/day/week/month. Typical load profile is generated by the algorithm calculating the average amount of power consumption of each groups having similar load patterns. Traditional customer clustering mechanism uses only contract type code as a key. This mechanism has low accuracy because many customers having same contract code have different load patterns. In this research, We propose a customer clustring mechanism using k-means algorithm with contract type code and AMR data.

Empirical studies have shown that government and human service nonprofit organizations have maintained active partnerships to deliver human services for the past several decades. However, the previous researches on resource dependent government-nonprofit service delivery have revealed serious methodological limitations to adequately demonstrate the dynamic relationship between both sectors over time. Since the dynamics underlying the government-nonprofit service delivery is a complex process, in which multiple factors dynamically interact over time, the assumptions of system dynamics can help improve these methodological drawbacks. This study aims to explore methodological issues and weaknesses observed in empirical studies on resource dependent government-nonprofit service delivery in the United States, and further attempts to provide insights on future research toward a dynamic approach, bringing the assumptions of system dynamics to the challenges of the previous researches.

Communications is becoming a vital sector to lead Information Society in the nearfuture. In that sense the price system of its services is now being discussed seriously among the people who are directly and indirectly related to communications development. Input-Output analysis model developed by W. Leontief in early 1930's is a very useful tool to measure the price linkage effects in the national economy, which would be induced from the shift of a certain sector's price. 1980's I-0 table with 19 sectors is rear-ranged and applied to price analysis model, in which communications is treated as a exogenous sector, to see the price impacts generated from a change of telephone rate. With the results of this study, the authorities concerned with price policy can make their decisions more reasonable.

As the European Union has strengthened and computerized signalling systems have been widely used, the European common standards for the safety of railway signalling systems such as EN 50126, EN 50128, ENV 50129, EN 50159 began to be published from 1996 in CENELEC. At that time, a safety guideline, 'Safety Guidelines for Computerized Train Control and Protection Systems' was published in Japan. The Korean National Railroad also published a safety recommendation for the train control systems with taking into account the Korean railway conditions. Now the preparations for IEC/TC9 Standards are well underway and these standards correspond to CENELEC Standards referred above. These movements and activities are to cope with many technical and operational changes and to reflect the globalization trend of railway sectors along with the computerization of signalling devices. In this connection, this paper studies the globaliztion trend in the safety standards for railway signalling systems and discusses the counterplans for the trend.

During the last decade, the business infrastructure has become digital with increased interconnections among products, processes, and services. Across many firms spanning different industries and sectors, digital technologies are fundanmentally transforming business stratiges, business processes, firm capabilities, productes and services, and key interfirm relationships in extended business networks. With the emergence of smartphones, the paradigm of the ICT industry is rapidly changing as the line between global and local markets are being blurred. In the changing global environment, although some game companies are accelerating the improvement of their global competitiveness and cases of successes of venture enterprises by developing biosimilar technology are being discovered, majority of ICT companies are focusing on limited marketing activities to get subcontracts or projects from large companies. Thus the aim of this study is to find out how digital ecosystems evolve and how business models and strategies have changed of individual companies according to the evolution of the digital ecosystems.

Until now, there were many BCMS case studies in financial sector based on best practices in BCP(Business Continuity Planning). However, the research on the standardized continuity management system framework that practically applicable to the private and public sectors-based national infrastructure and facilities management are relatively scarce. Therefore, in this study, we research to seek the continuity management system framework suitable for the private or public sector-based facility management through the comparison reviews of domestic and international continuity management system frameworks and the reviews of continuity management components considering the characteristic of the private or public sector-based facility management.

This paper presents free vibration analysis method using the characteristics of the rotationally periodic structures and includes the analysis results of a tire as an example. The normal modes of the rotationally periodic structures are the kind of standing waves, so all sectors have the same deflection shapes, and only different phases. This property makes it possible to derive the analysis method called sector method. The sector method can give the accurate natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes of the rotationally periodic structure with information of only one sector. When the free vibration analysis is performed to find the dynamic characteristics of the rotationally periodic structure by using the sector method, the computer memory spaces and the CPU times can be saved. We obtained much economic benefits by using the sector method in the analysis of dynamic characteristics of a tire made of non-linear materials.
