The Effect of Obesity Stress on Sociality in Elementary School Students (초등학교 고학년 학생의 비만스트레스가 사회성에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: Few studies have attempted to explain the childhood's sociality issue in Korea. This study was conducted to investigate the association between obesity stress and sociality factors. Methods : The study subjects were 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students from the elementary schools in Kwangju, Anyang, and Hwasung city. The cross sectional study was carried out through the self-reported questionnaire survey about obesity stress, sociality, and socio-demographic characteristics. The data was analyzed by multiple regression analysis using SPSS 12.0 version. Results : Overall, the findings of this study were consistent with previous studies. The measures of obesity stress showed significant negative relationships with measures of childhood sociality. Specifically, the association between mental stress from obesity and socialization was more higher than other variables. In addition, multiple regression analysis found that the effect of mental stress from obesity on childhood sociality was more higher than the effect of stress from physical discomfort and the effort to overcome the obesity stress. Conclusion : Findings provide evidence for the notion that the measures of obesity stress is significantly associated with childhood sociality.

  • This paper is concerned with a particular fracture mechanics parameter ${\Delta}K_{th}$, known as the 'threshold stress intensity range', or 'fatigue threshold'. This threshold ${\Delta}K_{th}$ constitutes, as it were, a hinge between the notion of crack initiation and the notion of crack growth. It has often been thought that, like the endurance limit, it could be an intrinsic criterion of the material. The study was conducted on a SA-508 pressure vessel steel used in the nuclear power industry. This material exhibits a typical threshold effect in the range of the crack growth rates which were determined; that is, below approximately $da/dN=10^{-6}mm/cycle$, the slope of the da./dN versus ${\Delta}K$ curve is almost vertical. The value of ${\Delta}K_{th}$ was determined at a growth rate of $10^{-7}$ mm/cycle according to the ASTM Standard for threshold testing. The fatigue threshold values are in the range 21 $kg/mm^{3/2}$ to 12 $kg/mm^{3/2}$ depending on the stress ratio effect.

Research for Selecting The Optimized Vitamin C Analysis Method (최적 비타민 C 분석법 선정에 관한 연구)

  • 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazine (DHP), indophenol, and HPLC methods, which are generally used to analyze vitamin C, were evaluated by comparing changes in vitamin C contents in various samples kept at 10 and $20^{\circ}C$. Amount of total ascorbic acid (TAA) in yoghurt A kept at $10^{\circ}C$, as measured by DNP method, decreased from 26.7mg/100mL for early period to 22.8mg/100mL for final period of storage, whereas, on 3rd and 10th storage days, increased contrary to general results. Using indophenol, TAA measured at 28.6 and 9.5mg/100mL, and 30.5 and 14.6mg/100mL using HPLC far early and final periods, respectively. With indophenol and HPLC, TAA amount showed steady tendency to decrease. In conclusion, HPLC is the most suitable method to analyze vitamin C content, and indophenol method can be also used during early storage stage.

Study on the Effects of Flip Learning-based Simulation Education on the Learning Flow, Learning Confidence, Communication Skills, and Clinical Competence of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 학습몰입, 학습자신감, 의사소통능력과 임상수행능력에 대한 플립러닝 기반 시뮬레이션 교육 효과에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effects of flip learning-based simulation practice education on the learning flow, learning confidence, communication skills, and clinical competence ability of nursing student. This study used a one group, pre-post test design. We collected the data from 65 4th grade nursing students. Flip learning-based simulation practice education was conducted from March 5th to April 17th, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The result of study were follows. After the flip learning-based simulation practice education, there were significant increased in learning flow(t=-7.548, p<.001), learning confidence(t=-9.163, p<.001), communication skills(t=-6.506, p<.001) and clinical competence(t=-6.733, p<.001). After the flip learning-based simulation practice, clinical performance was found to be positively correlated with learning flow(r=.627, p<.001), learning confidence(r=.513, p<.001) and communication skills(r=.328, p<.008). learning flow and learning confidence(r=.528, p<.001), communication skills and learning flow(r=.332, p<.007) also showed a positive correlation. Therefore, flip learning-based simulation practice education for nursing student could be effective nursing education method.

Hand Sizing Study for Development of Firefighting Gloves (소방공무원의 장갑제작을 위한 손 치수 연구)

  • This study measured and analyzed male firefighters hand sizes as well as suggested data for developing firefighting gloves with a good fit. Accordingly, body dimensions related to the hand were measured for 100 male firefighters. Twenty-three measuring items related to the hand and lower arm were selected. The firefighters' measurement data were compared to general adult male measurements from the 6th Korean Anthropometric data to analyze the hand sizes characteristics of firefighters. As a result, height, hand circumference, hand breadth, wrist circumference, elbow-wrist length, forearm-fingertip length and firefighter weight were significantly larger than adult males. A correlation analysis for 23 items was conducted to select items used as standards for setting a size when manufacturing firefighting gloves. Hand length and circumference were selected as representative hand parts for making firefighting gloves. Cross analysis between hand length and circumference were conducted to find the section showing the highest distribution ratio. As a result, the highest sections were between 19cm and 21cm for hand circumference and between 18.5cm and 19.5cm for hand length, which may be suggested as the most important ranges.

  • In Hwaseong, South Korea, it is necessary to vitalize local festival by attracting local residents and tourists since 'Hwaseong Songsan Grape Festival' should be in the direction to help the influx of tourists and cultural development for the local residents. It has been known that the quality and readiness of festival affects visitor satisfaction and actual visit. However, there have been only a few studies to examine the effect of local festival on post-behavior. Hence, this study, focusing on 'Hwaseong Songsan Grape Festival'which is a representative cultural tourism festival in the region of Hwaseong, South Korea, aims to understand the visitor's post-behavior intention in terms of revisit intention and recommendation intention. The results suggest that the impact of experiential, purchase visit motivation on post-behavior were smaller than deviant, social, interest, and cultural visit motivation. It also showed that visitor satisfaction leads to revisit intention and at the same time recommendation intention. Based on the result, we suggest practical implication for the success of local festival including 'Hwaseong Songsan Grape Festival'.

  • Qi Baishi is a prolific master of modern Chinese painting in the 20th century and a profound influence on modern Chinese painting. With a lifetime of diligence and pursuit, he brought the development of traditional Chinese literati painting to the palace of world art. Qi Baishi's paintings have very different styles and rich connotations. There is a childlike "Plantain Crowd", which is childish but full of interest. There is also a simple and old-fashioned "Peony" in the late years, vigorous and powerful, moving heartstrings. There is also the irony of the present world, refuting the ugly "Tumbler", which is thought-provoking. Of course, the most worthy of study is Qi Baishi's landscape paintings. His landscape paintings surpassed their era and have unique historical value in the transformation of modern Chinese landscape painting. He was one of the pioneers of the transformation of Chinese landscape painting in the 20th century. In this article, through the research and collation of Qi Baishi's landscape paintings, the characteristics of Qi Baishi's landscape paintings and their surpassing of the times are discovered.

  • This study aims to investigate the determinants that can influence customer satisfaction and loyalty. Compared to some of the determinants that have been investigated by other scholars before, this study also includes a new approach to mobile food-ordering that has only appeared within the Chinese fast-food industry in recent years. It is very important to test if the convenience of mobile ordering services can influence customer satisfaction, as more and more customers are using mobile apps to order food, especially in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era. Research data mostly was collected from customers who visited one of five famous Western fast-food restaurants (KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Burger King) in China. The results show that not only price, service quality, food quality, and the physical environment can significantly affect customer satisfaction but also the convenience of mobile ordering services, a new determinant accompanied by the fast development of IoT technology.

  • As the 4th Industrial Revolution emerged as a key to improving national competitiveness, OCR technology, one of the major technologies in the 4th industry is in the spotlight. Since characters in various images contain a lot of information, OCR technology for recognizing these characters has evolved into technology used in many industries. In this paper, trends in OCR technology were identified and predicted using thesis data published in 'RISS' and patent data by International patent classification (IPC) under the theme of Optical character recognition (OCR). For patent data 20,000 patents related to OCR technology from 2002 to 2020 were used as data, and 432 papers from 2012 to 2022 were used as data. Through time-series analysis, each patent data and thesis data were investigated since when OCR technology has developed, and various keyword analysis predicted which technology will be used in the future. Finally, the direction of future OCR technology development was presented through network association analysis with patent data and thesis data.
