  • Performance of domestic glass fabrics was tested in a Pulse- jet cleaned fabric filter under simulated coal combustion. Pulse Pressure were 2.5, 4.0kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and pulse air nozzle diameter were 4.0, 6.0mm Pressure drop and penetration turned out to be low at small pulse air nozzle diameter and low pulse air pressure. Fractional penetration through the dust cake and fabric at face velocity of 1.7m/min was higher than that at face velocity of 1.0m/min. As a consequense, the performance of domestic glass fabrics was better with face velocity of less than 1.0m/min, pulse air pressure of 2.5 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and pusle air nozzle diameter of 4.0mm.

조명 조건에 강건한 스마트폰 카메라 맥박 측정을 위한 다이내믹 레인지 재구성 알고리즘 (Dynamic Range Reconstruction Algorithm for Smart Phone Camera Pulse Measurement Robust to Light Condition)

  • Recently, handy pulse measurement method was introduced by using smart phone camera. However, measured values are not consistent with the variations of external light conditions, because the external light interfere with dynamic range of captured pulse image. Thus, adaptive dynamic range reconstruction algorithm is proposed to conduct pulse measurement robust to light condition. The minimum and maximum values for dynamic ranges of green and blue channels are adjusted to appropriate values for pulse measurement. In addition, sigmoid function based curve is applied to adjusted dynamic range. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm conducts suitably dynamic range reconstruction of pulse image for the interference of external light sources.

  • This paper presents a new method for estimating the block pulse series coefficients by using the Lagrange's second order interpolation polynomial. Block pulse functions have been used in a variety of fields such as the analysis and controller design of the systems. When the block pulse functions are used, it is necessary to find the more exact value of the block pulse series coefficients. But these coefficients have been estimated by the mean of the adjacent discrete values, and the result is not sufficient when the values are changing extremely. In this paper, the method for improving the accuracy of the block pulse series coefficients by using the Lagrange's second order interpolation polynomial is presented.

  • The discharge characteristics of the face-to-face sustain electrode structure employing auxiliary address pulse are investigated under a sustain driving frequency of 20 kHz and various auxiliary address pulse widths (500 ns, $1{\mu}s$, $2\;{\mu}s$) in the 6-in. test panel (42-in. Full HD grade) with a pressure of 450 Torr and a 4 % Xe-content. The luminance and the luminous efficiency at the auxiliary address pulse width of 500 ns are improved more than these of $1\;{\mu}s$ and $2\;{\mu}s$. At the auxiliary address pulse width of 500 ns, the luminous efficiency shows about 0.96 lm/W at the auxiliary pulse of 90 V and the sustain voltage of 260 V.

출력전류의 고조파 저감을 위한 24펄스 전류형 인버어터 (24 Pulse Current Source Inverter For Reducing the Harmonics in Output Currents)

  • A 24 pulse current source inverter for reducing the harmonics in output currents is presented in this paper. The proposed system operates a 24 pulse inverter by adding only tap changing circuit which consists of several taps and static switching elements to the 12 pulse inverter, which is the double connected 3 phase 6 pulse inverter with an auto transfomer. Also to optimize the effectiveness of the harmonic reduction, the optimum turn ratio and tap changing control angle of auto transfomer are decided by digital simulation and its validity is verified with experiment. And under the optimum condition, it is clarified that the harmonics components involved in the output current of the proposed inverter are nearly equal to those of the conventional 24 pulse inverter.

Nonequilibrium Heat Transfer Characteristics During Ultrafast Pulse Laser Heating of a Silicon Microstructure

  • This work provides the fundamental knowledge of energy transport characteristics during very short-pulse laser heating of semiconductors from a microscopic viewpoint. Based on the self-consistent hydrodynamic equations, in-situ interactions between carriers, optical phonons, and acoustic phonons are simulated to figure out energy transport mechanism during ultrafast pulse laser heating of a silicon substrate through the detailed information on the time and spatial evolutions of each temperature for carriers, longitudinal optical (LO) phonons, acoustic phonons. It is found that nonequilibrium between LO phonons and acoustic phonons should be considered for ultrafast pulse laser heating problem, two-peak structures become apparently present for the subpicosecond pulses because of the Auger heating. A substantial increase in carrier temperature is observed for lasers with a few picosecond pulse duration, whereas the temperature rise of acoustic and phonon temperatures is relatively small with decreasing laser pulse widths. A slight lagging behavior is observed due to the differences in relaxation times and heat capacities between two different phonons. Moreover, the laser fluence has a significant effect on the decaying rate of the Auger recombination.

  • The study relates to achievement and analysis of 3-dimensional spatial pulse wave archived by a spatially arterial pulse diagnostic apparatus (SAPDA), wherein a pulse sensing part array consists of multiple hall devices and is located over a skin contacting part which consists of a magnetic material. When a radially arterial pulse is transferred to the magnetic material, which is contacted skin that results in changes in a magnetic field of the lower part of the pulse sensing part array, the changes in a magnetic field can be detected by the commercial Hall semiconductor device of the pulse sensing part array. Finally, according to development of SAPDA, the 3-dimensionally arterial pulse waveform can be measured noninvasively by detecting the changes of the magnetic field.

음식섭취에 따른 좌우(左右) 촌관척(寸關尺) 6부위 맥파의 주파수 분석 (A Study on the Effect of Food Intake on Radial Pulse using Fourier Analysis)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of food intake on the Fourier components of radial pulse wave. Methods: Thirty-one healthy male subjects participated in this study. Radial pulse was measured using 3 dimensional pulse imaging system (DMP-3000) before, right after, 40 minutes after, 80 minutes after and 120 minutes after food intake. Fourier transform was performed and the frequency and amplitude of Fourier components were analyzed. Results: 1. The frequency and the amplitude of Fourier components of radial pulse wave increased significantly after food intake. 2. The frequency of Fourier components increased right after food intake and then gradually decreased as time passed, however the amplitude of Fourier components increased and maintained certain levels and patterns throughout the experimental period of 120 minutes. 3. The change ratios of the frequency and the amplitude of Fourier components after food intake varied with the pulse measuring locations. Conclusions: Food intake exerts an influence on radial pulse wave, resulting in increase of frequency and amplitude of Fourier components. The change ratios of the frequency and the amplitude of Fourier components after food intake varied with the pulse measuring locations.

Voltage dependent pulse shape analysis of Geiger-Müller counter

  • Detailed pulse shape analysis of a Geiger-$M{\ddot{u}}ller$ counter is performed to understand the pulse shape dependence on operating voltage. New data is presented to demonstrate that not all pulses generated in a GM counter are identical. In fact, there is a strong correlation between the operating voltage and the pulse shape. Similar to detector deadtime, pulse shapes fall in three distinct regions. For low voltage region, where deadtime was reported to reduce with increasing voltage, pulse generated in this region was observed to have a fixed pulse width with a variable tail. The pulse width and fall time of the tail was observed to be a function of applied voltage; exponentially reducing with increasing voltage with an exponent of negative 6E-04 and 2E-03 respectively. The second region showed a pulse without any significant tail. During this time the detector deadtime was earlier reported to be at its minimum. The highest voltage region demonstrated a different deadtime mechanism where the second pulse was reduced in width. During this time the deadtime seemed to be increasing with increasing voltage. This data allows us to gain some unique insight into the phenomenon of GM detector deadtime not reported thus far.

단공진기 색소레이저의 펄스폭 연속가변 특성 (Continuous variation characteristics of pulse width in short cavity dye laser)

  • 이완발진 현상을 이용하는 단공진기 색소레이저(QDL:quenched dye laser)는 극단펄스 광원으로서 많은 장점을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는 파장 590nm에서 발진 스펙트럼의 최대값을 갖는 Rhodamine 6G를 레이저 매질로 하고, 파장 308nm의 XeCl 레이저를 펌핑원으로 하여, 이득의 길이가 5mm인 QDL의 이완발진에 의한 극단펄스 발생특성을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해 분석하였다. 분석결과, 펌핑광의 펄스폭에 대하여 QDL 출력빔은 1/100 이하로 그 펄스폭이 짧아짐을 밝혀 QDL 이 극단펄스 발생용으로 매우 유용한 레이저임을 밝혔으며, 펌핑광의 공간적 크기를 조절함에 의하여 출력 펄스폭의 연속적인 가변동작이 가능함을 제시하였다.
