We have demonstrated a sandwich-type ZnO-based piezoelectric energy harvesting nanogenerator, namely ZCZ-NG device, composed of symmetrically stacked layers of ZnO/carbon tape/ZnO structure. Especially, we have adopted a conductive double-sided adhesive carbon tape in an effort to fabricate a high-quality ZCZ-NG device, leading to its superior output performance in terms of the peak-to-peak output voltage. Effects of the device size, ZnO layer thickness, and bending strain rate on the device performance have been investigated by measuring the output voltage. Moreover, to evaluate the effectiveness of the fabricated ZCZ-NG devices, we have experimentally implemented a sensor network testbed which can utilize the output voltages of ZCZ-NG devices. This sensor network testbed consists of several components such as Arduino-based transmitter and receiver nodes, wirelessly transmitting the sensed information of each node. We hope that this research combining the ZnO-based energy harvesting devices and IoT sensor networks will contribute to the development of more advanced energy harvester-driven IoT sensor networks in the future.

The earthwork is a core process of all constructions, and compaction measurement of earthwork play an important role in improving productivity. The analog tests such as Plate Bearing Test and Sand-cone occupy current compaction measurement techniques. Due to advanced 4th Industrial Revolution, research on analog tests combined smart construction technology are actively conducted. DCPT (Dynamic Cone penetration Test), simpler and faster than conventional tests, has recently on rise. However, it is also an analog that measures data manually and has several disadvantages such as history management and data verification. The IoT-based DCPT system developed in this study combines digital wire sensors, mobile phones, and Bluetooth with conventional DCPT. Compare to conventional test methods, IoT-based DCPT has advantages such as performance time, single-person measurement, low cost, mobile-based management, and real-time data verification. In addition, a test bed was built to verify IoT-based DCPT. The test bed was built under similar conditions to the actual earthworks site through roller equipment. DCPT data obtained from 322 stations. As a result, IoT-based DCPT showed good performance, and the test bed was also showed stable results as the compaction was carried out.

This study deals with the technology Convergence Analysis by IPC Code-Based Social Network Analysis of Healthcare Patents filed in Korea. The relationship between core technologies is visualized using Social Network Analysis. At the subclass level of healthcare patents, 1,155 cases (49.4%) of patents with complex IPC codes were investigated, and as a result of Social Network Analysis on them, the IPC codes with the highest Degree Centrality were A61B, G16H, and G06Q, in that order. The IPC codes with the highest Betweenness Centrality are in the order of A61B, G16H, and G06Q. In addition, it was confirmed that healthcare patents consist of two large technology clusters. Cluster-1 corresponds to related business models centered on A61B, G16H and G06Q, and Cluster-2 is consisting of H04L, H04W and H04B. The technology convergence core pairs of the healthcare patent is [G16H-A61B] and [G16H-G06Q] in Cluster-1, and [H04L-H04W] in Cluster-2. The results of this study can contribute to the development of core technologies for healthcare patents.

After industrialization in the past, the automobile industry has continued to grow centered on internal combustion engines, but is facing a major change with the recent 4th industrial revolution. Most companies are preparing for the transition to electric vehicles and autonomous driving. Therefore, in this study, topic modeling was performed based on LDA algorithm by collecting 4,002 domestic papers and 68,372 overseas papers that contain keywords related to CASE (Connectivity, Autonomous, Sharing, Electrification), which represent future automobile trends. As a result of the analysis, it was found that domestic research mainly focuses on macroscopic aspects such as traffic infrastructure, urban traffic efficiency, and traffic policy. Through this, the government's technical support for MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) is required in the domestic shared car sector, and the need for data opening by means of transportation was presented. It is judged that these analysis results can be used as basic data for the future automobile industry.

The paradigm of military operations has evolved from platform-centric warfare to network-centric warfare and further to information-centric warfare, driven by advancements in information technology. In recent years, with the development of cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT), military operations are transitioning towards knowledge-centric warfare (KCW), based on artificial intelligence. Consequently, the military places significant emphasis on integrating advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) to establish reliable C4I (Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence) systems. This research emphasizes the need to apply data mining techniques to analyze and evaluate various aspects of C4I systems, including enhancing combat capabilities, optimizing utilization in network-based environments, efficiently distributing information flow, facilitating smooth communication, and effectively implementing knowledge sharing. Data mining serves as a fundamental technology in modern big data analysis, and this study utilizes it to analyze real-world cases and propose practical strategies to maximize the efficiency of military command and control systems. The research outcomes are expected to provide valuable insights into the performance of C4I systems and reinforce knowledge-centric warfare in contemporary military operations.

Digital-twin technology is emerging as an innovative solution for all industries, including manufacturing and production lines. Therefore, this paper optimizes all the energy used in a biomass plant based on unused resources. We will then implement a digital-twin prototype for biomass plants and evaluate its performance in order to improve the efficiency of plant operations. The proposed digital-twin prototype applies a standard communication platform between the framework and the gateway and is implemented to enable real-time collaboration. and, define the message sequence between the client server and the gateway. Therefore, an interface is implemented to enable communication with the host server. In order to verify the performance of the proposed prototype, we set up a virtual environment to collect data from the server and perform a data collection evaluation. As a result, it was confirmed that the proposed framework can contribute to energy optimization and improvement of operational efficiency when applied to biomass plants.
In this paper, we introduce the PB/MC-CDMA (Partial Block/Multi-Carrier-Code Division Multiple Access) system to mitigate inter-cell interference (ICI) and enhance user capacity in the small cell environment. In 5G mobile communications, the number of devices connected to the network is expected to increase exponentially with the expansion of the IoT (Internet of Things) services. In addition, each device is expected to be required by the various data rates by their content types. In LTE/LTE-A, there are some limitations that large scale connectivity and supporting various data rates. Therefore, we introduce a PB/MC-CDMA physical layer system which is suitable for the small cell environment, and evaluate the performance in the multi cell environment which is affected by ICI. Through computer simulation results, we demonstrate the effectiveness of PB/MC-CDMA for the small cell environment.

A Smart Building, one that uses automated processes to control its operations, refers in this study to one that uses both Internet of Things (IoT) devices and cloud services software. Cloud service providers (e.g. Amazon, Google, and Microsoft) have recently providedIoT cloud platform application services on IoT devices. According to Postscapes, there are now 152 IoT cloud platforms. Choosing one for a smart building is challenging. We selected Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and Amazon's AWS (Amazon Web Services) IoT. The two platforms were evaluated and selected from a smart building perspective. Each prototype was evaluated on two different IoTplatforms, assuming a typical smart building scenario. The selection was based on information and experience gained from developing the prototype system using the IoT cloud platform. The assessment made in this evaluation may be used to select an IoTcloud platform for smart buildings in the future.
