  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the importance of the 4th industrial revolution technology is increasing in the service industry. The purpose of this study is to identify the development and utilization status of the 4th industrial revolution technology in the service industry and to derive the characteristics and implications of the 4th industrial revolution technology innovation in the service industry. In this study, research and analysis were conducted based on the business activity survey data in order to identify the technological innovation characteristics of the 4th industrial revolution in the service industry. The 4th industrial revolution technology in the service industry was analyzed in terms of company ratio, technology development and utilization rate, development/utilization technology, technology application field, and technology development method. In addition, the trend of the 4th industrial revolution technology change in the service industry was also analyzed. The 4th industrial revolution technology utilization and development status of other industries was compared and analyzed. In particular, the service industry 4th industrial revolution technology innovation type was divided into 4 types from the perspective of the 4th industrial revolution company ratio and the 4th industrial revolution company ratio growth rate, and types for each service industry were derived. The characteristics and implications of the 4th industrial revolution technology innovation in the service industry were presented from nine perspectives. As a result of the study, it was found that companies in the service industry were developing or using 4th industrial revolution technologies more actively than companies in other industries, and it was analyzed that the gap was further widening. By service industry, information and communication, finance and insurance, and educational service showed relatively high rates of developing or utilizing 4th industrial revolution technologies. The service industries in which the share of 4th industrial revolution companies increased the most were real estate, education service, health and social welfare service. In particular, cloud, big data, and artificial intelligence were analyzed as the three core technologies of the fourth industrial revolution. The service industry can be classified into 4 types in terms of the 4th industrial revolution company ratio and growth rate, and service industry innovation measures that reflect the differentiated innovation characteristics of each type are needed.

  • With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, there is a rising interest in the impact of these changes on Korea's trade. While the previous studies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution are very limited in the field of trade research, this study attempts an empirical analysis regarding the effect of the use of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology on the performance of exporters, based on the data of the Survey of Business Activities during 2017-2019 by the Korean government statistical office. Through the empirical analysis in combination with the propensity score matching (PSM) and the difference-in-difference (DID) analysis, this research confirms that the use of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology has a positive effect on the export performance of Korean exporters.

Our goals is to examine the 6th industrialization of agriculture, and then to apply the technology of the 4th industrial revolution to the 6th industrialization of agriculture, suggesting the possibility of future agriculture, and then linking the export competitiveness of agricultural products. Research design, data, and methodology - As the methodology, case studies and empirical analyzes were conducted as well as literature studies. The case analyses included tomatoes, pig breeding farms, and an empirical analysis was conducted using the AHP analysis by experts of the 6th industrialization. In addition, using 124 survey data, this study examined and analyzed the items of the 4th industrial revolution technology for the 6th industrialization of agriculture and the strengthening of export competitiveness. Results - Results showed that the technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution helped "6th industrialization of agriculture" and "the strengthening of export competitiveness" using two successful cases. The AHP analysis was also carried out, and it was found that the improvement of the technology in the 4th industrial revolution could contribute to the future industrialization as well as the 6th industrialization of agriculture. First of all, we looked many conditions were important and urgent. Among the technologies of the 4th industrial revolution, the mobile, big data were important. Moreover, it was recognized that linkage and convergence related efforts would greatly contribute to strengthening export competitiveness of agriculture such as price and quality competitiveness. Conclusions - The 4th industrial revolution such as hyper-connectivity, hyper-intelligence and hyper-predictability contribute greatly to the 6th industrialization of agriculture, and therefore it is essential to improve the competitiveness of the agricultural sector by using the technology of the 4th industrial revolution. In particular, based on analyses of the diamond model, the "demand conditions" was the most important factor for the activation of the 6th Industrialization, and then "related and supporting fields", "factor conditions" and "business context" were followed in order. The results of this study can be useful for policy, practical and academic sectors.

It also intends to identify the direction of university education by investigating the perception of university students majoring in dental laboratory technology about the latest technology used in this era. Methods: The study recruited 240 college students majoring in dental laboratory technology at K and D universities in Gangwon-do and Daejeon, respectively. Online and face-to-face surveys were conducted from March 20, 2022 to April 10, 2022. Results: Although their interest in the use of emerging technologies during the 4th Industrial Revolution was above average 3.85, the dental laboratory technology students exhibited relatively high levels of anxiety 3.19 and reluctance 2.96. Second, their interest in emerging technologies demonstrated positive correlations with major satisfaction and understanding of concepts and readiness, whereas reluctance and anxiety pointed to negative correlations with understanding of the concepts of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Conclusion: Formulating guidelines is necessary to help students increase their understanding of the 4th Industrial Revolution and prepare them appropriately by setting an educational direction that can flexibly respond to the rapidly changing industrial environment.
