A study was conducted on the effects of ploughing on physiological responses of male and female Bali-cattle. A $2{\times}2{\times}6{\times}8$ factorial design (2 seasons, 2 sexes, 6 days and 8 consecutive time of measurements every 30 minutes) was employed. Responses during the cool/humid season were lower than hot/dry; respiration rate (RR) was 52 vs 75/min, rectal temperature(RT) was 39.1 vs $39.5^{\circ}C$ and skin temperature (ST) was 37.1 vs $37.6^{\circ}C$. Within sexes, males were less tolerant than females in that their RR (66 vs 61 breath/min), RT (39.4 vs $39.2^{\circ}C$) and ST (37.6 vs $37.1^{\circ}C$) were each higher than females during work. With increasing time, during the average 2.5 h working period gradual increases in RR, RT and ST were recorded and the overall increases of 84 breath/min, $1.9^{\circ}C$ and $13.8^{\circ}C$ respectively (p < 0.001). Packed cell volume (PCV) data indicated significant difference between sexes, time and season (p < 0.001, p < 0.05 and p < 0.001 respectively). Within time (before and after 2.5 h working) the PCV decreased from 27.4 to 25.6%.
An Adaptive Random Testing(ART) is one of test case generation algorithms, which was designed to get better performance in terms of fault-detection capability than that of Random Testing(RT) algorithm by locating test cases in evenly spreaded area. Two ART algorithms, such as Distance-based ART(D-ART) and Restricted Random Testing(RRT), had been indicated that they have significant drawbacks in computations, i.e., consuming quadratic order of runtime. To reduce the amount of computations of D-ART and RRT, iterative partitioning of input domain strategy was proposed. They achieved, to some extent, the moderate computation cost with relatively high performance of fault detection. Those algorithms, however, have yet the patterns of non-uniform distribution in test cases, which obstructs the scalability. In this paper we analyze the distribution of test cases in an iterative partitioning strategy, and propose a new method of input domain enlargement which makes the test cases get much evenly distributed. The simulation results show that the proposed one has about 3 percent of improvement in terms of mean relative F-measure for 2-dimension input domain, and shows 10 percent improvement for 3-dimension space.
[ $\underline{Purpose}$ ]: To evaluate the incidences and potential predictive factors for symptomatic radiation pneumonitis (SRP) and radiographic pulmonary toxicity (RPT) following adjuvant radiotherapy (RT) for patients with breast cancer. A particular focus was made to correlate RPT with the dose volume histogram (DVH) parameters based on three-dimensional RT planning (3D-RTP) data. $\underline{Materials\;and\;Methods}$: From September 2003 through February 2006, 171 patients with breast cancer were treated with adjuvant RT following breast surgery. A radiation dose of 50.4 Gy was delivered with tangential photon fields on the whole breast or chest wall. A single anterior oblique photon field for supraclavicular (SCL) nodes was added if indicated. Serial follow-up chest radiographs were reviewed by a chest radiologist. Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) toxicity criteria were used for grading SRP and a modified World Health Organization (WHO) grading system was used to evaluate RPT. The overall percentage of the ipsilateral lung volume that received ${\geq}15\;Gy\;(V_{15}),\;20\;Gy\;(V_{20})$, and $30\;Gy\;(V_{30})$ and the mean lung dose (MLD) were calculated. We divided the ipsilateral lung into two territories, and defined separate DVH parameters, i.e., $V_{15\;TNGT},\;V_{20\;TNGT},\;V_{30\;TNGT},\;MLD_{TNGT}$, and $V_{15\;SCL},\;V_{20\;SCL},\;V_{30SCL},\;MLD_{SCL}$ to assess the relationship between these parameters and RPT. $\underline{Results}$: Four patients (2.1%) developed SRP (three with grade 3 and one with grade 2, respectively). There was no significant association of SRP with clinical parameters such as, age, pre-existing lung disease, smoking, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and regional RT. When 137 patients treated with 3D-RTP were evaluated, 13.9% developed RPT in the tangent (TNGT) territory and 49.2% of 59 patients with regional RT developed RPT in the SCL territory. Regional RT (p<0.001) and age (p=0.039) was significantly correlated with RPT. All DVH parameters except for $V_{15\;TNGT}$ showed a significant correlation with RPT (p<0.05). $MLD_{TNGT}$ was a better predictor for RPT for the TNGT territory than $V_{15\;SCL}$ for the SCL territory. $\underline{Conclusion}$: The incidence of SRP was acceptable with the RT technique that was used. Age and regional RT were significant factors to predict RPT. The DVH parameter was good predictor for RPT for the SCL territory while $MLD_{TNGT}$ was a better predictor for RPT for the TNGT territory.
Objective : This retrospective study was designed to evaluate the anti-tumor efficacy and toxicities of the radiation therapy(RT) combined with cisplatin-based chemotherapy in locally advanced nasopharyngeal cancer(NPC). Materials and Methods : Fifty three patients with locally advanced NPCs(AJCC stage II, III, IV) received curative RT and cisplatin-based chemotherapy. Duration of follow-up ranged from 5.5 to 201 months(median 50.8 months). Nineteen patients(35.8%) were treated with induction chemotherapy including cisplatin $100mg/m^2$ for 1 day and 5-fluorouracil $1g/m^2$ for 5 days followed by RT(Induction CTx-RT). Another 34 patients (64.2%) were treated with concurrent chemoradiation(CCRT) using cisplatin $100mg/m^2$(D1, 22, 43). Results : Thirty-six(67.9%) and 11(20.8%) patients achieved clinical complete response and partial response, respectively. The pattern of failure was as follows:14 locoregional recurrence(26.4%) and 7 distant metastasis(13.2%). Among them, two patients(3.8%) had both locoregional and distant failure. Median overall survival(OS) and progression-free survival(PFS) were 85.5 months and 87.5 months, respectively. Five-year OS rate was 57.1%. The stage(AJCC), tumor response to chemoradiation and T stage were significant prognostic factors for OS(p=0.0113, p=0.0362 and p=0.0469). The stage(AJCC), tumor response to chemoradiation were also significant prognostic factors for PFS(p=0.0329, p=0.0424). Compared to each treatment group(Induction CTx-RT vs. CCRT), there were no significant differences in OS and PFS(p=0.7000, p=0.8261). Grade 3-4 mucositis, nausea/vomiting and hematological toxicities were noticed in 35.8%, 11.3% and 13.2%, respectively. Delayed RT over 2 weeks was inevitable in 26.5%. Seventeen patients(50%) successfully completed planned 3 courses of cisplatin in CCRT group. Conclusions : RT combined with cisplatin-based chemotherapy in locally advanced NPC showed high response rate, good locoregional control, and survival rate. As expected, frequency of acute toxicities increased, and the patient's compliance to treatment was need to be improved. Although our data could not show additional survival benefit of CCRT compare to that of induction chemotherapy followed by RT, patients' accrual and further follow-up are required due to limitation of retrospective study.
The objective of this study was to develop a fast and accurate method of variety discrimination and geographical discrimination origin of Korean angelica (Korean variety, Angelica gigas Nakai) by using TDU-GC/MS. Two peaks of decursin and decursinol, which are coumarin derivatives were identified in the range of Total Ion Chromatogram (TIC) RT 26.9-27.2 of the Korean angelica by GC/MS analysis at the time of condensation in a refrigerated condensation system after thermal desorption of sample extracts. In case of Chinese angelica (Chinese variety), ligustilide peak was detected at the RT 17.2. In order to investigate the difference of volatile components according to the geographical origin of Korean variety, the mass spectra were measured by TDU-GC/MS at the range of m/z 40-400 amu. The TIC of domestic cultivation and Chinese cultivation of the Korean variety, Angelica gigas Nakai showed the same tendency as a whole. However, in partial scans of TIC, two peaks detected at 15.54 and 16.05 of RT showed different peak patterns between Korean angelica (Korean variety) cultivated in Korea and in China. The ratio of Peak A (RT 15.54) and B (RT 16.05) was 0.0-0.2 for domestic cultivation and 0.5-2.8 for Chinese cultivation, confirming the possibility of discriminating origin by comparing the TIC peak pattern of TDU-GC/MS.

Purpose: This study seeks to compare the dosimetric parameters of the bulk electron density (ED) approach and synthetic computed tomography (CT) image in terms of position variation of the air cavity in magnetic resonance-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) for patients with pancreatic cancer. Methods: This study included nine patients that previously received MRgRT and their simulation CT and magnetic resonance (MR) images were collected. Air cavities were manually delineated on simulation CT and MR images in the treatment planning system for each patient. The synthetic CT images were generated using the deep learning model trained in a prior study. Two more plans with identical beam parameters were recalculated with ED maps that were either manually overridden by the cavities or derived from the synthetic CT. Dose calculation accuracy was explored in terms of dose-volume histogram parameters and gamma analysis. Results: The D95% averages were 48.80 Gy, 48.50 Gy, and 48.23 Gy for the original, manually assigned, and synthetic CT-based dose distributions, respectively. The greatest deviation was observed for one patient, whose D95% to synthetic CT was 1.84 Gy higher than the original plan. Conclusions: The variation of the air cavity position in the gastrointestinal area affects the treatment dose calculation. Synthetic CT-based ED modification would be a significant option for shortening the time-consuming process and improving MRgRT treatment accuracy.

In order to investigate the potential of Nigella sativa (N. sativa) oil as an active ingredient for whitening cosmetics, we prepared N. sativa oil. We measured its inhibitory effects on mushroom tyrosinase activity, cellular tyrosinase activity, and melanin synthesis inhibitory activity in B16 melanoma cells. N. sativa oil and its components showed inhibitory activity against mushroom tyrosinase and melanin synthesis. In a melanin synthesis inhibition assay using mouse B16-F10 melanoma cell, it reduced melanin production up to 86 % at a concentration of 10 mg/mL without cytotoxicity. In the study on the melanogenic protein expressions by using RT-PCR and Western blot, N. sativa oil and its components inhibited expression of tyrosinase protein, which is a well-known key protein on melanogenesis, and tyrosinase expression was gradually decreased in a dose-dependent manner. Therefore, this result suggests that N. sativa oil could be used as an active ingredient for whitening cosmetics.
Objective: The aim of this study was to assess thyroid function in breast cancer patients exposed to therapeutic external beam radiation. The focus was on possible progressive changes and any relationships between the incidence of primary hypothyroidism, the time required to become hypothyroid, and factors such as chemotherapy, hormonotherapy and immunotherapy. Materials and Methods: Seventy females undergoing 3D conformal and IMRT radiation therapy for breast cancers were enrolled in a non-randomized prospective study. The patients was divided into two groups: those after mastectomy or breast conserving surgery (BCS) were irradiated to a scar of the chest wall/breast and the ipsilateral supraclavicular and the axillary areas (supraclavicular radiotherapy group - SC-RT group - 32 patients) and the control group receiving adjuvant chest wall/breast RT only (BCT group - 38 patients). The total doses were 50.0 to 70 Gy in 5 to 7 weeks. The median follow-up term was 24 months (range, 1-40 months). Thyroid function was evaluated by measuring thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroxine (fT4), and free triiodothyronine (fT3) levels. The minimum, maximum and mean thyroid gland doses for 20 Gy (V20) were calculated for all patients. Results: Statistically significant results were obtained for the SC-RT group. Two yearsa fter the end of RT the chance of an event was increased in 6% of the population (p=0.009) in the SC-RT group. In the BCT group no significance was noted. No statistically significant differences were found for V20, chemio-, immunotherapy and hormonotherapy or Ki67 values (p=0.12). No significant results were obtained for development of hypothyroidism and clinical factors (age, thyroid volume, treatment modalities). Conclusion: Radiotherapy is associated with a higher incidence of thyroid toxicity in breast cancer patients. Routine thyroid function monitoring should be recommended in such cases.
With stabilization of the recent multi-GNSS infrastructure, and as multi-GNSS has been proven to be effective in improving the accuracy of the positioning performance in various industrial sectors. In this study, in view that SF(Single frequency) GNSS receivers are widely used due to the low costs, evaluate effectiveness of SF Real Time Point Positioning(SF-RT-PP) based on four multi-GNSS surveying methods with RTCM-SSR correction streams in static and kinematic modes, and also derive response challenges. Results of applying SSR correction streams, CNES presented good results compared to other SSR streams in 2D coordinate. Looking at the results of the SF-RT-PP surveying using SF signals from multi-GNSS, were able to identify the common cause of large deviations in the altitude components, as well as confirm the importance of signal bias correction according to combinations of different types of satellite signals and ionospheric delay compensation algorithm using undifferenced and uncombined observations. In addition, confirmed that the improvement of the infrastructure of Multi-GNSS allows SF-RT-SPP surveying with only one of the four GNSS satellites. In particular, in the case of code-based SF-RT-SPP measurements using SF signals from GPS satellites only, the difference in the application effect between broadcast ephemeris and SSR correction for satellite orbits/clocks was small, but in the case of ionospheric delay compensation, the use of SBAS correction information provided more than twice the accuracy compared to result of the Klobuchar model. With GPS and GLONASS, both the BDS and GALILEO constellations will be fully deployed in the end of 2020, and the greater benefits from the multi-GNSS integration can be expected. Specially, If RT-ionospheric correction services reflecting regional characteristics and SSR correction information reflecting atmospheric characteristics are carried out in real-time, expected that the utilization of SF-RT-PPP survey technology by multi-GNSS and various demands will be created in various industrial sectors.

CD4 T cells differentiate into $ROR{\gamma}t/IL$-17A-expressing cells in the small intestine following colonization by segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB). However, it remains unclear whether SFB-specific CD4 T cells can differentiate directly from naïve precursors, and whether their effector differentiation is solely directed towards the Th17 lineage. In this study, we used adoptive T cell transfer experiments and showed that naïve CD4 T cells can migrate to the small intestinal lamina propria (sLP) and differentiate into effector T cells that synthesize IL-17A in response to SFB colonization. Using single cell RT-PCR analysis, we showed that the progenies of SFB responding T cells are not uniform but composed of transcriptionally divergent populations including Th1, Th17 and follicular helper T cells. We further confirmed this finding using in vitro culture of SFB specific intestinal CD4 T cells in the presence of cognate antigens, which also generated heterogeneous population with similar features. Collectively, these findings indicate that a single species of intestinal bacteria can generate a divergent population of antigen-specific effector CD4 T cells, rather than it provides a cytokine milieu for the development of a particular effector T cell subset.
