SnOn, SnO2n, SnO3n (n = 1~4)의 열역학적 안정성과 결합에너지에 대한 DFT 이론 연구 (DFT Study for the Thermodynamic Stability and Binding Energeticsof SnOn, SnO2n, SnO3n (n = 1~4))

  • 본 연구에서는 반응성이 큰 황이 산소와 결합하여 산화황이 되고 이것들이 클러스터를 이루었 을 때의 구조와 결합에너지에 대하여 조사하였다. $S_{n}O_{n},\;S_{n}O_{2n},\;S_{n}O_{3n}\;(n\;=\;1{\sim}4)$까지의 여러 가능한 분자 구조를 B3LYP/6-311G** 이론수준까지 최적화 하였으며, 단량체($SO,\;SO_2,\;SO_3$)가 증가할 때의 결합에너지를 MP2/6-311G** 수준까지 계산하였다. $SnOn\;(n\;=\;1{\sim}4)$의 경우 S-O 단량체 증가에 따라 상대적으로 안정화되는 경향이 강하게 나타났으며, 약 20-25 kcal/mol 정도 증가하는 것으로 예측 되었다. 반면 $S_nO_{2n},\;S_nO_{3n} \;(n\;=\;1{\sim}4)$의 경우에는 $SO_2$$SO_3$ 의 증가에 따른 열역학적 안정성이 상대적으로 덜 안정화 되는 것으로 나타났으며, SO2 단량체가 증가함에 따른 결합에너지 변화는 2.2 kcal/mol, 그리고 $SO_3$ 단량체가 증가함에 따라 흡열반응으로 나타나 열역학적으로 더욱 불안정해질 것으로 예상된다.

  • 1. Objectives and Methods Sasang Constitutional Medicine is the original Korean Medicine. The purpose of this study was to objectify the diagnosis of Sasang Constitution. 212 Women's sentences were analyzed into 228 factors like Pitch, APQ, Shimmer, Octave and Energy, etc. Women's sentences were classified into 3 categories: total group, under 54 years old group and over 55 years old group. 2. Results 1) In Total group Soyangin's Center feq.(3) was significantly high compared with Taeyangin and Taeumin groups. Taeumin's Pitch2 was significantly high compared with Soeumin and Taeyangin groups. Taeyangin's Pitch S.D. was significantly high compared with Soyangin group. Taeyangin's Octave6 was significantly high compared with Soeumin group. There were no significant differences among constitutional groups in APQ and Shimmer segment. On the point of Energy, Taeyangin's G Tot E(1), G# Tot E(1), G dev.(1), G# dev.(1), G Tot E(2), G# Tot E(2), G dev.(4) and G# dev.(4) were significantly high compared with other groups. Soyangin's A#S.D.(2) was significantly high compared with Taeyangin group. Taeyangin's A#S.D.(3) was significantly high compared with Taeumin group. Taeyangin's F S.D.(5), F# S.D.(5) and Max Average were significantly high compared with Soeumin group. Taeumin's Peak3 and Peak4 were significantly high compared with Taeyangin group. Taeumin's PeakValue1 was significantly high compared with Soeumin group. Taeyangin's PeakValue2 was significantly high compared with Soeumin group. Taeyangin's PeakValue3 and PeakValue5 were significantly high compared with Other groups. 2) In Under 54 years old group, there were no significant differences among constitutional groups in APQ, Shimmer and Octave segment. Taeumin's Center freq.(2) was significantly high compared with Taeyangin and Soyangin groups. Taeumin's Pitch(2) and Pitch(3) were significantly high compared with Taeyangin and Soeumin groups. Taeyangin's and Taeumin's Pitch S.D. were significantly high compared with Soyangin group. Taeyangin's and Soyangin's Octave2 were significantly high compared with Taeumin group. On the point of Energy, Taeyangin's and Soyangin's A# S.D.(2) were significantly high compared with Soeumin group. Taeyangin's and Soyangin's G# dev.(1), G# dev.(2) were significantly high compared with Taeumin group. Taeyangin's and Taeumin's F# S.D.(3) were significantly high compared with Soeumin group. Taeyangin's and Soyangin's Max Average were significantly high compared with Soeumin group. Taeumin's Peak3 was significantly high compared with Taeyangin and Soeumin groups. Soeumin's F Shimmer(1) and F Shimmer(2) were significantly high compared with Taeyangin and Taeumin groups. Soeumin's G# Shimmer(1) and G# Shimmer(2) were significantly high compared with Soyangin group. Taeyangin's Octave5 and Octave6 were significantly high compared with Soeumin group. On the point of Energy, Soyangin's C S.D., F# S.D.(1), F# S.D.(2) and G dev.(2) were significantly high compared with other groups. Soyangin's F# S.D.(3) was significantly high compared with Taeumin and Soeumin groups. Taeyangin's and Taeumin's G# S.D.(2) and G# S.D.(3) were significantly high compared with Soyangin group 3. Conclusions From above result, there is the possibility of efficient standard guide for constitution diagnosis by analysis of voice

  • The As2S3 thin film has a characteristics of optical modulation in both amplitude and phase. Since the As2S3 thin film can be used as a real-time reconfigurable optical filter, the fSDF filter can be optically fabricated on it. According to the modulation characteristics of the As2S3, the optimal fSDF filter recorded on this thin plate has the form of continuous amplitude and binary phase. Computer simulation and optical experiments on the optical pattern classification show that the As2S3 is suitable for the optical fSDF filter.

  • In this study, we define tubular surfaces in Pseudo Galilean 3-space as type-1 or type-2. Using the X(s, t) position vectors of the surfaces and G(s, t) Gaussian transformations, we obtain equations for the two types of tubular surfaces that satisfy the conditions ∆X(s, t) = 0, ∆X(s, t) = AX(s, t), ∆X(s, t) = λX(s, t), ∆X(s, t) = ∆G(s, t), ∆G(s, t) = 0, ∆G(s, t) = AG(s, t) and ∆G(s, t) = λG(s, t).

하절기 넙치유어의 보상 성장 (Compensatory Growth of Juvenile Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus during the Summer Season)

  • This study was performed to determine possibility of compensatory growth of juvenile olive flounder fed a commercial feed during the summer season. Five treatments of fish with triplicates were prepared: C, S1, S2, S3 and S4. Fish in the control group (C) was hand-fed with the commercial feed to apparent satiation twice daily for 6 days a week during 6 weeks. Fish in S1, S2, S3, and S4 experienced 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks of starvation before fed to satiation twice daily for 5, 4, 3, and 2 weeks, respectively. The feeding trial lasted far 6 weeks. Survival of flounder in C, S1 and S2 was significantly (P<0.05) higher than that offish in S4. Weight gain and specific growth rate (SGR) of flounder in C and S1 were significantly (P<0.05) higher than those of fish in S2, S3 or S4. And weight gain and SGR of flounder in S2 and S3 were significantly (P<0.05) higher than those of fish in S4. Feed consumption of flounder tended to increase with weeks of feeding. Feed efficiency ratio and protein efficiency ratio for flounder in C, S1, S2 and S3 were significantly (P<0.05) higher than those for fish in S4. Moisture content of the whole fish in C was lowest, but highest for fish in S4, respectively. Crude protein content of the whole fish in C was highest, but lowest far fish in S4, respectively. Crude lipid content of the whole fish in C, S1 and S2 was significantly (P<0.05) higher than that of fish in S4. In conclusion, full compensatory growth was obtained in juvenile olive flounder fed for 5 weeks after 1-week feed deprivation during the summer season. Compensatory growth of fish was well supported by improvement in feed efficiency ratio and protein efficiency ratio.

Effect of Fasting and Refeeding on Growth and Blood Chemistry in Juvenile Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus L.

  • Effect of fasting and refeeding on growth and blood chemistry of juvenile olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus L. was investigated when fish achieved compensatory growth. Fish were fed the experimental diet for 6 days a week. Five treatments in triplicate were prepared: C, S1, S2, S3 and S4. Fish in the control group (C) were hand-fed to apparent satiation twice a day. Fish in treatments of S1, S2, S3 and S4 experienced 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks of starvation and were then hand-fed to satiation twice daily during the remaining 7, 6, 5 and 4 weeks of the experiment, respectively. Weight gain of fish in C, S1 and S2 were higher than those of fish in S3 and S4. A significant difference in plasma total protein, glucose, triglyceride, $T_3$ and $T_4$ was observed in between starved and refed fish for the rest periods of the feeding trial. Plasma total protein and $T_3$ of flounder decreased with week of fasting and following correlationships were obtained; Y (Total protein) = -0.13X (week of fasting) + 1.54, $R^2=0.9792$ and $Y(T_3)=-11.48X$ (week of fasting) + 79.57, $R^2=0.8822$, respectively.

Pro-Inflammatory Role of S1P3 in Macrophages

  • Sphingosine kinase 1 and its product, sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P), as well as their receptors, have been implicated in inflammatory responses. The functions of receptors $S1P_1$ and $S1P_2$ on cell motility have been investigated. However, the function of $S1P_3$ has been poorly investigated. In this study, the roles of $S1P_3$ on inflammatory response were investigated in primary peritoneal macrophages. $S1P_3$ receptor was induced along with sphingosine kinase 1 by stimulation of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). LPS treatment induced inflammatory genes, such iNOS, COX-2, $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6 and $TNF-{\alpha}$. TY52156, an antagonist of $S1P_3$ suppressed the induction of inflammatory genes in a concentration dependent manner. Suppression of iNOS and COX-2 induction was further confirmed by western blotting and NO measurement. Suppression of $IL-1{\beta}$ induction was also confirmed by western blotting and ELISA. Caspase 1, which is responsible for $IL-1{\beta}$ production, was similarly induced by LPS and suppressed by TY52156. Therefore, we have shown $S1P_3$ induction in the inflammatory conditions and its pro-inflammatory roles. Targeting $S1P_3$ might be a strategy for regulating inflammatory diseases.

  • Pyrrolidine-2,3-dione derivative A was synthesized from oxalylation of chiral enamine Ba. The stereostructure of its major diastereomer $(A_{maj})$ was determined as octahydro-2,3-dioxo-6aS-hyd roxy-1-(1S-methoxycarbonyl-2-phenylethyl)-cyclopenta[b]pyrrole-3aR-carboxylic acid ethyl ester Aa by means of NMR spectrum. This result implied that the asymmetric carbon-carbon bond forming reaction occurred preferentially at the ${\beta}-face$ of Ba.

  • This report describes the isolation and identification of a potent acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor-producing yeasts. Of 731 species of yeast strain, the S-3 strain was selected as a potent producer of AChE inhibitor. The selected S-3 strain was investigated for its microbiological characteristics. The S-3 strain was found to be short-oval yeast that did not form an ascospore. The strain formed a pseudomycelium and grew in yeast malt medium containing 50% glucose and 10% ethanol. Finally, the S-3 strain was identified by its physiological characteristics and 26S ribosomal DNA sequences as $Yarrowia$ $lipolytica$ S-3.

Soil Erosion Modeling in the 3S Basin of the Mekong River Basin

  • The 3S Basin is described as an important contributor in terms of many aspects in the Mekong River Basin in Southeast Asia. However, the 3S Basin has been suffering adverse consequences of changing discharge and sediment, which are derived from farming, deforestation, hydropower dam construction, climate change, and soil erosion. Consequently, a large population and ecology system that live along the 3S Basin are seriously affected. Accordingly, the calculating and simulating discharge and sediment become ever more urgent. There are many methods to simulate discharge and sediment. However, most of them are designed only during a single rainfall event and they require many kinds of data. Therefore, this study applied a Catchment-scale Soil Erosion model (C-SEM) to simulate discharge and sediment in the 3S Basin. The simulated results were judged with others references's data and the observed discharge of Strung Treng station, which is located in the mainstream and near the outlet of the 3S Basin. The results revealed that the 3S Basin distributes 31% of the Mekong River Basin's total discharge. In addition, the simulated sediment results at the 3S Basin's outlet also substantiated the importance of the 3S Basin to the Mekong River Basin. Furthermore, the results are also useful for the sustainable management practices in the 3S Basin, where the sediment data is unavailable.
