  • Since aerial photogrammetry by analog camera began in 1972, recently, high resolution digital camera is actively introduced to improve efficiency of aerial photogrammetry. This study investigated the 3D positioning accuracy of DMC(Digital Mapping Camera) among various high resolution aerial digital cameras to be developed for photogrammetry. For the research, we installed control points in test field around Incheon, and acquired analog and digital aerial photographs. By comparing 3D positioning accuracies of analog and digital photographs, there are few difference between two cameras, and the 3D positioning accuracies of two cameras was somewhat increased in case of aerotriangulation using additional control points based on GPS/IMU EO data.

  • Digital high resolution cameras are widely available, and are increasingly use in digital close-range photogrammetry. And photogrammetry instruments are developing rapidly and the precision is improving continuously. The building of 3D terrains of high precision are possible and the calculation of the areas or the earthwork volumes have high precision due to the development of the technique of the spatial information system using computer. Using the digital camera which has capacity of keeping numerical value by itself and easy carrying, we analyze the positioning error according to various change of photographing condition. • This Study is about driving simulation after road design by 3D-GIS in digital elevation model from digital aerial photogrammetry. For designing roads efficiently it's very important to consider geographical features before design when analyze the view. Nevertheless, existing studies is mainly restricted in the mountainous, despite of using digital map or aerial photogrammetry and the study which used aerial photo in the area where the road designing is made really is not get executed. Therefore, this study will do 3D-road design and driving simulation by appling really road design data to topography, on the basis of digital elevation generated from aerial photogrammetry.

  • Aerial photogrammetry, which is one of the most frequent used technology in mapping and surveying, has been appreciated for its work flow and accuracy to generate 2D and 3D geospatial data. In aerial photograrnrnetry, more than two photographs are taken over the same target area in different position with overlap. Using these photographs and minimum number of ground control points, 3D stereo model is so formed that the ground surface in reality is reconstructed through analogue/analytical plotter or digital photogrammetry system. In case of digital photogrammetry system, 3D geospatial data could be automatically extracted in partial. Recently, in the advent of aerial digital camera such as ADS40 and DMC, digital photogrammetry system will be in the frist place for generating 3D geospatial data. In this paper, we experimentally generated 3D geospatial data using digital photograrnrnetry system in the aspect of work flow.

  • Large dams, which are critical infrastructures for disaster prevention, are exposed to various risks such as aging, floods, and earthquakes. Better dam safety inspection and diagnosis using digital transformation technologies are needed. Traditional visual inspection methods by human inspectors have several limitations, including many inaccessible areas, danger of working at heights, and know-how based subjective inspections. In this study, drone photogrammetry was performed on two large dams to evaluate the applicability of digital data-based dam safety inspection and propose a data management methodology for continuous use. High-quality 3D digital models with GSD (ground sampling distance) within 2.5 cm/pixel were generated by flat double grid missions and manual photography methods, despite reservoir water surface and electromagnetic interferences, and severe altitude differences ranging from 42 m to 99.9 m of dam heights. Geometry profiles of the as-built conditions were easily extracted from the generated 3D mesh models, orthomosaic images, and digital surface models. The effectiveness of monitoring dam deformation by photogrammetry was confirmed. Cracks and deterioration of dam concrete structures, such as spillways and intake towers, were detected and visualized efficiently using the digital 3D models. This can be used for safe inspection of inaccessible areas and avoiding risky tasks at heights. Furthermore, a methodology for mapping the inspection result onto the 3D digital model and structuring a relational database for managing deterioration information history was proposed. As a result of measuring the labor and time required for safety inspection at the SYG Dam spillway, the drone photogrammetry method was found to have a 48% productivity improvement effect compared to the conventional manpower visual inspection method. The drone photogrammetry-based dam safety inspection is considered very effective in improving work productivity and data reliability.

  • The 3D Image which embodies real object to 3D space of computer enables various geometrical analysis as well as visualization of complex 3D shape by giving sense for the real and cubic effect that can not be offered in 2D image. Human gives real object to same physical properties in 3D space imagination world of computer, and it is expected that this enables offering of various information by user strengthening interface between human-computer to observe object in real condition. In this study, formal style routine of 3D image creation applying digital photogrammetry was designed for more practical, highly trusty 3D image creation, and the system was emboded using object-oriented technique which strengthen user interface. Also, the discontinuity information about rock slope using 3D image is acquired that is orientation, persistence, spacing and aperture etc.
