Pervaporation Separation Characteristics for Water-Ethanol Mixtures Using Porous Hollow Fiber PVA Composite Membranes (미세 다공성 중공사 PVA복합막을 이용한 에탄올 수용액의 투과증발분리 특성)

  • The Poly (vinylidene fluoride) and poly (acrylonitrile) (PAN) hollow fiber composite membranes coated with poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly (acrylic acid) (PAA) as the crosslinkig agent are prepared. The resulting membranes were characterized for aqueous 90 wt% ethanol solution by pervaporation techniques in terms of the permeability and separation factor. In general, as both the crsslinking reaction temperature and the crosslinking agent concentration increase, the permeability decrease while the separation factor tends to increase. And also the permeability increased and the separation factor decreased as the feed temperature increased. Typically, the permeability $502g/m^2hr$ at the feed temperature $70^{\circ}C$ was obtained for PVDF hollow fiber membrane prepared with the crosslinking agent PAA 3 wt% at the reaction temperature $60^{\circ}C$ whereas the separation factor 218 was shown for the membrane reacted with PAA 11 wt% and at $100^{\circ}C$ for the feed temperature $50^{\circ}C$.

The Effects of Salt Levels and Drying Period on Physicochemical and Sensory Parameters of Dry-cured Ham Ripened in Controlled Condition (소금과 건조기간이 발효실에서 제조된 건염햄의 이화학적 및 관능적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of salt and drying period on the physicochemical and sensory parameters of dry-cured ham ripened in a controlled condition. In this study, three treatments were performed: High salt group (HS), salted with 7 g $kg^{-1}salt$ (w/w); Middle salt group (MS), 5 g $kg^{-1}salt$ and; Low salt group (LS), 3 g $kg^{-1}salt$. Three conditions of drying period were applied including 180, 270 and 360 d at $19^{\circ}C$ and 65% relative humidity, and the physicochemical character and sensory properties of M. biceps femoris were investigated. pH and water activity were decreased with increasing drying period, and the pH of LS was higher than that of other treatments (p<0.05). When increasing the drying period, the hardness of HS was steadily raised for 360 d, whereas LS and MS hardened between 180 and 270 d (p<0.05), and there was no significant difference after 270 d. Cohesiveness, glumness and chewiness had a positive relationship with the drying period. Also, springiness, glumness and chewiness showed a positive relationship with salt level. Chroma and hue value were improved by increasing the salt level. As the drying period increased, the rate of hardness and flavor intensity was increased. In general, this research can be used as essential information for the mass production of dry cured ham.

Leaf Feeding Insects of Welsh Onion and Shallot, and Their Species Abundance Patterns (대파 및 쪽파 잎기생 해충상과 종 빈도 분포형)

  • Leaf feeding insect species of welsh onion and shallot were surveyed, and their species abundances were analyzed by fitness test for lognomal disstribution. A total of 13 and 6 species were identified on welsh onion and shallot, respectively. The dominant species on welsh onion were Thrips tabacid, Acrolepiopsis sapporensis, Spodoptera exigua, and Liriomyza chinensis. Thrips tabacid was also identified as the major species on the shallot. The community dominance was high in welsh onion and shallot observed on 12 October, Suwon. The species abundance patterns of the two communities were well described by lognormal distribution(P> 0.50).

  • 최근 UV LED는 생화학 및 의료 산업에서 많은 각광을 받고 있다. 특히, 360nm 이하의 파장대를 갖는 UV LED는 치료 기술, 센서, 물이나 공기 등의 정화와 같은 목적으로 특별한 관심이 쏠리고 있다 [1]. 이러한 지속적인 연구를 통하여 현재까지 UV LED는 거대한 성장을 이루어 왔다. 하지만 이러한 노력에도 불구하고, 360 nm 이하의 UV LED는 여전히 오믹 접촉과 전류 분산이 원활하지 못하다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이것은 UV LED의 외부 양자 효율을 감소시키고, 더 나아가 극도로 낮은 광 추출 효율을 초래한다. 최근 이러한 문제를 해결하고자, 투명 전도성 산화물(TCO)을 금속 전극과 p-AlGaN 사이에 삽입해주는데, 현재 가장 널리 사용되는 TCO 물질은 ITO 이다 [2]. 하지만 ITO 물질은 상대적으로 작은 밴드갭(3.3~4.3 eV)과 단파장 빛이 가지는 큰 에너지로 인하여 deep-UV 영역에서는 빛이 투과하지 못하고 대부분 흡수된다 [3]. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 박막형 ITO 투명 전극에 비해 투과도 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 mesh, grid 기반의 투명전극을 연구하였다. Fig. 1과 같이 $5{\mu}m$, $10{\mu}m$, $20{\mu}m$ 간격으로 이루어진 mesh, grid 구조의 투명전극을 구현하여 투과도 손실을 최소화하면서 우수한 전기적 특성을 확보하기 위한 구조 최적화 연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구를 위해 mesh, grid 구조의 ITO 전극 패턴을 photolitho 공정으로 형성하였으며, e-beam 증착법으로 60 nm 두께의 ITO 전극을 형성 후 질소 분위기/$650^{\circ}$에서 30초 동안 RTA 공정을 진행하였다. Fig. 1에서 볼 수 있듯이 mesh, grid의 간격이 증가할수록 투명 전극이 차지하는 면적이 감소하여 투과도는 향상되는 반면, 투명 전극과 p-GaN과의 접촉 면적 또한 감소하므로 오믹 특성이 저하된다. 따라서 투과도 손실을 최소화하면서 우수한 전기적 특성을 확보하기 위해 mesh는 $20{\mu}m$, grid는 $10{\mu}m$ 간격의 구조로 각각 최적화하였다. 그 결과 박막 기반의 ITO 투명전극 대비 최대 약 10% 향상된 투과도를 확보하였으며, I-V Curve 결과를 통하여 p-GaN 기판과 mesh 구조의 ITO 전극 사이에 박막 기반의 투명 전극과 비슷한 수준인 $0.35{\mu}A(@5V)$의 전기적 특성을 확보하였다. 결과적으로 mesh, grid 기반 투명전극의 구조 최적화를 통하여 p-GaN과 원활한 오믹 접촉을 형성하는 동시에 기존 박막형 ITO 투명 전극 구조보다 높은 투과도를 확보할 수 있었다.

Preparation and Characterization of Seasoned Salmon Powder (조미 연어 분말 식품의 제조 및 특성)

  • For the development of new products using salmon, development of seasoned salmon powder was attempted and its characteristics were also examined. In the seasoned salmon powder prepared in this experiment (product P), the proximate composition was 42.1% moisture, 30.3% protein, 18.9% lipid, and 6.2% ash, and the Hunter color value showed 68.14 for the lightness, 7.86 for the redness, 19.13 for the yellowness and 35.12 for the color difference. TCA soluble-N content of product P was 360 mg/100 g, which is higher than that of commercial product (234 mg/100 g). In taste values, total value was 2.2 times higher in product P than in commercial product, and their major free amino acid was only glutamic acid. In both product P and commercial product, the major fatty acids were 16:0, 18:1n-9, 18:2n-6, and 22:6n-3. Total content of amino acid was higher in the product P (29.05 g/100 g) than in commercial product (20.79 g/100 g), and their major amino acids were aspartic acid, glutamic acid, leucine, and lysine. The results of sensory evaluation on the taste, color, and flavor showed that product P was superior to commercial product.

  • This study aimed to suggest implications for the future development of agricultural R&D through a priority analysis of excellent agricultural R&D performance considering productivity, marketability, and effects on region, which are important factors of agricultural R&D evaluation. The subjects of analysis were R&D of Rural Development Administration (RDA), which was selected as national R&D excellent Performance from 2006 to 2018, and the priority was analyzed using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results are as follows. First, the relative importance of the criteria decreased in the order of marketability(0.423) > regional impact(0.360) > productivity(0.216). Second, as a result of analyzing the relative importance of the sub-criteria, the possibility of commercialization(0.515) was high in the category of marketability. The possibility of technology expansion(0.538) was high in the category of effects on region and the quality improvement(0.464) was high in the category of productivity. Third, the excellent agricultural R&D performance that had high relative importance was the technologies associated with improving the agricultural competitiveness of horticultural crops.

  • In this paper, the interesting moving objects tracking algorithm using color information on Multi-Video camera is proposed Moving objects are detected by using difference image method and integral projection method to background image and objects image only with hue area, after converting RGB color coordination of image which is input from multi-video camera into HSI color coordination. Hue information of the detected moving area are normalized by 24 steps from 0$^{\circ}$ to 360$^{\circ}$ It is used for the feature parameters of the moving objects that three normalization levels with the highest distribution and distance among three normalization levels after obtaining a hue distribution chart of the normalized moving objects. Moving objects identity among four cameras is distinguished with distribution of three normalization levels and distance among three normalization levels, and then the moving objects are tracked and surveilled. To examine propriety of the proposed method, four cameras are set up indoor difference places, humans are targeted for moving objects. As surveillance results of the interesting human, hue distribution chart variation of the detected Interesting human at each camera in under 10%, and it is confirmed that the interesting human is tracked and surveilled by using feature parameters at four cameras, automatically.

Accuracy Improvement of Laser Navigation System using FIS and Reliability (FIS와 신뢰도를 이용한 레이저 내비게이션의 정밀도 향상)

  • This paper presents to study the accuracy improvement of the laser navigation using FIS(fuzzy inference system) and the reliability. As wireless guidance system, the top-mounted laser with the laser navigation can rotate $360^{\circ}$ with phototransistor or other optical sensors that read the return signal from reflectors mounted at the perimeter of the workspace. The type of major existing guidance systems is a wire guidance system. Because they have high accuracy and fast response time, they are used to most industries. However, their installation cost is very expensive and maintenance is very difficult because their sensors are placed approximately 1 inch below the ground or embedded in the floor. To solve those problems, the laser navigation was developed as a wire guidance system. It does not need to reconstruct a floor or ground. And it can reduce costs of installation and maintenance because changing the layout is easy. However, it is difficult to apply to an industrial field because it is easily affected by disturbances which cause loss and damage of data, and has slow respond time. Therefore, we study the accuracy improvement of the laser navigation. The proposed method is a correction method using reliability of the laser navigation. here, reliability is calculated by FIS which is designed with the analyzed characteristics of the laser navigation. For performance comparison, we use original position data form the laser navigation and position data corrected by original reliability from the laser navigation. In experimental result, we verified that the performance of the proposed method compared the others is improved by about 50% or more.

Development of Elbow Joint X-ray Examination Aid for Medical Imaging Diagnosis (의료영상 진단을 위한 팔꿉관절 X-선 검사 보조기구 개발)

  • The elbow joint is made up of three different bones. X-rays or other radiological exams are commonly used to diagnose elbow injuries or disorders caused by physical activity and external forces. Previous research on the elbow joint reported a new examination method that meets the imaging evaluation criteria in the tilt position by Z-axis elevation of the forearm. Therefore, this study aims to design an optimized instrument and develop an aid applicable to other upper extremity exams. After completing the 2D drawing and 3D modeling design, the final design divided into four parts was fabricated with a 3D printer using ABS plastic and assembled. The developed examination aid consists of a four-stage Z-axis elevation tilt angle function (0°, 5°, 10°, and 15°) and can rotate and fixate 360° in 1-degree increments. It was designed to withstand a maximum equivalent stress of 56.107 Pa and a displacement of 1.6548e-5 mm through structural analysis to address loading issues caused by cumulative frequency of use and physical utilization. In addition to X-ray exams of the elbow joint, the developed aid can be used for shoulder function tests by rotating the humerus and also be applied to MRI and CT exams as it is made of non-metallic materials. It will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of medical imaging diagnosis through clinical applications of various devices and medical imaging exams in the future.
