Purpose: Diversity and the lachrymal duct deformities and the passage inside the nasal cavity except for anterior image such as epiphora happens during the test were able to express more precisely during the dacryoscintigraphy. Also, we thought about the necessity of a method to classify the passage into the naso-lachrymal duct from epiphora. Therefore, we are to find the validity of the method to obtain both oblique views except for anterior views. Materials and Methods: The targets of this research are 78 patients with epiphora due to the blockage at the lachrymal duct from January 2013 to August 2013. Average age was $56.96{\pm}13.36$. By using a micropipette, we dropped 1-2 drops of $^{99m}TcO4^-$ of 3.7 MBq (0.1 mCi) with $10{\mu}L$ of each drop into the inferior conjunctival fold, then we performed dynamic check for 20 minutes with 20 frames of each minute. In case of we checked the passage from both eyes to nasal cavity immediately after the dynamic check, we obtained oblique view immediately. If we didn't see the passage in either side of the orbit, we obtained oblique views of the orbit after checking the frontal film in 40 minutes. The instrument we used was Pin-hole Collimator with Gamma Camera(Siemens Orbiter, Hoffman Estates, IL, USA). Results: Among the 78 patients with dacryoscintigraphy, 35 patients were confirmed with passage into the nasal cavity from the anterior view. Among those 35 patients, 15 patients were confirmed with passage into the nasal cavity on both eyes, and it was able to observe better passage patterns through oblique view with a result of 8 on both eyes, 2 on left eye, and 1 on right eye. 20 patients had passage in left eye or right eye, among those patients 10 patients showed clear passage compared to the anterior view. 13 patients had possible passage, and 30 patients had no proof of motion of the tracer. To sum up, 21 patients (60%) among 35 patients showed clear pattern of passage with additional oblique views compared to anterior view. People responded obtaining oblique views though 5 points scale about the utility of passage identification helps make diagnoses the passage, passage delayed, and blockage of naso-lachrymal duct by showing the well-seen portions from anterior view. Also, when classifying passage to naso-lachrymal duct and flow to the skin, oblique views has higher chance of classification in case of epiphora (anterior:$4.14{\pm}0.3$, oblique:$4.55{\pm}0.4$). Conclusion: It is considered that if you obtain oblique views of the bilateral orbits in addition to anterior view during the dacryoscintigraphy, the ability of diagnose for reading will become higher because you will be able to see the areas that you could not observe from the anterior view so that you can see if it emitted after the naso-lachrymal duct and the flow of epiphora on the skin.
This study was conducted to investigate the developmental ability of caprine embryos after somatic cell interspecies nuclear transfer. Donor cells were obtained from an ear-skin biopsy of a caprine, digested with 0.25% trypsin-EDTA in PBS, and primary fibroblast cultures were established in TCM-199 with 10% FBS. After maturation, expanded cumulus cells were removed by vigorous pipetting in the presence of 0.3% hyaluronidase. The matured oocytes were dipped in D-PBS plus 10% FBS+7.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml cytochalasin B and 0.05 M sucrose. The reconstructed oocytes were electrically fused with donor cells in 0.3 M mannitol fusion medium. After the electofusion, embryos were activated by electric stimulation. Interspecies nuclear transfer embryos with bovine cytoplasts were cultured in TCM-199 medium supplemented with 10% FBS including bovine oviduct epithelial cells for 7∼9 day. On the other hand, the NT embryos with porcine cytoplasts were cultured in NCSU-23 medium supplemented with 10% FBS for 6∼8 day at $39^{\circ}C, 5% CO_2$ in air. In caprine-bovine NT embryos, the cleavage(2-cell) rate was 36.8% in confluence and 43.8% in serum starvation. The developmental rate of morula- and blastocyst-stage embryos was 0.0% in confluence and 18.8% in serum starvation. In caprine-porcine NT embryos, the cleavage(2-cell) rate was 76.7% in confluence and 66.7% in serum starvation. The developmental rate of morula and blastocyst stage embryos was 3.3% in confluence and 3.0% in serum starvation, and no significant difference was observed in synchronization treatment between donor cells. In caprine-bovine NT embryos, the cleavage(2-cell) rate of cultured donor cells was 30.8% and 17.6% in 5∼9 and 10∼14 passage(P<0.05). The developmental rate of morula and blastocyst stage embryos were significantly higher(P<0.05) in 5∼9 passage(23.1%) than in 10∼14 passage(0.0%) of cultured donor cells. In caprine-porcine NT embryos, the cleavage rate was significantly higher(P<0.05) in 5∼9 passage(86.7%) than in 10∼14 passage(50.0%) of cultured donor cells. The developmental rate of morula and blastocyst stage embryos were 3.3 and 0.0% in 5∼9 and 10∼14와 passage of cultured donor cells. In caprine-bovine NT embryos, the developmental rate of morula and blastocyst stage embryos were 22.6% in interspecies nuclear transfer, 33.9% in in vitro fertilization and 28.1% in parthenotes, which was no significant differed. The developmental rate of morula and blastocyst stage embryos with caprine-porcine NT embryos were lower(P<0.05) in interspecies nuclear transfer(5.1%) than in vitro fertiltzation(26.9%) and parthenotes(37.4%).
A numerical analysis has been conducted in order to simulate the characteristics of complex flow through linear cascades of high performance turbine blade with/without tip clearance by using a pressure-correction based, generalized 3D incompressible Wavier-Stokes CFD code. The development and generation of horseshoe vortex, passage vortex, leakage vortex, tip vortex within tip clearance, etc. are clearly identified through the present simulation which uses the RNG k-$\varepsilon$ turbulent model with wall function method and a second-order linear upwind scheme for convective terms. The present simulation results are consistent with the generally known tendency that occurs in the blade passage and tip clearance. A 3D model for secondary and leakage flows through turbine cascades with/without tip clearance is also suggested from the present simulation results, including the effects of tip clearance height.
Clinical observation is made on the total 205 cases of foreign bodies in the air and food passages. The entire foreign body cases that had visited ENT Dept. of Han Gang Sacred Heart Hospital from January, 1972 to March, 1976 are included in this study. The results summarized are as follows: 1) The majority of the cases of foreign bodies are found in the food passage, 200 cases (97.6%) while in the air passage only 5 cases was present. 2) The most common foreign bodies in the esophagus was coin (90%) and in the air passage, the sorts of foreign bodies are bean, peanut, plastic bullet, corn and towel clip. 3) In the locality of foreign bodies, the first narrowing is the most frequent site in the esophagus. 4) The majority of the cases with esophageal foreign body is male (M:F 1.4 : 1), in the air passage (M:F 3:2). 5) The patients with esophageal foreign body visited within 3 days in 87%, and with trachiobronchial foreign body visited within a day in all cases.
The retrospective analysis of 285 cases with diagnoses of foreign bodies in the food and air passages that were managed at the Department of Otolaryngology, KangNam St.Mary's Hospital from Nov.1980 to Oct.1992 are reported. The results are as follows : 1) Among 285 cases, 254 cases(89.2%) were lodged in the esophagus and 31 cases (10.8%) in the air passage. The ratio between the foreign bodies in the food and those in the air passage was about 8.2 : 1 2) Among all cases, 171 cases were males(59.8%) and 114 cases were females(40.2%). 3) The group under 5 years old having foreign bodies was over half of all cases(56.5%), and the group over 51 years old was 15.5% of all cases. 4) The incidence of foreign bodies in order of frequency was coin(35.6%), fish bone (21.8%) and chicken bone(7.9%) in the food passage. Beans and peanuts were the most common foreign bodies in the air passage. 5) In the location of foreign bodies of the food passage, 208 cases(82.2%) were found in the first esophageal narrowing. In the air passage, the frequent sites of lodgement were the bronchus, trachea and larynx in order. 6) The 67.0% of all cases was removed within 24 hours. The duration of lodgement showed differences in relation with varieties of the foreign bodies.

A vacuum brazed cooling passage for an aircraft engine controller was designed. In order to predict the total pressure loss, which is the main design factor of the cooling passage, theoretical and numerical methods for the major loss and the minor loss considering the overall shape of the cooling passage are presented. This design and evaluation method can predict the pressure loss of the complex cooling passage shape for various flow conditions at the initial design step.
Although embryonic stem cells (ESCs) or ES-like cells are reported from many mammalian species other than the mouse, the culture system for murine ESCs may not be suitable to the other species. Previously many other research groups have modified either human or mouse ESC culture systems for bovine ESC culture. In this study, we compared three different culture mediums consisting of DMEM, ${\alpha}$-MEM or KnockOut$^{TM}$-DMEM (KO), which are modified from human or mouse ESC culture system, for the generation of bovine ESCs. In this study, some pre-requisite events which are important for establishment and long-term propagation of ESCs such as inner cell mass (ICM) attachment on feeder cells, primary colony formation and sustainability after passaging. Once the ICM clumps attached on feeder cells, this was designated as passage 0. In regards to the rate of ICM attachment, ${\alpha}$-MEM was superior to the other systems. For primary colony formation, there was no difference between DMEM and ${\alpha}$-MEM whereas KO showed lower formation rate than the other groups. For passaging, the colonies were split into 2~4 pieces and passed every 5~6 days. From passage 1 to passage 3, DMEM system seemed to be appropriate for maintaining putative bovine ESCs. On the other hand, ${\alpha}$-MEM tended to be more suitable after passage 6. Although ${\alpha}$-MEM support to maintain a ES-like cell progenies to passage 15, all three culture systems which are modified from human or mouse ESC culture media failed to retain the propagation and long-term culture of putative bovine ESCs. Our findings imply that more optimized alternative culture system is required for establishing bovine ESC lines.
The principal objective of this study was to determine the quality and potential of DHEA formation after the addition of diosgenin of yam(Dioscorea spp.) during the fermentation of soybean paste. All samples were divided into three groups based on the variety of yam. In sample A, the soy source was not separated from soybean paste and in sample B, the soybean source was separated from soybean paste. The range in salt concentration in the samples was as follows : sample A: 10.5~11.8%, samples B: 7.9~8.8%. However, no substantial differences between the two samples, in terms of salt content, were observed. The crude protein and crude lipid content were found to decrease with the fermentation time of soybean paste(passage of 30 days: 26.4~32.3% and 4.45~5.90%, passage of 60 days: 24.5~28.5% and 3.95~4.90%, respectively). As the fermentation time of soybean paste increased, the nitrogen from amino compounds increased(passage of 30 days: 531.9~687.7 mg%, passage of 60 days: 551.3~706.8 mg%). In regards to color and preference, sample B, where the soy source was separated from soybean paste, was better than sample A, where the two components were not separated. After a soybean paste fermentation time of 60 days, the diosgenin of yam, which was added to the soybean paste, was not detected in tested samples, and the contents of DHEA formation in soybean paste were as follows: sample A: $488.0\pm42.5{\sim}719.3\pm44.8{\mu}g/g$, sample B: $287.3\pm20.6{\sim}482.7{\pm}36.5{\mu}g/g$.

Human periodontal ligament fibroblast(hPDLF) is very important to cure periodontal tissue because it can be diverged into various cells. This study examined the expression of MMP-1, TIMP-1, periodontal ligament specific PDLs22, Type I collagen, Fibronectin, TIMP-2, telomerase mRNA in a replicative senescence of hPDLF. The periodontal ligament tissue was obtained from periodontally healthy and non-carious human teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons at the Chosun University Hospital of Dentistry with the donors' informed consent. The hPDLF cells were cultured in a medium containing Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium(DMEM, Gibco BRL, USA) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum(FBS, Gibco BRL, USA) at 37C in humidified air with 5% $CO_2$. For the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) analysis, the total RNA of the 2, 4, 8, 16, 18, and 21 passage cells was extracted using a Trizol Reagent(Invitrogen, USA) in replicative hPDL cells. Two passage cells, i.e. young cells, served as the control, and ${\beta}-actin$ served as the internal control for RT-PCR The results of this study about cell morphology and gene expression according to aging of hPDLF using RT-PCR method are as follows: 1. The size of hPDLF was increased with aging and it was showed that the hPDLF was dying in the final passage. 2. PDLs22 mRNA was expressed in young hPDLF of the two, four, and six passage. 3. TIMP-1 mRNA was expressed in young hPDLF of the two and four passage. 4. There was a tendency that MMP-1 mRNA was weakly expressed over eighteen. 5. Type 1 collagen mRNA was expressed in almost all passages, but it was not expressed in the final passage. 6. Fibronectin mRNA was observed in all passages and it was weakly expressed in the final passage. 7. TIMP-2 and telomerase mRNA were not expressed in this study. Based on above results, it was observed that PDLs22, Type 1 collagen, Fibronectin, MMP-1. and TIMP-1 mRNA in hPDLF were expressed differently with aging. The study using the hPDLF that is collected from healthy patients and periodontitis patients needs in further study.

The Myodo-Strait at Yeosu Port is normally used as a major vessel passage for dangerous cargo carriers that carry regular products of dangerous goods. Currently, the Myodo-Strait allows only single passage, and the speed of passage is also limited to 8 knots. As a result, demurrage at the wharf of hazardous goods are also on the rise. It is expected that the development of a number of dangerous commodity wharf in the future will increase the volume of vessel traffic and increase the number of vessels used in the project area. Therefore, it is urgent to improve the waterway in order to secure the safety of ships using the waterway and improve the demurrage. This study proposed an improvement plan for the waterway through the analysis of the marine environment of the waterway and the process of collecting opinions from users in the sea area. and it was finally proposed to expend the width of the strait to 300m and secure a depth of 9.50m through Guidelines of Port and Harbor Design review and ship handling simulation evaluation. In addition it was evaluated that the vessel traffic congestions at peak-time in the situation of solo passage was greatly improved from 71.01% to 47.3% even when it was allowed to ship's crossing passage, as a result of vessel traffic congestions evaluation. According to the proposed improvement plan, the safety of ships' passage in the project area can be secured, and the issue of demurrage was also considered to be improved.
