Track Models Generation Based on Spatial Image Contents for Railway Route Management (철도노선관리에서의 공간 영상콘텐츠 기반의 궤적 모델 생성)

  • The Spatial Image contents of Geomorphology 3-D environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national land development plan, telecommunication facility management, railway construction, general construction engineering, Ubiquitous city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. There it is needed to apply laser measurement technique in the spatial target object to obtain accuracy. Currently, the LiDAR data which combines the laser measurement skill and GPS has been introduced to obtain high resolution accuracy in the altitude measurement. In this paper, we tested of the railway facilities using laser surveying system, then we propose data a generation of spatial images for the optimal manage and synthesis of railway facility system in our 3-D spatial terrain information. For this object, LiDAR based height data transformed to DEM, and the realtime unification of the vector via digital image mapping and raster via exactness evaluation is transformed to make it possible to trace the model of generated 3-dimensional railway model with long distance for 3D tract model generation. As the results, We confirmed the solutions of varieties application for railway facilities management using 3-D spatial image contents.

Radar Backscattering Measurements of Paddy Rice Field using L, C, and X-band Polarimetric Scatterometer

  • The objective of this study is to measure backscattering coefficients of paddy rice using L, C, X-bands scatterometer system during a rice growth period. The measurement was conducted at an experimental field located in National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (NIAST), Suwon, Korea. The rice cultivar was a kind of Japonica type, called Chuchung. The scatterometer system consists of dual-polarimetric square horn antennas, HP8720D vector network analyzer (20MHz ${\sim}$ 20GHz), RF cables, and a personal computer that controls frequency, polarization and data storage. The scatterometer system is calibrated using a calibration kit (3.5mm, 85052D). The backscattering coefficients were calculated by applying radar equation for the measured at incidence angles between $20^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$ for four polarization (HR, VV, HV, VH), respectively, and compared with rice growth data such as plant height, stem number, biomass, dry weight and LAI that were collected at time of each scatterometer measurement simultaneously.

  • The visual implementation of 3-dimensional national environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national development plan, telecommunication facility deployment plan, railway construction, construction engineering, spatial city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering.   • This paper investigates applicability of Microsoft $Kinect^{(R)}$, RGB-depth camera, to implement a 3D image and spatial information for sensing a target. The relationship between the image of the Kinect camera and the pixel coordinate system is formulated. The calibration of the camera provides the depth and RGB information of the target. The intrinsic parameters are calculated through a checker board experiment and focal length, principal point, and distortion coefficient are obtained. The extrinsic parameters regarding the relationship between the two Kinect cameras consist of rotational matrix and translational vector. The spatial images of 2D projection space are converted to a 3D images, resulting on spatial information on the basis of the depth and RGB information. The measurement is verified through comparison with the length and location of the 2D images of the target structure.

  • This paper presented measurement results of scattering characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma at atmospheric pressure. In this paper, plasma actuator is fabricated by parallel connecting of basic configuration of DBD plasma actuator, then plasma could be generated by applying 14 kV, 4 kHz of high voltage generator. In order to measure the scattering characteristics of DBD plasma, in this paper, two horn antennas and vector network analyzer are used to compare the S-parameter. Because of the structure of fabricated plasma generator, different result is obtained as antenna polarization changes. When antenna polarization is parallel to electrodes of plasma generator, the scattered field is reduced by 2 dB in maximum. In addition, for parallel polarization case, PEC is set up behind the plasma generator to measure backward scattered field. When the observation angles are $40^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$, the amount of reduced scattered field is 2 dB in maximum at 5 GHz.

For this purpose, LiDAR based height data transformed to DEM, and the realtime unification of the vector via digital image mapping and raster via exactness evaluation is transformed to make it possible to trace the model of generated 3-dimensional model with long distance for 3D u-city model generation.

  • Compressive sensing is an emerging sampling technique which enables sampling a signal at a much lower rate than the Nyquist rate. In this paper, we propose a novel framework based on Kronecker compressive sensing that provides multi-resolution image reconstruction capability. By exploiting the relationship of the sensing matrices between low and high resolution images, the proposed method can reconstruct both high and low resolution images from a single measurement vector. Furthermore, post-processing using BM3D improves its recovery performance. The experimental results showed that the proposed scheme provides significant gains over the conventional framework with respect to the objective and subjective qualities.

  • In this study, it was intended to present solution for learners to understand and utilize photogrammetry more easily using economic medium except expensive measuring equipment. For this, 3D point data was analysed by generating event to stereo image on monitor, and input to CAD system automatically. so, real time vector editing and drawing with coordinates measurement were possible. The system was verified, and the monitoring for real construction was performed. so, it is expected to be utilized as a practical use software in related fields.

  • 많은 연구에서 측면 나사 고정(laminar screw fixation)보다 척추경 나사 고정(pedicle screw fixation)의 생체 역학 강도가 더 나은 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 비교적 작은 크기의 척추경(pedicle)과 척수(spinal code), 신경 뿌리 및 척추 동맥에 대한 상해의 위험으로 일반적으로 이 방법은 사용에 제한이 있었다. 최근 3차원 모델링 및 3D 프린팅 기술의 진보는 해부학적인 연구, 특히 척추를 포함한 뼈와 관련된 연구를 용이하게 하고 있으며, 로봇 수술을 위한 다양한 아이디어를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구는 로봇 암(robotic arm)으로 경추 척추경에 나사를 삽입할 때 사용될 수 있는 척추경 나사 삽입을 위한 이상적인 궤적을 계산하는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • Recently. many researches on the personalization of a web-site have been actively made. The web personalization predicts the sets of the most interesting URLs for each user through data mining approaches such as clustering techniques. Most existing methods using clustering techniques represented the web transactions as bit vectors that represent whether users visit a certain WRL or not to cluster web transactions. The similarity of the web transactions was decided according to the match degree of bit vectors. However, since the existing methods consider only whether users visit a certain URL or not, users' interestingness on the URL is excluded from clustering web transactions. That is, it is possible that the web transactions with different visit proposes or inclinations are classified into the same group. In this paper. we propose an enhanced transaction modeling with interestingness weight to solve such problems and a new similarity measuring method that exploits the proposed transaction modeling. It is shown through performance evaluation that our similarity measuring method improves the accuracy of the web transaction clustering over the existing method.
