교육 훈련용 3차원 항공기 시뮬레이터의 구현 (3D Flight Simulator for Education of Flying Tactics)

  • The flight simulator should be made like a actual flight. For the scene of sight, instrument should show the condition of flight and the pilot should catch the altitude, speed, pose and rate of lift of the airplane. The paper describes 3D flight visual training program of driving airplane in practice. It is for beginners using joystick in PC, implements airplane physical equations. And it uses rendering technology to implement vision parts of flying object.

  • In this paper, we apply a forging simulator to automatic simulation of a connecting-rod forging process and compare its results with others found in the literature. The process information comes from the distributed examples of DEFORM3D. The process is fully automatically simulated using the tetrahedral element capability of AFDEX3D, developed by the authors. Our results are compared with the results found from the related literature, already simulated using DEFORM3D by other researchers. The comparison shows that our results are relatively excellent especially in terms of mesh quality on which the solution accuracy depends mainly.

  • The performance of an OLED(organic luminescent emitting device) fabrication system strongly depends on the design of the evaporation cell-source. Trends in display sizes have hauled the enlargement of mother glass substrates. The enlargement of substrates requires the improvement and the enlargement of the effusion cell-source for OLED evaporation process. The deposited layers should be as uniform as possible, and therefore it is important to know the effusion profile of the molecules emitted from the cell-source. Conventional 2D DSMC algorithm cannot be used for simulating the new concept cell-source design, such as a linear source. This work concerns the development of 3D DSMC (direct simulation Monte Carlo) analysis for simulating the behavior of the evaporation cell-sources. In this paper, the 3D DSMC algorithm was developed and the film thickness profiles were obtained by the numerical analysis.

  • This paper deals with generating multi-ped mobile robot's optimal path and its simulation. The multi-ped robot has six-legs which make it possible to move actively by attached driving wheel at the end of legs. The simulation environment is created similarly to the indoor environment as simple obstacles and walls. Also simulator can reconstruct an simulation environment. In this paper, the suggested simulator can generate the optimal path from starting point to destination by applying the A* algorithm and Bug2 algorithm. Then it is possible to check algorithms as 3D screen and we can simulate under the generated path.

  • Reconstruction of the mandible after ablative oral cancer surgery requires esthetic and functional rehabilitation. Restoring facial symmetry and dentition need accurate preoperative surgical planning and meticulous surgical technique. Free fibular flap is most useful tools to reconstruct mandible because of its adequate length and height, simultaneous harvest of soft and hard tissues and placing dental implants. In this case report, recurred squamous cell carcinoma in the right mandible had been resected and free fibular flap was utilized for mandible reconstruction using 3D rapid prototype. Simulation surgery before dental implant placement has been performed for esthetic and functional prosthodontics.

Multi-path simulation for satellite-based positioning systems using 3D digital map of urban area

  • Recently, DGPS or RTK-GPS techniques enable us to use satellite based positioning systems with high accuracy. But in urban area, navigation systems suffer from problems such as signal blockage by high-rise buildings, multi-path problems, and so on. So we have to know numbers of visible satellites and quality of signals received at the ground level in urban area as accurate as possible. In this paper, we developed a simulation system called LoQAS [Location service Quality Assessment System, 2002, the University of Tokyo] which can simulate numbers of visible satellites and DOP values using accurate satellite orbital data and 3-D digital map. In this time, we evaluated this system and extended it to deal with reflected signals to assess multi-path problems.

Comparison of Biot-Savart's Law and 3D FEM in the Study of Electromagnetic Forces Acting on End Winding

  • An induction motor operated with high voltage source generally generates high current in starting mode and has a long transient time after being started. This large and sustaining starting current causes the end windings of the stator to have excessive electromagnetic force. This force is the source of vibration and has a negative and serious influence on the insulation of end windings. Therefore, designing the end winding part with an appropriate support system is needed. To design the support ring enclosing the end windings, we analyze the distribution of electromagnetic force on the end windings by applying the Biot-Savart's law and the 3D finite element method (FEM), and comparing two simulation methods. Finally, we verify the safety of the support structure of the end winding part using stress analysis, which is analyzed with the electromagnetic forces from the 3D FEM simulation.

  • This paper describes a classical algorithm carrying out dynamic 3D obstacle recognition for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), Support Vector Machines (SVMs). SVM is an efficient algorithm that was developed for recognizing 3D object in recent years. A recognition system is designed using Support Vector Machines for applying the capabilities on appearance-based 3D obstacle recognition. All of the test data are taken from OpenGL Simulation. The OpenGL which draws dynamic obstacles environment is used to carry out the experiment for the situation of three-dimension. In order to verify the performance of proposed SVMs, it compares with Back-Propagation algorithm through OpenGL simulation in view of the obstacle recognition accuracy and the time efficiency.

  • 사용자 통합 환경의 시대에서 미술가와 그래픽디자이너들이 자신들의 자율의지로 제작한 창작물들을 자유롭게 전시할 수 있는 기반으로 3차원 가상공간의 증강현실 미술관을 구축하고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 통합개발환경(IDE)에서 3차원시뮬레이션 방식을 활용하는 미술가와 그래픽디자이너의 창작자들을 위한 풍족한 통합제작환경을 구축하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 미술가와 그래픽디자이너가 자신의 자율의지로 마음껏 창작해 나갈 수 있는 통합개발환경에서 창작을 위한 3차원시뮬레이션엔진을 구성하고 안드로이드의 3차원가상공간 증강현실의 창작모듈을 설계한다. 이를 설계하여 미술가와 그래픽디자이너가 마음껏 창작한 그래픽을 무한한 디지털공간에 전시할 수 있도록 현재의 국립현대미술관을 3차원가상 공간의 전시실로 제작하여 관객의 사용자조사를 해보고 안드로이드스마트폰에 Tasking하여본다.

3D 모델의 구체성이 건축음향 시뮬레이션 및 가청화시재에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Complexity of 3D Modeling on the Acoustic Simulations and Auralized Sounds)

  • 본 논문은 건축음향 설계에 있어서 가장 많이 활용되고 있는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 정밀도 향상을 위한 3차원 모델의 구체성에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구에서는 건축음향 시뮬레이션 프로그램인 odeon 6.5에서 제시하고 있는 transition order의 단계를 기준으로 3D 모델의 구체성을 총 4단계로 구분하였다. 각 실내마감재의 흡음률은 도면에 표기된 재료를 odeon의 material library 및 시험성적서를 참고해 입력하였으며 확산률은 odeon의 마감의 표면형태에 따른 권장치를 입력하였다. 또한 room setup 설정시 사용음선수를 동일하게 입력하였으며, trasition order는 각 모델의 유효표면수에 맞게 입력하였다. 실제 공연장에서 측정한 현장음향실험 결과를 기준으로 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 물리적 음향인자 (음압레벨, 잔향시간, 명료도 등)의 오차를 분석하였다. 또한 가청화시재를 제작하여 현장에서 녹음한 음원과 청감실험을 통해 비교하여 주관적 음향인자 (잔향감, 명료함 등)별 유사 정도를 평가하였다. 물리적 음향인자 분석결과, 가장 구체적인 3D모델의 잔향시간 오차가 가장 작게 나타났으며 명료도의 경우 단순한 모델의 오차가 가장 작았다. 그러나 단순한 모델은 저주파수 대역의 오차가 상대적으로 매우 크게 나타남에 따라 3D 모델을 구체적으로 작성할수록 보다 정밀한 음향예측이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 주관적 청감실험 결과, 물리적 오차가 작을수록 가청화시재가 원음과 가장 유사하게 들린다고 응답함으로써 3D 모델의 구체성이 가청화시제 제작에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
