3차원 좌표변환에 의한 입체 컴퓨터 형성 홀로그램에 관한 연구 (A Study on Three-Dimensional Computer Generated Holograms by 3-D Coordinates Transformation)

  • 3차원 물체의 합성된 컴퓨터 형성 홀로그램(CGH)을 새로운 형태의 3차원 좌표변환 기술을 사용하여 제작하였다. 제작될 3차원 물체는 CCD 카메라를 사용하여 시야각도(viewing angle)를 변화시키면서 여러개의 영상으로 기록하였다. 이렇게 얻어진 영상 데이터는 2차원 복소 매트릭스를 사용하여 수학적인 방법으로 계산되고, 최종적으로 합성된 3차원 CGH로 부호화하였다.

  • Nondestructive methods such as ultrasonic and magnetic resonance imaging systems have many advantages but still much expensive. And they do not give exact color information and may miss some details. If it is allowed to destruct some biological objects to get interior and exterior informations, constructing 3D image form a series of slices sectional images gives more useful information with relatively low cost. In this paper, a PC based automatic 3D model generator was developed. The system was composed of three modules. The first module was the object handling and image acquisition module, which fed and sliced the object sequentially and maintains the paraffine cool to be in solid state and captures the sectional image consecutively. The second one was the system control and interface module, which controls actuators for feeding, slicing, and image capturing. And the last was the image processing and visualization module, which processed a series of acquired sectional images and generated 3D volumetric model. Handling module was composed of the gripper, which grasped and fed the object and the cutting device, which cuts the object by moving cutting edge forward and backward. sliced sectional images were acquired and saved in a form of bitmap file. 2D sectional image files were segmented from the background paraffine and utilized to generate the 3D model. Once 3-D model was constructed on the computer, user could manipulated it with various transformation methods such as translation, rotation, scaling including arbitrary sectional view.

서비스 로봇을 위한 지시 물체 분할 방법 (Segmentation of Pointed Objects for Service Robots)

  • This paper describes how a person extracts a unknown object with pointing gesture while interacting with a robot. Using a stereo vision sensor, our proposed method consists of two stages: the detection of the operators' face, the estimation of the pointing direction, and the extraction of the pointed object. The operator's face is recognized by using the Haar-like features. And then we estimate the 3D pointing direction from the shoulder-to-hand line. Finally, we segment an unknown object from 3D point clouds in estimated region of interest. On the basis of this proposed method, we implemented an object registration system with our mobile robot and obtained reliable experimental results.

  • In this paper, a novel approach for robust recognition of partially occluded 3-D target objects from computationally reconstructed integral images is proposed. The occluding object noises are selectively removed from the picked-up elemental images and performance of the proposed integral imaging-based 3-D target recognition system can be improved.

  • In this paper, we propose a 3-D animation system to track and analyze motion of the human object. The proposed system consists of two separate layers: motion analysis layer and 3-D model registration layer. Following the MPEG-4 SNHC standard, we generate object motion using body definition and animation parameters. In the implemented system, we acquire human motion data from a single camera and extract body definition parameters from arbitrary VRML human models.

  • 눈 움직임만으로 물건을 집고자 하는 사지장애자를 위한 웨어러블 로봇을 소개한다. 이 로봇에서는 시선위치추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 파지하고자 하는 물체를 보는 동공의 움직임을 확인하여 물체의 2차원 정보를 구하고 물체까지의 깊이는 로봇 어깨위에 올려져 있는 Kinect라는 장치를 사용하여 구한다. 물체와 로봇, 그리고 카메라간의 좌표변환과 매칭을 통하여 최종 물체의 3차원 정보를 추출하고 이 정보는 로봇제어기인 DSP로 전송되어 물체를 잡을 수 있도록 제어하게 되어 궁극적으로 사용자가 물체를 정확히 잡을 수 있도록 한다.

  • 도심 항공 모빌리티(UAM)는 도시의 교통 혼잡과 환경 문제에 혁신적인 해결책을 제공하는 새로운 교통수단으로 부상하고 있다. 특히 전기수직이착륙(eVTOL) 항공기를 통해 도심 내 이동성을 향상시키고 교통 혼잡을 감소시키며 환경오염을 줄이는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 그러나 UAM 시스템의 성공적인 구현과 운영은 센서 기술과 같은 고도로 발전된 기술적 인프라에 의존을 많이 하게 된다. 이러한 센서 기술 중에서도 3D LiDAR (light detection and ranging) 시스템은 복잡한 도심 환경에서 비행체가 장애물을 감지하고 경로를 생성하는 데 필수적이다. 본 논문은 3D LiDAR를 이용한 객체 검출 기능의 중요성과 성능을 중심으로 LiDAR 기반 인지 솔루션 개발의 도전 과제에 초점을 맞추며, LiDAR 데이터 처리 알고리즘과 객체 검출 방법론을 통합하여 비행체의 안전 운항에 기여하는 인지 솔루션의 효과를 실험적으로 검증한다.

  • In this paper, we present the 3DOF force-reflecting interface which allows to acquire force of object within a virtual environment. This system is composed of device, virtual environment model, and force-reflecting rendering algorithm. We design a 3 DOF force-reflecting device using the parallel linkage, torque shared by wire, and the controller of system applied by impedance control algorithm. The force-reflecting behaviour implemented as a function position is equivalent to controlling the mechanical impedance felt by the user. Especially how force should be supplied to user, we know using a God-Object algorithm. As we experiment a system implemented by the interface of 3D virtual object and 3DOF force-reflecting interface, we can feel a contact, non-contact of 3D virtual object surface and sensing of push button model.

가상 평면 기법을 이용한 3차원 기하 정보 획득 알고리즘 (The 3D Geometric Information Acquisition Algorithm using Virtual Plane Method)

  • This paper presents an algorithm to acquire 3D geometric information using a virtual plane method. The method to measure 3D information on the plane is easy, because it's not concerning value on the z-axis. A plane can be made by arbitrary three points in the 3D space, so the algorithm is able to make a number of virtual planes from feature points on the target object. In this case, these geometric relations between the origin of each virtual plane and the origin of the target object coordinates should be expressed as known homogeneous matrices. To include this idea, the algorithm could induce simple matrix formula which is only concerning unknown geometric relation between the origin of target object and the origin of camera coordinates. Therefore, it's more fast and simple than other methods. For achieving the proposed method, a regular pin-hole camera model and a perspective projection matrix which is defined by a geometric relation between each coordinate system is used. In the final part of this paper, we demonstrate the techniques for a variety of applications, including measurements in industrial parts and known patches images.

면 법선 영상 기반형 3차원 물체인식에서의 새로운 매칭 기법 (A New Matching Strategy for SNI-based 3-D Object Recognition)

  • In this paper, a new matching strategy for 3-D object recognition, based on the Surface Normal Images (SNIs), is proposed. The matching strategy using the similarity decision function [9,10] lost the efficiency and the reliability of matching, because all features of models within model base must be compared with the scene object features, and the weights of the attributes of features is given by heuristic manner. However, the proposed matching strategy can solve these problems by using a new approach. In the approach, by searching the model base, a model object whose features are fully matched with the features of sceme object is selected. In this paper, the model base is constructed for the total 26 objects, and systhetic and real range images are used in the test of the system operation. Experimental result is performed to show the possibility that this strategy can be effectively used for the SNI based recognition.
