In this paper, waveguide-based power combiner using conventional slotline-to-microstrip transition was proposed at Ka-band. The proposed 2-way and 4-way power combiner consist of waveguide-to-slotline transition, two or four slotline-to-microstrip transitions, and impedance matching networks. Their structures were simulated and optimized by 3-D FEM simulation. The 2-way power combiner showed a very low back-to-back insertion loss of 1.0 dB and return loss better than 15 dB from 25.7 GHz to 29.8 GHz except the resonant frequency. The 2-way power combining approach was extended to 4-way power combining using slotline tee junction. The 4-way power combiner showed the similar performance to that of 2-way power combiner with 2 GHz smaller bandwidth.

This paper analyzed the circularly polarized conformal microstrip patch antennal using the unsplit anisotropic perfectly matched layer(UAPML) method. Also, this paper are treated effectively the edge and corner parts on the 3 dimensional UAPML. Especially, to analyze microstrip patch antennas with the coaxial feeder line, it was applied to mixed the UAPML with Mur's first order absorbing boundary condition. Therefore this paper suggest the new the method to mix the UAPML with Mur's first order absorbing boundary condition. The results show the time responses of electromagnetics $E_z$ and $H\chi'$, input impedances of coaxial cable and radiation patterns of strip parchs on the single and the array patchs with central frequencies 1.575 GHz, 1.778 GHz and 4.8 GHz in L-band and C-band for mobile communication. The results of this paper shows that its results was compared the Mur's first order abc and mixed the second order dispersion boundary condition(SDBC) with the Mur's first order absorbing boundary condition. In accordance with, the validity of the method is confirmed.

A compact Q-band waveguide-to-microstrip transition for UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) radiometer applications is presented. The key features of this transition are simplicity, compactness, easy matching, and lower sensitivity to the dimensions and fabrication tolerances. The simple E-plane patch-type design is insensitive to the backshort cavity enclosure and misalignment between the waveguide and microstrip substrate. The primary parameters are optimized using a three-dimensional(3D) electromagnetic simulator(ANSYS HFSS). It exhibited better than 20-dB return loss at mid-band frequencies with less than 1-dB insertion loss for the back-to-back transition, and a return loss better than 15 dB over the frequency range of 36 GHz to 42 GHz.
In this paper, we presents visual effect(water, fire, smoke) simulation and interaction system for TV virtual studio. TV virtual studio seamlessly synthesizes CG background and a live performer standing on a TV green studio. Previous virtual studios focus on the registration of CG background and a performer in real world. In contrast to the previous systems, we can afford to make new types of TV scenes more easily by simulating interactive visual effects according to a performer. This requires the extraction of the performer motion to be transformed 3D vector field and simulate fluids by applying the vector field to Navier Stokes equation. To add realism to water VFX simulation and interaction, we also simulate the dynamic behavior of splashing fluids on the water surface. To provide real-time recording of TV programs, real-time VFX simulation and interaction is presented through a GPU programming. Experimental results show this system can be used practically for realizing water, fire, smoke VFX simulation and the dynamic behavior simulation of fish flocks inside ocean.

Generating an epipolar image which is removed a y-parallax from an original image is an essential technique for creating a 3D stereoscopic model or producing a map. In epipolar image production, there is a method of generating epipolar images by estimating the relative orientation parameters after matching the extracted distinct points in two images and a method of generating epipolar images by using the baseline and rotation angles of the two images after determining the exterior orientation parameters In this study, it was proposed a methodology to generate epipolar images using direction cosine in the exterior orientation parameters of the input images, and a method to use the transformation matrix for easy calculation when converting from the original image to the epipolar image. The applicability of the proposed methodology was evaluated by using images taken from the fixed wing and rotary wing drones. As a result, it was found that epipolar images were generated regardless of the type of drones.
Although the manufacturing time series data clustering technique is an important grouping solution in the field of detecting and improving manufacturing large data-based equipment and process defects, it has a disadvantage of low accuracy when applying the existing static data target clustering technique to time series data. In this paper, an evolutionary computation-based time series cluster analysis approach is presented to improve the coherence of existing clustering techniques. To this end, first, the image shape resulting from the manufacturing process is converted into one-dimensional time series data using linear scanning, and the optimal sub-clusters for hierarchical cluster analysis and split cluster analysis are derived based on the Pearson distance metric as the target of the transformation data. Finally, by using a genetic algorithm, an optimal cluster combination with minimal similarity is derived for the two cluster analysis results. And the performance superiority of the proposed clustering is verified by comparing the performance with the existing clustering technique for the actual manufacturing process image.
Ship is a huge system including a variety of pipe arrangements. Pipes are installed according to the design layout, however the end poistion of pipes are not well matched owing to its measurement and construction errors. In this situation, the customized pipe fitting is frequently designed to connect with both pipes, the position of which are manually measured. This paper focused that these two coordinates are measured by point cloud from RGBD sensor and the relative transformation induced by positional and orientational differences is calculated by inverse kinematics in robotics theory. Therefore, the result applies for the methodology of the pipe connection design. The pipe coordinate that is estimated by the matching and the probabilistic RANSAC method will be verified by experiments. The kinematic design parameters are computationally calculated by using the minimum degree of freedom that connects both pipe coordinates.

Free-view, auto-stereoscopic video service is a next generation broadcasting system which offers a three-dimensional video, images of the various point are needed. This paper proposes a method that parallelizes the algorithm for arbitrary intermediate view-point image fast generation and make it faster using General Propose Graphic Processing Unit(GPGPU) with help of the Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA). It uses a parallelized stereo-matching method between the leftmost and the rightmost depth images to obtain disparity information and It use data calculated disparity increment per depth value. The disparity increment is used to find the location in the intermediate view-point image for each depth in the given images. Then, It is eliminate to disocclusions complement each other and remaining holes are filled image using hole-filling method and to get the final intermediate view-point image. The proposed method was implemented and applied to several test sequences. The results revealed that the quality of the generated intermediate view-point image corresponds to 30.47dB of PSNR in average and it takes about 38 frames per second to generate a Full HD intermediate view-point image.
For disaster management and mitigation of earthquakes in Korea Peninsula, active fault investigation has been conducted for the past 5 years. In particular, investigation of sediment-covered active faults integrates geomorphological analysis on airborne LiDAR data, surface geological survey, and geophysical exploration, and unearths subsurface active faults by trench survey. However, the fault traces revealed by trench surveys are only available for investigation during a limited time and restored to the previous condition. Thus, the geological data describing the fault trench sites remain as the qualitative data in terms of research articles and reports. To extend the limitations due to temporal nature of geological studies, we utilized a terrestrial LiDAR to produce 3D point clouds for the fault trench sites and restored them in a digital space. The terrestrial LiDAR scanning was conducted at two trench sites located near the Yangsan Fault and acquired amplitude and reflectance from the surveyed area as well as color information by combining photogrammetry with the LiDAR system. The scanned data were merged to form the 3D point clouds having the average geometric error of 0.003 m, which exhibited the sufficient accuracy to restore the details of the surveyed trench sites. However, we found more post-processing on the scanned data would be necessary because the amplitudes and reflectances of the point clouds varied depending on the scan positions and the colors of the trench surfaces were captured differently depending on the light exposures available at the time. Such point clouds are pretty large in size and visualized through a limited set of softwares, which limits data sharing among researchers. As an alternative, we suggested Potree, an open-source web-based platform, to visualize the point clouds of the trench sites. In this study, as a result, we identified that terrestrial LiDAR data can be practical to increase reproducibility of geological field studies and easily accessible by researchers and students in Earth Sciences.

$\underline{Purpose}$: To develop a wireless CCTV system in semi-beam's eye view (BEV) to monitor daily patient setup in radiation therapy. $\underline{Materials\;and\;Methods}$: In order to get patient images in semi-BEV, CCTV cameras are installed in a custom-made acrylic applicator below the treatment head of a linear accelerator. The images from the cameras are transmitted via radio frequency signal (${\sim}2.4\;GHz$ and 10 mW RF output). An expected problem with this system is radio frequency interference, which is solved utilizing RF shielding with Cu foils and median filtering software. The images are analyzed by our custom-made software. In the software, three anatomical landmarks in the patient surface are indicated by a user, then automatically the 3 dimensional structures are obtained and registered by utilizing a localization procedure consisting mainly of stereo matching algorithm and Gauss-Newton optimization. This algorithm is applied to phantom images to investigate the setup accuracy. Respiratory gating system is also researched with real-time image processing. A line-laser marker projected on a patient's surface is extracted by binary image processing and the breath pattern is calculated and displayed in real-time. $\underline{Results}$: More than 80% of the camera noises from the linear accelerator are eliminated by wrapping the camera with copper foils. The accuracy of the localization procedure is found to be on the order of $1.5{\pm}0.7\;mm$ with a point phantom and sub-millimeters and degrees with a custom-made head/neck phantom. With line-laser marker, real-time respiratory monitoring is possible in the delay time of ${\sim}0.17\;sec$. $\underline{Conclusion}$: The wireless CCTV camera system is the novel tool which can monitor daily patient setups. The feasibility of respiratory gating system with the wireless CCTV is hopeful.
