Development of Prediction Model for Prevalence of Metabolic Syndrome Using Data Mining: Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Study (국민건강영양조사를 활용한 대사증후군 유병 예측모형 개발을 위한 융복합 연구: 데이터마이닝을 활용하여)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the attributes influencing the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and develop the prediction model for metabolic syndrome over 40-aged people from Korea Health and Nutrition Examination Study 2012. The researcher chose the attributes for prediction model through literature review. Also, we used the decision tree, logistic regression, artificial neural network of data mining algorithm through Weka 3.6. As results, social economic status factors of input attributes were ranked higher than health-related factors. Additionally, prediction model using decision tree algorithm showed finally the highest accuracy. This study suggests that, first of all, prevention and management of metabolic syndrome will be approached by aspect of social economic status and health-related factors. Also, decision tree algorithms known from other research are useful in the field of public health due to their usefulness of interpretation.

  • In the 21st century, there will be a robot revolution. Only several years ago, industrial robots were the mainstream in the robot market; however, diverse type of robots are currently entering into our daily lives for various purposes, and the robot that thinks and behaves very similarly to human will appear in the near future. However, there is a critical view about the robot period. This means that the robot revolution will change even the framework of our entire society and human life style, and it is necessary to have robot education. It is necessary to start robot education in the elementary school curriculum with a view to enhancing interest in basic science and scientific technology and cultivating creative talents who may adapt themselves to a robotic society. However, there is no systematic robot curriculum owing to insufficient perception of the need of robot education and the educational utilization of robots. Under these circumstances, robot education is largely dependent on education for students with special talents and aptitudes run by private organizations. This paper conducted the following research in order to develop a robot curriculum in education for the gifted elementary students of computer science. First, the paper identified problems by analyzing the robot curriculum from a micro perspective after selecting three organizations that are relatively well perceived out of private organizations that operate robot education for the gifted elementary students of computer science. Second, the paper developed a robot curriculum in education for the gifted elementary students of computer science based on the framework of a robot curriculum run by private sector. Third, the validity of the robot curriculum developed in this paper was verified by a professional group comprising mainly persons in charge of robot curriculum development at private sector and lecturers for robot education for the gifted elementary students of computer science.

  • 오늘날 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 관련 기술 연구는 사용자가 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 네트워크에 접근해 다양한 컴퓨터 관련 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있는 방법에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 이 처럼 시간과 공간의 한계를 뛰어 넘은 네트워크로의 자유로운 접근은 일상 생활의 패러다임을 바꾸어 놓게 될 것이다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 통해 가장 큰 변화가 일어나는 분야는 일반 가정환경에서 일어나는 인텔리전트 홈 네트워크 (Intelligent Home Network) 라고 할 수 있다. 집에 들어오면, 자동으로 문을 열어주고, 불을 켜주며, 놓쳤던 TV 프로그램을 자동으로 녹화해 놓았다가 원하는 시간에 보여주고, 적당한 시간에 목욕물을 미리 받아준다. 또한 집밖으로 나가기 전, 일기예보에 따라 우산을 챙겨주고, 일정을 확인시켜주며 입고 나갈 옷을 골라줄 수도 있다. 이 모든 일들이 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술이 가져올 인텔리전트 홈 네트워크의 모습이다. 그러나, 모든 사용자에게 효과적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 홈 네트워크 상의 자원 관리에서 일어날 수 있는 에이전트들간의 자원 접근 권한 충돌을 효율적으로 방지할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 자원관리 특성은 점유의 연속성, 자원 사이의 연관성, 그리고 자원과 사용자 사 사이의 연계성의 3 가지 특성을 지니고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 일어날 수 있는 자원 충돌 상황을 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 자원 협상 방법을 제안한다. 본 방법은 자원 관리 특성을 바탕으로 시간논리에 기반을 둔 자원 선점과 분배 규칙으로 구성된다.트 시스템은 b-Cart를 기반으로 할 것으로 예측할 수 있다.타났다. 또한, 스네이크의 초기 제어점을 얼굴은 44개, 눈은 16개, 입은 24개로 지정하여 MER추출에 성공한 영상에 대해 스네이크 알고리즘을 수행한 결과, 추출된 영역의 오차율은 각각 2.2%, 2.6%, 2.5%로 나타났다.해서 Template-based reasoning 예를 보인다 본 방법론은 검색노력을 줄이고, 검색에 있어 Feasibility와 Admissibility를 보장한다.매김할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve. A Study of The Determinants of Turnover Intention and Organizational Commitment by Data Mining (데이터마이닝을 활용한 이직의도와 조직몰입의 결정요인에 대한 연구)

  • In this article, data mining simulation is applied to find a proper approach and results of analysis for study of variables related to organization. Also, turnover intention and organizational commitment are used as target (dependent) variables in this simulation. Classification and regression tree (CART) with ensemble methods are used in this study for simulation. Human capital corporate panel data of Korea Research Institute for Vocation Education & Training (KRIVET) is used. The panel data is collected in 2005, 2007, and 2009. Organizational commitment variables are analyzed with combined measure variables which are created after investigation of reliability and single dimensionality for multiple-item measurement details. The results of this study are as follows. First, major determinants of turnover intention are trust, communication, and talent management-oriented trend. Second, the main determining factors for organizational commitment are trust, the number of years worked, innovation, communication. CART with ensemble methods has two ensemble CART methods which are CART with Bagging and CART with Arcing. Comparing two methods, CART with Arcing (Arc-x4) extracted scenarios with very high coefficients of determination. In this study, a scenario with maximum coefficient of determinant and minimum error is obtained and practical implications are presented. Using one of data mining methods, CART with ensemble method. Also, the limitation and future research are discussed.

  • 수공구조물의 설계, 수자원 관리계획의 수립, 재해영향 검토 등을 수행할 때, 재현기간에 따른 확률개념의 강우량, 홍수량, 저수량 등을 산정하여 사용하게 되며, 보통 대상지역의 장기 수문관측 자료를 이용하여 수문사상의 확률분포를 산정한 후 재현기간을 연장하여 원하는 설계빈도에 해당하는 양을 추정하게 된다. 미계측지역 또는 관측자료의 보유기간이 짧은 지역의 경우는 지역빈도 분석 결과를 이용하게 된다. 지역빈도해석을 위해서는 강우자료들의 동질성을 파악하는 것이 가장 기본적인 과정이 되며 이를 위해 통계학적인 범주화분석이 선행되어야 한다. 지점 빈도분석의 수문학적 동질성 판별을 위해 L-moment 방법, K-means 방법에 의한 군집분석 등이 주로 사용되며 관측소 위치좌표를 이용한 공간보간법을 적용하여 시각화하고 있다. 강수량은 시공간적으로 변하는 수문변량으로서 강수량의 시간적인 특성 또한 강수량의 특성을 정의하는데 매우 중요한 요소이다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구를 통해 강수지점의 공간적인 좌표 및 강수량의 양적인 범주화에 초점을 맞춘 기존 지역빈도분석의 범주화 과정에 덧붙여 시간적인 영향을 고려할 수 있는 요소들을 결정하고 이를 활용할 수 있는 범주화 과정을 제시하고자 한다. 즉, 극치강수량의 발생 시기에 대한 정량적인 분석이 가능한 순환통계기법을 이용하여 관측 지점별 시간 통계량을 산정하고, 이를 극치강수량과 결합하여 시 공간적인 특성자료를 생성한 후 이를 이용한 군집화 해석 모형을 개발하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 분석 과정에 있어서 시간속성의 정량화 및 일반화는 순환통계기법을 사용하였으며, 극치강수량과 발생시점의 속성자료는 각각의 평균과 표준편차를 이용하였다. K-means 알고리즘을 이용해 결합자료를 군집화 하고, L-moment 방법으로 지역화 결과에 대한 검증을 수행하였다. 속성 결합 자료의 군집화 효과는 모의데이터 실험을 통해 확인하였으며, 우리 나라의 58개 기상관측소 자료를 이용하여 분석을 수행하였다. 예비해석 단계에서 100회의 군집분석을 통해 평균적인 centroid를 산정하고, 해당 값을 본 해석의 초기 centroid로 지정하여, 변동적인 클러스터링 경향을 안정화시켜 해석이 반복됨에 따라 군집화 결과가 달라지는 오류를 방지하였다. 또한 K-means 방법으로 계산된 군집별 공간거리 합의 크기에 따라 군집번호를 부여함으로써 군집의 번호순서대로 물리적인 연관성이 인접하도록 설정하였으며, 군집간의 경계선을 추출할 때 발생할 수 있는 오류를 방지하였다. 지역빈도분석 결과는 3차원 Spline 기법으로 도시하였다.

Flow Visualization in the Branching Duct by Using Particle Imaging Velocimetry (입자영상유속계를 이용한 분기관내 유동가시화)

  • The objective of this study is to analyse the flow field in the branching duct by visualizing the flow phenomena using the PIV system. A bifurcation model is fabricated with transparent acrylic resin to visualize the whole flow field with the PIV system. Water was used as the working fluid and the conifer powder as the tracer particles. The single-frame and two-frame methods of the PIV system and 2-frame of the grey level correlation method are applied to obtain the velocity vectors from the images captured in the flow filed. The velocity distributions in a lid-driven cavity flow are compared with the so-called standard experimental data, which was obtained from by 4-frame method in order to validate experimental results of the PIV measurements. The flow patterns of a Newtonian fluid in a branching duct were successfully visualized by using the PIV system and the sub-pixel and the area interpolation method were used to obtain the final velocity vectors. The velocity vectors obtained from the PIV system are in good agreement with the numerical results of the 3-dimensional branch flow. The results of numerical analyses and the PIV experiments for the three-dimensional flows in the branch ing duct show the recirculation zone distal to the branching point and the sizes of the recirculation length and height of the tow different methods are in good agreement.

  • This study clarified the big ideas related to teaching addition and subtraction of fractions with different denominators based on quantitative reasoning with unit and recursive partitioning. An analysis of this study urged us to re-consider the content related to the addition and subtraction of fraction. As such, this study analyzed textbooks and teachers' manuals developed from the fourth national mathematics curriculum to the most recent 2009 curriculum. In addition and subtraction of fractions with different denominators, it must be emphasized the followings: three-levels unit structure, fixed whole unit, necessity of common measure and recursive partitioning. An analysis of this study showed that textbooks and teachers' manuals dealt with the fact of maintaining a fixed whole unit only as being implicit. The textbooks described the reason why we need to create a common denominator in connection with the addition of similar fractions. The textbooks displayed a common denominator numerically rather than using a recursive partitioning method. Given this, it is difficult for students to connect the models and algorithms. Building on these results, this study is expected to suggest specific implications which may be taken into account in developing new instructional materials in process.

Extensional Buckling Analysis of Asymmetric Curved Beams Using DQM (미분구적법(DQM)을 사용한 비대칭 곡선 보의 신장 좌굴해석)

  • Curved beam structures are generally used as components in structures such as railroad bridges and vehicles. The stability analysis of curved beams has been studied by a large number of researchers. Due to the complexities of structural components, it is difficult to obtain an analytical solution for any boundary conditions. In order to overcome these difficulties, the differential quadrature method (DQM) has been applied for a large number of cases. In this study, DQM was used to solve the complicated partial differential equations for buckling analysis of curved beams. The governing differential equation was deduced and solved for beams subjected to uniformly distributed radial loads. Critical loads were calculated with various opening angles, boundary conditions, and parameters. The results of the DQM were compared with exact solutions for available cases, and the DQM gave outstanding accuracy even when only a small number of grid points was used. Critical loads were also calculated for the in-plane inextensional buckling of the asymmetric curved beams, and two theories were compared. The study of a beam with extensibility of the arch axis shows that the effects on the critical loads are significant.

Field Phenotyping of Plant Height in Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) using UAV Imagery (드론 영상을 이용한 케나프(Hibiscus cannabinus L.) 작물 높이의 노지 표현형 분석)

  • To use kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) as a fiber and livestock feed, a high-yielding variety needs to be identified. For this, accurate phenotyping of plant height is required for this breeding purpose due to the strong relationship between plant height and yield. Plant height can be estimated using RGB images from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV-RGB) and photogrammetry based on Structure from Motion (SfM) algorithms. In kenaf, accurate measurement of height is limited because kenaf stems have high flexibility and its height is easily affected by wind, growing up to 3 ~ 4 m. Therefore, we aimed to identify a method suitable for the accurate estimation of plant height of kenaf and investigate the feasibility of using the UAV-RGB-derived plant height map. Height estimation derived from UAV-RGB was improved using multi-point calibration against the five different wooden structures with known heights (30, 60, 90, 120, and 150 cm). Using the proposed method, we analyzed the variation in temporal height of 23 kenaf cultivars. Our results demontrated that the actual and estimated heights were reliably comparable with the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.80 and a slope of 0.94. This method enabled the effective identification of cultivars with significantly different heights at each growth stages.

A Study on the Abstraction of Movements Based on Laban's Space Theory "Choreutics" (라반의 공간조화이론 "코레우틱스(Choreutics)"를 활용한 움직임의 추상적 시각화 연구)

  • This paper presents a methodology for creating abstract animation based on the human movement theories originating from the work of dance theorist Rudolf von Laban. Laban Movement Analysis is a method and language for describing, visualizing, interpreting and documenting all varieties of human movement, and Choreutics is based on universal patterns of nature and of human as part of a universal design. Laban defines the space of movements in a profoundly dualistic way. Outwardly, his objective and scientific definitions provide a concrete base for generating human movements in computer graphics in terms of geometric and motion primitives such as points, lines, planes, polygons, linear and nonlinear movements. On the other hand, he also offers a system for understanding the subtle characteristics about the way a movement is dynamically done with respect to inner intention. Laban's interpretations of human motion can be utilized potentially in plastic arts and computer arts. Our work was inspired by those physical and psychological analyses and computer algorithms have been developed for creating abstract animation. We presented our computer animation works entitled "Choreography" in the exhibitions: a special section in "2015 Craft Trend Fair" and "Make Your Movement" held in the Korean Cultural Centre in UK, 2016. In this paper, we describe our ideas and methods for creating abstract object movements based on the Laban's motion representations.
