Derivation of Design Flood by Transformation -On the annual maximum series- (변환법에 의한 설계홍수량의 유도(I) - 연최고치계열을 중심으로-)

  • 설계홍수량의 유도를 위해 일차적으로 극치계열인 금강, 영산강 및 석진강 수개 3개 유역의 연최고치계열을 중심으로 하여 SMEMAX법, 역변환(Power Transformation) 및 2단계역변환(Two step Power Transformation, TSPT)법에 의해 척도분포의 정규화를 위한 변환법의 효율성 검정과 설계홍수량의 유도 및 비교분석을 수행한 결과 SMEMAX 법과 Power 변환법에서는 정규분포화를 왜곡도계수의 영으로의 접근 시도는 가능하나 소설도, 3으로의 조건을 충족시킬 수 없었던 반면 2단계역변환법에서는 소설도, 3에 매우 근접된 결과를 가져오므로서 척도분포의 정규화를 기할 수 있었고 각각의 변환법에 유도된 설계홍수량간의 비교분석에서는 SMEMAX 및 Power 변환법에 비해 2단계역변환방법에 의한 설계 홍수량이 재현기간 10년 이상 실측치에 보다 접근된 좋은 결과를 나타내었다.

A Study on Words Representing Human Visual Sensibility in Residential Environment (주거환경이 시각적 감성어휘)

  • 본 연구는 주거환경에 대한 시각 감성을 대표하는 어휘를 선발하기 위해 수행되었다. 어휘수집의 첫 단계에서는 주거환경 중 시각 환경에 대한 감성을 표현하는 어휘 235개를 수집하였다. 두 번째 단계에서는 수집된 어휘를 다른 피험자들에게 제시하여 주거 환경의 분위기를 나타내는 어휘 로서 적절함의 정도를 7점 척도로 표시하도록 하여 매우 적절하다고 판단된 24개의 어휘를 선발하였다. 세 번째 단계에서는 이들 어휘를 무선 적으로 두 개씩 짝을 지어 두 단어가 유사한 정도를 7점 척도로 평가하도록 하였다. 이 설문으로부터 나온 데이터에 대해 요인분석, 군집분석, 다차원분석을 실시하여 시각적 주거환경에 대한 9개의 감성어휘를 추출하였다. 이와 함께 최종 단계에서 연구자들이 400여장의 실물 사진 열람을 통해 추출된 9개의 감성 어휘가 실제 시각적 주거환경을 나타내는 데에 적함한지를 다시 한번 검증하여 다음과 같은 10개의 어휘를 선발하였다. ‘안락한’, ‘개방적인’, ‘세련된’, ‘경쾌한’, ‘개성적인’, ‘단순한’, ‘화려한’, ‘중후한’, ‘고풍스로운’, ‘전원적인’.

표준원전 모의 열수력 종합실험장치의 개념설계 및 저온관 소형냉각재상실사고 예비해석

  • 한국원자력연구소에서는 원자력중장기연구의 일환으로 한국형 표준원전을 모의하는 종합열수력실증실험을 계획하고 있으며, 현재 실험장치에 대한 척도해석(Scaling Analysis), 예비해석(Scoping Analysis) 및 개념설계를 수행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 영광 3/4호기를 대상으로 척도해석을 통하여 실험장치를 개념설계하고, 저온관 6인치 소형냉각재 상실사고에 대하여 예비해석을 수행한 결과를 보여준다. 개념설계된 실험장치는 높이비가 참조원자로와 동일하고, 체적비가 1/200이다. 실험장치의 개념설계는 이상유동에 대한 3단계 척도법을 적용하였으며, 개념설계의 타당성을 입증하기 위해 RELAP5/MOD3.1 코드를 사용하여 정상상태 및 저온관 6인치 소형냉각재 상실사고시 계통의 거동을 예비 계산하였다. 실험장치에 대한 예비해석결과 사고 거동이 참조원자로와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 수평관 및 주냉각재펌프의 척도기준이 사고의 진행과정에 영향을 미치는 중요한 인자로 밝혀졌다

Study on Scaling Analysis and Design Methodology of Passive Injection Test Facility (피동 주입 시험 장치의 척도 해석 및 설계 방법론 연구)

  • A design methodology of the modeled test facility to conserve an injection performance of a passive safety injection system is proposed. This safety injection system is composed of a core makeup tank and a safety injection tank. Individual tanks are connected with pressure balance line on the top side and injection line on the bottom side. It is important to conserve the scaled initial injection flow rate and total injection time since this system can be operated by small gravity head without any active pumps. Differential pressure distribution of the injection line induced by the gravity head is determined by the vertical length and elevation of each tank. However, the total injection time is adjustable by the flow resistance coefficient of the injection line. The scaling methodology for the tank and flow resistance coefficient is suggested. A key point of this test facility design is a scaling analysis for the flow resistance coefficient. The scaling analysis proposed on this paper is based on the volume scaling law with the same vertical length to the prototype and can be extended to a model with a reduced vertical length. A set of passive injection test were performed for the tanks with the same volume and the different length. The test results on the initial flow rate and total injection time showed the almost same injection characteristics and they were in good agreement with the design values.

The Subjective Assessment Testing of Basic and Transmission Video Quality for Digital Broadcasting Satellite (디지털 위성 방송 기본 화질과 전송 화질의 주관적 평가 시험)

  • Basic and transmission video quality testing was performed in real-time mode using hardware video codec based on MPEG-2 MP@ML standard including subsequent transmitting and receiving satellite simulator unit. The double-stimulus Impairment scale method and the double-stimulus continous quality scale method based on CCIR 500-5 were used as an evaluation method. The whole digital broadcasting satellite system consisting of MPEG-2 codec, system mux/demux, channel codec, channel, modem, antenna, etc. was put into the overall video quality testbed and the basic and transmission error quality assessment was performed at various bitrates and BER for an integrated system performance evaluation. In transmission error video quality testing, transmission error video quality maintained on average above 3.9 point on the 5-point scale. The low-bit rate quality such as film mode(@2Mbps) highly depended on the statitical characteristics of video source and maintained on average around 2.7 point.

The Relationship between Korean's Anniversary Days and Meals (한국인의 기념일 지향성과 식사의 관련성)

  • This study is performed to verify the relationship between Korean's anniversary days and meals. To do so, three steps are carried out. First, literature review and mini focus group interview are performed to list up important anniversary days in our culture. Second, anniversary orientation scale(22 items) is developed. Third, a survey(n=486) is implemented to identify the relationship among demographic variables such as sex, age, and perceived economic level, psychological ariables such as self-esteem, life satisfaction, depression, individuality-relatedness, interpersonal sensitivity, materialism as a value and perceived social support, and meal frequency. The results are as follows: Female is significantly higher than male in anniversary orientation. And younger people(20~39 years old) are significantly higher than older people(over 40ties) in anniversary orientation. The higher life satisfaction, perceived social support, relatedness, interpersonal sensitivity, and materialism are, the higher anniversary orientation is. Lastly, middle and high anniversary orientation groups showed more meal frequency at the anniversary day than low anniversary orientation group.

Student Understanding of Scale: From Additive to Multiplicative Reasoning in the Constriction of Scale Representation by Ordering Objects in a Number Line (척도개념의 이해: 수학적 구조 조사로 과학교과에 나오는 물질의 크기를 표현하는 학생들의 이해도 분석)

  • Size/scale is a central idea in the science curriculum, providing explanations for various phenomena. However, few studies have been conducted to explore student understanding of this concept and to suggest instructional approaches in scientific contexts. In contrast, there have been more studies in mathematics, regarding the use of number lines to relate the nature of numbers to operation and representation of magnitude. In order to better understand variations in student conceptions of size/scale in scientific contexts and explain learning difficulties including alternative conceptions, this study suggests an approach that links mathematics with the analysis of student conceptions of size/scale, i.e. the analysis of mathematical structure and reasoning for a number line. In addition, data ranging from high school to college students facilitate the interpretation of conceptual complexity in terms of mathematical development of a number line. In this sense, findings from this study better explain the following by mathematical reasoning: (1) varied student conceptions, (2) key aspects of each conception, and (3) potential cognitive dimensions interpreting the size/scale concepts. Results of this study help us to understand the troublesomeness of learning size/scale and provide a direction for developing curriculum and instruction for better understanding.

Scale Development of Family Strength for Dual-Earner Families with Children (자녀가 있는 맞벌이가정의 건강성 척도 개발 연구)

  • This study aims to develop a family strength scale for dual-earner families with young children. Based on existing theories of family strength and a review of related literature, we draw on 80 items to measure the strength of dual-earner families. Using a sample of 747 people, all members of dual-earner families with young children, we examined the items' factor structures. Using the statistical method, we checked the validity and reliability of these items. The final scale consisted of four domains with a total of 49 items : basic foundation (basic structure, economic life, and resource management), parenting, social interest and participation (citizenship, volunteer, leisure, network), work-life balance (balance between work and family, sharing the family role, equal division of role). The developed scale can be used in the field, such as in the Healthy Family Support Center or Family Center, in the context of education, counseling, or consulting for dual-earner families. In order to enhance the usefulness and efficiency of the scale, the adequate education system for the professionals who handle this scale in the field and updated data are required.

Structuralization Expected Outcome of Social Welfare Program Based on Community Network : Using Concept Mapping Method (지역사회네트워크를 기반으로 한 사회복지프로그램 기대성과 구조화 : 컨셉트 맵핑(concept mapping)을 활용하여)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the applicability of concept mapping in the process of planning social welfare program based on community network. Concept mapping is a kind of decision-making method that structuralized complex ideas and presented visually. Already, concept mapping is widely utilized in counseling, nursing and public health area to plan and evaluation their program and service. For recent, effectiveness of concept mapping has been reported. Concept mapping is a effective decision-making method that they recognize outcome gap between service provider and client, reach the outcome's consensus in counseling and nursing, medical area. In this study, we conceptualized 3rd year outcomes of Community Impact Project that was supported from Busan Chest using concept mapping. This CI project intervenes children and youth who lives in Buk-gu, Busan. Concept mapping has six stages-preparation, collecting ideas, structuring statements, representing statement, interpreting the results of the analysis, applying the results. We followed these steps. The participants were working at social welfare organizations, total 11 persons. We obtained 60 statements and analyzed using multidimensional scaling. we collected 5 clusters, cluster 1 'awareness and attitude change of children and youth', cluster 2 'social system change of children and youth', cluster 3 'friendly community formation', cluster 4 'community people change', cluster 5 'service provider change'. As a result, among total 5 clusters formed, 'awareness and attitude change of children and youth' came to the strongest outcomes. When concept mapping was applied to the program planning, the consensus of the opinion came easily in the decision-making process, and the participants were empowered. In addition, clear conceptualization on each element of the program planning was made.

Green Supply Chain Network Model: Genetic Algorithm Approach (그린 공급망 네트워크 모델: 유전알고리즘 접근법)

  • In this paper, we design a green supply chain (gSC) network model. For constructing the gSC network model, environmental and economic factors are taken into consideration in it. Environmental factor is to minimize the $CO_2$ emission amount emitted when transporting products or materials between each stage. For economic factor, the total cost which is composed of total transportation cost, total handling cost and total fixed cost is minimized. To minimize the environmental and economic factors simultaneously, a mathematical formulation is proposed and it is implemented in a genetic algorithm (GA) approach. In numerical experiment, some scales of the gSC network model is presented and its performance is analyzed using the GA approach. Finally, the efficiencies of the gSC network model and the GA approach are proved.
