Hemodynamic, Autonomic, and Vascular Function Changes after Sleep Deprivation for 24, 28, and 32 Hours in Healthy Men

  • This study aimed to analyze the impact of sleep deprivation (SD) on cardiac, hemodynamic, and endothelial parameters and to determine whether these are sustained with increased periods of SD. The study included 60 healthy men (mean: age $31.2{\pm}6.3years$; body mass index $24.6{\pm}2.6kg/m^2$). Hemodynamic parameters, parameters of myocardial contractility, spectral analysis of heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) variability, and the sensitivity of arterial baroreflex function were evaluated. Biochemical tests were performed to assess L-arginine (L-Arg) and asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) levels in reflection of endothelial nitric oxide synthase ability. Measurements of cardiovascular system parameters were obtained at 9 a.m. (baseline) on the first day of the study and 9 a.m. (24-h SD), 1 p.m. (28-h SD), and 5 p.m. (32-h SD) on the second day. Blood samples for evaluating biochemical parameters were obtained at baseline and after 24-h SD. ANOVA Friedman's test revealed a significant effect for time in relation to HR (${\chi}^2=26.04$, df=5, p=0.000), systolic BP (${\chi}^2=35.98$, df=5, p=0.000), diastolic BP (${\chi}^2=18.01$, df=5, p=0.003), and mean BP (${\chi}^2=28.32$, df=5, p=0.000). L-Arg and ADMA levels changed from $78.2{\pm}12.9$ and $0.3{\pm}0.1$ at baseline to $68.8{\pm}10.2$ and $0.4{\pm}0.1$ after 24-hr SD, respectively (p=0.001, p=0.004). SD in healthy men is associated with increases in BP, which appear to occur after 24 hours of SD and are maintained over increasing periods of SD. The observed hemodynamic changes may have resulted due to disordered vascular endothelial function, as reflected in alterations in L-Arg and ADMA levels.

비육기간이 홀스타인육 패티의 산화안정성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Fattening Period on the Oxidative Stability of Holstein Beef Patties)

  • 본 연구는 비육기간이 홀스타인육 패티의 산화안정성에 미치는 영향에 관해 구명하고자 실시하였다. 18, 21 및 24개월령 홀스타인 거세우 등심(M. longissimus dorsi) 패티를 $4^{\circ}C$에서 12일간 저장하면서 지방산화, 단백질산화, 육색소산화 및 육색을 분석하였다. 일반성분 중 지방 함량은 24개월령이 18개월령보다 높았다(p<0.05). 저장 중 TBARS 함량과 metmyoglobin 농도는 8일째부터 24개월령이 높았다(p<0.05). Conjugated dienes 함량은 저장 4일째부터 21과 24개월령이 높았으며(p<0.05), carbonyl 함량은 12일째에 24개월령이 높았다(p<0.05). 표면육색 중 명도($L^*$)는 저장 4일째부터 21과 24개월령이 낮은 경향을 보였다. 적색도($a^*$)는 24개월령이 저장기간 동안 가장 빨리 감소하였으나 (p<0.05), 황색도($b^*$)는 가장 높은 값을 유지하였다. 따라서 비육기간이 높을수록 홀스타인육 패티의 지방산화, 단백질산화, 육색소 산화가 촉진되었다. 특히 24개월령의 산화안정성이 가장 낮았다.

Affection of Blood Calcium, Ino-Phosphorus and Alkaline Phosphatase Activity Inject with Paraquat on Rats

  • Paraquat (N,N'-dimethyl-4,4'-bipyrrimidinium-dichlorides (PQ): MW 186.6) has been used to killing verierty of hubside plants. For this study were use Sprague-dawely rats (190$\pm$10 gm) and injection 40 mg/kg BW of paraquat (LD$_{50}$) to 24 hrs PQ and 4 days PQ group excepte normal control. For the measurement of blood calcium Ino-phosphorus and activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) by HITTACH 746. In serum phosphoruse of normal control were 8.0$\pm$1.2 mg/dl and 24 hrs PQ group were 8.9$\pm$1.0 mg/dl (P<0.05) and 4 days PQ group were 8.8$\pm$0.42 gmm/dl (P<0.05). In serum phosphorus were very sensitive uptaked to 10% within only 24 hours, but 4 days of PQ were similar uptake level than 24 hrs PQ. So this 8.9 mg/dl of sem phosphorus may be thought threshold level becouse does not more encrease. In blood calcium normal of rats were measured 9.51$\pm$0.3 mg/dl and 24 hrs of PQ group were 9.9$\pm$0.51 mg/dl (uptaked 4.5%, p>0.05). This uptake cannot fined meaning mathmatic statistics but 4 days PQ groups of calcium were 10.43$\pm$0.37 gm/dl (uptaked 10%, p<0.05). That 24 hrs PQ groups of caclium dose not reacted sensitive to irritated by PQ. So, when use oxidants of PQ, the blood calcium and Ino-phosphorus were linear correlated uptake that reasone thought may be move out form hardness bone tissue to in blood it does not take feeding to hunger for 4 days. In ALP normal of rats were measured 991$\pm$106 unit/L. In 24 hrs irritated PQ rats were fall down by 629$\pm$91 unit/L (P<0.001) but in 4 days of PQ rats were 792$\pm$85 unit/L (P<0.0011) that the activity of level were mild recovered activity from 629 unit (63%) to 792 unit (80%). So, that the reasone of ALP were very sensitive activity and reverse correlated to blood calcium or phosphorus irritated by PQ.

고에너지볼밀링을 이용한 MnFeP1-xAsx 나노분말의 합성 (Synthesis of MnFeP1-xAsx Nanocrystalline Powders by High-Energy Ball Milling)

  • Nanocrystalline powders of $MnFeP_{1-x}As_x$(x=0.45-0.6) have been synthesized by mechanochemical reaction at room temperature using high-energy ball milling from mixtures of Mn, Fe, P, and As Powders. It has been found that a mechanically induced self-propagating reaction (MSR) occurs within 2 hours of milling and it produces very fine polycrystalline powder having a hexagonal $Fe_2P$ structure. Further milling up to 24 hours did not change the crystalline and average particle sizes or the phase composition of the milling product. When x is 0.65, no reaction among the reactants has been observed even after 24 hours of milling. As the P content decreases in $MnFeP_{1-x}As_x$, the incubation time for the MSR has increased and the lattice constants in both a and c axes have changed.

마이크로플레이트 기반 생물반응기 시스템 (MABOOMSTM)을 이용한 대장균 배양공정에서 용존산소, pH 및 세포농도의 온라인 모니터링 연구 (Study on Online Monitoring of Dissolved Oxygen, pH and Cell Concentration in E. coli Cultivation Processes Using MABOOMSTM)

  • Dissolved oxygen, pH and cell concentration have been online monitored in cultivation processes with Escherichia coli by using a $MABOOMS^{TM}$ (microplate-based bioreactor with optical online monitoring systems). Fluorescent sensing membranes containing Ru ${(dpp)_3}^{2+}$ or HPTS were prepared with GA sol-gel matrix and coated into a well of a 24-well microplate. Fluorescence intensity was measured and correlated to the dissolved oxygen or pH. Cell concentrations were also online monitored by measuring optical reflectance at 650 nm. A well of a 24-well microplate could also be divided into 4 parts, each of which was coated with fluorescent sensing membranes for the detection of dissolved oxygen or pH. The 24-well microplate coated with fluorescent sensing membranes or a 4-divided sensing membrane. was used to online monitor the dissolved oxygen, pH and cell concentration during E. coli cultivations. The online monitoring results showed the characteristics of cell growth in cultivation processes very well.

복강경하 자궁근종절제술 후 적용한 온열요법이 가스 통증, 수술 후 회복력 및 체온불편감에 미치는 효과 (Influence of Gas Pain, Post-operative Resilience, and Body Temperature Discomfort in Laparoscopic Myomectomy Patients after Thermotherapy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of thermotherapy on gas pain, post-operative resilience, and body temperature discomfort among patients who received laparoscopic myomectomies. Methods: The experimental group consisted of 62 patients with thermotherapy and the control group consisted of 60 patients. Thermotherapy was applied individually to the experimental group four hours after surgery. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ${\chi}^2$-tests, and repeated measures of analysis of variance, using IBM SPSS Statistics version 18. Results: The results showed no significant interaction effect between the group and time of measurement in gas-related pain in the experimental group. For gas-related pain, there was significant difference in right shoulder pain at 24 hours (t=-4.222, p=.000), 48 hours (t=-3.688, p=.000), 72 hours (t=-2.250, p=.028), and left at 24 hours (t=-3.727, p=.000), 48 hours (t=-4.150, p=.000), and 72 hours (t=-2.482, p=.016) and both shoulders at 24 hours (t=-2.722, p=.009) and 48 hours (t=-2.525, p=.014). There was no significant difference in epigastric pain, excluding both epigastric pain at 48 hours (t=2.908, p=.005), 72 hours (t=3.010, p=.004), but there was a significant difference in objective body temperature discomfort (t=2.895, p=.008). Conclusion: Thermotherapy relieved shoulder gas-related pain and objective body temperature discomfort. It needs to be developed and applied to improve post-operative discomfort in patients with laparoscopic hysterectomies.

지방원으로 전지대두와 아마종실의 첨가가 반추위내 건물과 C18계-불포화지방산의 조성과 소실율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Full-Fat Soybeans and Linseed as Dietary Fat Sources on In Vitro Ruminal Disappearances of Dry Matter and C18-Unsaturated Fatty Acids and Fatty Acids Profile)

  • 본 연구는 불포화지방산원으로서 C18:2n-6이 풍부한 전지대두와 C18:3n-3이 풍부한 아마종실을 반추동물사료에 18% 배합하였을 때 반추위내 건물소실율과 불포화지방산 소실율 및 조성을 조사하기 위해 in vitro 배양장치에서 실시하였다. 배양시간은 0, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72시간에 걸쳐 실시하였고, 배양 종료 후 각각의 medium digesta는 동결 건조하여 건물과 각 지방산 함량을 분석하였다. 배양 3시간까지는 전지대두와 아마종실의 건물소실율에 차이가 없었으나, 배양 6시간이후부터는 아마종실이 전지대두보다 유의한 증가를 나타내었다 (p< 0.01). 하지만, 배양 48시간이후부터는 두 처리구간에 유의차가 나타나지 않았다 (p>0.05). 한편 가스생성량은 건물소실율과 비슷한 양상을 나타내어 아마종실이 전지대두보다 발효산물인 가스를 보다 많이 생성하나 두 처리구간에 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다(p>0.05). C18:0 함량은 배양시간이 증가함에 따라 전지대두와 아마종실 공히 증가하였고, 전지대두가 아마종실 보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). C18:1 조성은 전지대두가 아마종실구보다 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). C18:2와 C18:3의 digesta내 조성은 반추위내 수소첨가현상으로 배양시간이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. Digesta내 C18:2 함량은 C18:2가 풍부한 전지대두가 아마종실에 비하여 유의하게 증가하였고(p<0.05), C18:3 함량은 C18:3이 풍부한 아마종실이 전지대두에 비하여 유의하게 증가하였다 (p<0.001). 순수 C18:0 생산량 (%)은 C18:2n-6 함량이 풍부한 전지대두가 배양종료 후 332.24%로 아마종실의 133.16%보다 유의하게 증가하였다 (p<0.05). C18:1 소실율은 전지대두가 아마종실보다 유의하게 낮았고 (p<0.05), 특히 배양 3, 6, 12, 24시간에서 전지대두 처리구가 음 (-)값을 나타내었다. C18:2의 소실율은 배양시간이 증가함에 따라 증가하였고, 배양 72시간에 두 처리구 평균 93.31%로 광범위하게 소실되었으나, 처리구간 유의차는 나타나지 않았다 (p>0.05). C18:3 소실율은 C18:2 소실율과 마찬가지로 배양시간이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, 특히 아마종실이 전지대두에 비하여 배양 6시간이후부터 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). C18계 불포화지방산 소실율은 아마종실이 전지대두보다 유의하게 높았다 (p<0.05). 이상의 결과로부터 전지대두와 아마종실은 반추동물의 식품 내 유익한 불포화지방산이 침착하는데 충분한 가치가 있는 불포화지방산원이었고, C18계 불포화지방산은 반추위내에서 광범위하게 수소첨가되었다. 아울러 전지대두는 아마종실보다 complete biohydrogenation이 증가하였고, digesta 내 불포화지방산 함량은 사료 중 불포화지방산 함량과 밀접한 관계가 있었다.

응급실 간호사의 중증도분류 전문역량에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Professional Competencies in Triage Nurses Working in Emergency Departments)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the professional competency of nurses working in emergency medical institutions that use the Korean Triage Acuity Scale (KTAS), and to identify factors that affect them. Methods: This study collected data from 105 nurses working in emergency medical institutions from June to August 2020. For data analysis, descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression were performed using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results: As for the professional competency in triage, the higher the self-efficacy (β= 0.58, p< .001), the more experience they have in triage-related education (β= 0.30, p< .001), 2-4 years of clinical experience in emergency department (β= 0.19, p= .002), in case of triage alone (β= 0.24, p< .001), the higher the level of education a nurse has (β= 0.19, p= .003), the higher the professional competency in triage. These variables explained professional competency in a total of 64.2% of the participants (F = 38.30, p< .001). Conclusion: To improve nurses' professional competence in triage, introducing manpower expansion, financial support, and the provision of appropriate places is suggested. In addition, it is necessary to repeatedly provide educational opportunities in an environment similar to actual clinical practice by developing various scenarios and introducing simulations and web-based formats.

육용종계 산란기의 단백질 및 에너지 공급수준에 관한 연구

  • (시험 1) 육용종계 산란기의 단백질공급수준에 관한 연구: 육용종계 산란기의 적정 단백질공급수중을 구명하기 위하여 강원도 홍천군 북방면소재 홍천종계에서 케이지 사양형태의 아바에이카 육용종계 400수를 공시하여 2001년 2월부터 2001년 12월까지 40주간 (24∼64주령) 1일1수당 단백질 공급량을 18, 20, 22, 24g으로 달리하는 4개처리로 사양시험을 실시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 총 산란율과 종란 산란율은 모두 처리간에 유의적인 차이가 있었으며 (P<0.05), 20g 공급구가 가장 높았으나 18∼22g 공급구간에는 유의차가 없어고 24g 공급구는 20g 공급구에 비해 유의적으로 낮았다(P<0.05). 2) 평균난중은 1일 단백질공급수준이 증가할수록 증가하는 경향이었으나 (P<0.05), 20∼24g 공급구간에는 유의차가 없었고 18g 공급구만 24g 공급구와 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 성계생존율은 처리간에 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 3) 계란kg당 또는 계란1개당 사료요구율과 ME요구량은 모두 1일 CP 20g 공급구가 가장 우수했으며(P<0.05), 계란 kg당 사료요구율과 ME요구량에서는 CP 18g 공급구계란1개당 사료요구율과 ME요구량에서는 CP 24g 공급구만 CP 20g공급구오 유의차를 보였다(P<0.05). 4) 계란kg당 또는 계란 1개당 CP요구량은 모두 1일 단백질 공급량이 많아질수록 증가하였으나(P<0.05), 18g과 20g 공급구간에는 유의차가 없었다. 5) 계란kg당 또는 계란 1개당 사료비는 모두 CP 20g 공급구가 가장 우수하였으나(P<0.05), 계란1개당 사료비에서는 18∼20g 공급구간에 유의차가 없었다. (시험 2) 육용종계 하절기 산란피크계의 에너지 공급수준에 관한 연구: 육용종계 산란기의 적정 에너지공급체계를 구명하기 위하여 강원도 홍천군 북방면소재 홍천종계에서 케이지 사양형태의 로스 육용종계 400수를 공시하여 2002년 4월부터 2003년 1월까지 40주간 (24∼64주령) 표2와 같은 4가지 에너지공급체계로 사양시험을 실시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 총 산란율, 종란 산란율, 평균난중 및 성계 생존율은 모두 처리간에 유의적인 차이가 인정되지 않았으나, 산란율은 1일 에너지공급량이 많을수록 오히려 저하하는 경향을 보였다. 2) 사료요구율, ME 및 CP요구량과 사료비는 모두 1일 에너지공급량이 많아질수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다(P<0.05).
