A 3D Vision Inspection Method using One Camera (1대의 카메라를 이용한 3차원 비전 검사 방법)

  • In this paper, we suggest a 3D vision inspection method which use only one camera. If we have the database of pattern and can recognize the object, and also estimate the rotated shape of the parts, we can inspect the parts using only one image. We used the 3D database and the 2D geometrical pattern matching, and the rotation transition theory about the algorithm. As the results, we could have the capability of the recognition and inspection of the rotated object through the estimation of rotation an81e. We applied our suggested algorithm to the inspection of typical IC and capacitor, and compared our suggested algorithm with the conventional 2D inspection method and the feature space trajectory method.

Comparison of Accommodative Function of Young Adults in their Twenties Wearing Monovision, Modified Monovision and Multifocal Soft Contact Lenses (모노비전, 변형된 모노비전, 멀티포컬 콘택트렌즈로 교정 시 20대 성인의 조절기능 비교)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the accommodative function of young adult in their 20s wearing monovision, modified monovision, and aspheric multifocal contact lenses at near task. Methods: Thirty young adults ($23.53{\pm}2.37years$) were fitted with monovision, modified monovision (the application of single vision contact lenses and center-near low addition aspheric multifocal contact lenses), and aspheric center-near multifocal contact lenses. After wearing these modalities during a week for adaption, and after watching visual display at computer for inducing accommodative pressure for 1 hour. The following assessments of accommodative function were made: contrast visual acuity (VA) at distance and near; accommodative response; near accommodative facility; and negative relative accommodation (NRA)/positive relative accommodation (PRA). All measurements were carried out binocularly. Results: In binocular distance VA with contrast of 10%, monovision was the worst among the four modalities (p=0.005). In accommodative response at 1 m (1.00 D), monovision was the lowest (p<0.05) and accommodative response at 40 cm (2.50 D) with monovision was lower than that of modified monovision and multifocal contact lens (p<0.05). We also found that there were no significant differences in accommodative facility and NRA/PRA among the four modalities. Conclusions: In young adult (20s), monovision with low add reduced the accommodative response at near task, however, modified monovision and multifocal lens with center-near type did not affect accommodative relaxation.

Study on the 3D Assembly Inspection of Two-Step Variable Valve Lift Modules Using Laser-Vision Technology (레이저 비전을 이용한 2단 가변밸브 리프트 모듈의 3D 조립검사에 대한 연구)

  • A laser-vision-based height measurement system is developed and implemented for the inspection of two-step variable valve lift module assemblies. The proposed laser-vision sensor module is designed based on the principle of laser triangulation. This paper summarizes the work on 3D point cloud data collection and height difference measurements. The configuration of the measurement system and the proposed height measurement algorithm are described and analyzed in detail. Additional measurement experiments on the height differences of valves and lash adjusters of a two-step variable valve lift module were implemented repeatedly to evaluate the accuracy and repeatability of the proposed measurement system. Experimental results show that the proposed laser-vision-based height measurement system achieves high accuracy, repeatability, and stabilization for the inspection of two-step variable valve lift module assemblies.

A Study on Noise of Detonator and Explosive Initiation on Ground Surface (지표면에서 뇌관과 폭약 폭발 소음에 관한 연구)

  • 암반발파에 사용하고 있는 전기식 뇌관과 비전기식 연결뇌관 및 번치 커넥터(Bunch connector), 점화구, 에멀젼류 폭약이 지상에서 기폭 될 때 발생하는 소음을 비교 분석하였다. 에멀젼류 폭약의 폭발소음과 화공품의 기폭소음에 대한 추정식을 도출하였다. 에멀젼류 폭약의 폭발 소음 예측은 반대수 자승근 환산식, 번치 커넥터, 전기식 뇌관 및 비전기식 연결뇌관 및 점화구는 전대수식이 적합한 것으로 판단된다. 소음원으로부터 동일한 거리에서의 소음은 점화구, 비전기식 연결뇌관, 전기식 뇌관 및 번치 커넥터 순으로 높았다. 소음원으로부터 약20∼30m거리의 범위에서 번치 커넥터의 기폭소음은 에멀젼류 폭약 0.250kg의 폭발소음보다 약15.6∼20.2dB(A) 낮고, 비전기식 연결뇌관 보다 약13.5∼16.0dB(A) 높고, 전기식 뇌관 보다는 약6.5∼7.5dB(A) 높게 됨을 알 수 있었다. 점화구는 약20m 거리에서 약 7dB(A)이하 이었다. 에멀젼류 폭약의 폭발과 번치 커넥터의 기폭소음에 미치는 주(主)소음원은 에멀젼류 폭약의 약량과 번치 커넥터의 도폭선임을 확인하였다.

Design of Optimized RBFNNs based on Night Vision Face Recognition Simulator Using the 2D2 PCA Algorithm ((2D)2 PCA알고리즘을 이용한 최적 RBFNNs 기반 나이트비전 얼굴인식 시뮬레이터 설계)

  • In this study, we propose optimized RBFNNs based on night vision face recognition simulator with the aid of $(2D)^2$ PCA algorithm. It is difficult to obtain the night image for performing face recognition due to low brightness in case of image acquired through CCD camera at night. For this reason, a night vision camera is used to get images at night. Ada-Boost algorithm is also used for the detection of face images on both face and non-face image area. And the minimization of distortion phenomenon of the images is carried out by using the histogram equalization. These high-dimensional images are reduced to low-dimensional images by using $(2D)^2$ PCA algorithm. Face recognition is performed through polynomial-based RBFNNs classifier, and the essential design parameters of the classifiers are optimized by means of Differential Evolution(DE). The performance evaluation of the optimized RBFNNs based on $(2D)^2$ PCA is carried out with the aid of night vision face recognition system and IC&CI Lab data.

A Study on 6D Pose Estimation Method Using Industrial Robot and 2D Vision (산업용 로봇과 2D 비전을 연동한 6D 자세 추정 방법 연구)

  • This study presents and verifies an easy, fast, and relatively cost-effective method for 6D pose estimation using industrial robots for bin picking in the manufacturing sector. Specifically, it details a method involving the integration of industrial robots with 2D cameras to ① acquire multi-view images of objects and collect training data, ② select variables from the collected data and implement a linear regression model, and ③ apply the trained model to estimate, verify, and evaluate the 6D pose of objects on industrial robots. The proposed data collection method and implemented linear regression model demonstrated statistically significant results. The estimated 6D poses were validated against ground true values and evaluated in their application to industrial robots, confirming their validity. By using feature point information extracted from images instead of direct image inputs as inputs to the regression model, the data size was reduced, enabling direct embedding on the robot. This research approaches the problem of spatial coordinates in 3D from a data analysis perspective, rather than from geometrical or computer vision perspectives.

Emotional Characteristics in MBTI Personality Type and MMPI-A Scale of Science Gifted (한국과학영재학생의 MBTI 성격유형과 MMPI-A 척도에서 나타난 정서적 특징)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine emotional characteristics and to provide information about the special needs of counselling of science gifted in Korea. The subjects were 143 science gifted high school students in Busan that had been tested MBTI and MMPI-A. The distribution map of MBTI type was examined and Pearson's correlation, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis were used to analyse the relation between MBTI and MMPI-A through SPSS 17.0 program. The results showed as follows: first, ENTP, INTP, ISTJ personality types and NT temperament type were the most frequently from the distribution map of MBTI type. Second, F1, F2, F, Hs, D, Pt, Sc and Si scales of MMPI-A were positively related to I preference of MBTI and K and Ma scales of MMPI-A were significantly related to E preference of MBTI from Pearson's correlation. Third, The score of IN group was significantly more high in F1, Hs, D, SC and Si scales of MMPI-A than other group in the relation between two combination preferences of MBTI and scale of MMPI-A. The following results were same; IS group in D, Si scales, EN group in Ma scale, IT group in Hs, D, Pt and S scales, IF group in VRIN, D and Si scales, ET in Ma scale, IJ group in D and Si, IP group in F1, F, Hs, D, Hy, Pt, Sc and Si scales, EJ and EP groups in Ma scale. Finally, I preference of MBTI by F1, F2, F, Hs, D, Pt, Sc and Si scales of MMPI-A, E preference of MBTI by Ma scale of MMPI-A, F preference of MBTI by K scale of MMPI-A and P preference of MBTI by Hy scale of MMPI-A were significantly predicted from multiple regression analysis. Limitations of the current study and the suggestions for further research were offered.

Development of Web Based Mold Discrimination System using the Matching Process for Vision Information and CAD DB (비전정보와 캐드DB 매칭을 통한 웹 기반 금형 판별 시스템 개발)

  • The target of this study is development of web based mold discrimination system by matching vision information with CAD database. The use of 2D vision image makes possible speedy mold discrimination from many databases. The image processing such as preprocessing, cleaning is done for obtaining vivid image with object information. The web-based system is a program which runs to exchange messages between a server and a client by making of ActiveX control and the result of mold discrimination is shown on web-browser. For effective feature classification and extraction, signature method is used to make sensible information from 2D data. As a result, the possibility of proposed system is shown as matching feature information from vision image with CAD database samples.

Generating A Synthetic Multimodal Dataset for Vision Tasks Involving Hands (손을 다루는 컴퓨터 비전 작업들을 위한 멀티 모달 합성 데이터 생성 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 3D 메시 정보, RGB-D 손 자세 및 2D/3D 손/세그먼트 마스크를 포함하여 인간의 손과 관련된 다양한 컴퓨터 비전 작업에 사용할 수 있는 새로운 다중 모달 합성 벤치마크를 제안 하였다. 생성된 데이터셋은 기존의 대규모 데이터셋인 BigHand2.2M 데이터셋과 변형 가능한 3D 손 메시(mesh) MANO 모델을 활용하여 다양한 손 포즈 변형을 다룬다. 첫째, 중복되는 손자세를 줄이기 위해 전략적으로 샘플링하는 방법을 이용하고 3D 메시 모델을 샘플링된 손에 피팅한다. 3D 메시의 모양 및 시점 파라미터를 탐색하여 인간 손 이미지의 자연스러운 가변성을 처리한다. 마지막으로, 다중 모달리티 데이터를 생성한다. 손 관절, 모양 및 관점의 데이터 공간을 기존 벤치마크의 데이터 공간과 비교한다. 이 과정을 통해 제안된 벤치마크가 이전 작업의 차이를 메우고 있음을 보여주고, 또한 네트워크 훈련 과정에서 제안된 데이터를 사용하여 RGB 기반 손 포즈 추정 실험을 하여 생성된 데이터가 양질의 질과 양을 가짐을 보여준다. 제안된 데이터가 RGB 기반 3D 손 포즈 추정 및 시맨틱 손 세그멘테이션과 같은 품질 좋은 큰 데이터셋이 부족하여 방해되었던 작업에 대한 발전을 가속화할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 지능형 로봇에 사용되는 필수적인 여러 센서들 중 시각센서는 로봇 지각의 중추적인 역할을 담당한다. 로봇 시장의 확대와 함께 이러한 시각 센서를 기반으로 인간과 로봇과의 자연스러운 상호작용에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며 최근에 학교와 연구소를 중심으로 대상체의 삼차원 거리 영상 정보를 함께 얻을 수 있는 스테레오 비전 처리 기술 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 스테레오 비전 처리에 대한 국내외연구 개발 동향에 대해 살펴보고 ETRI에서 개발중인 지능형 로봇의 스테레오 비전 처리 기술에 대하여 소개한다.
