  • Since its declaration in the year 1986, the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion1 continues to guide the global practice of health promotion. This situation is also true in Japan, and recently the notion of health promotion generated two national health promotion and disease prevention agendas in Japan, Kenkou Nippon 21 (HEALTH21; Healthy Japan 2010)2 in the year 1999 and Sukoyaka Oyako 21 (CHILD21; Healthy Parents and Children 2010)3 in the year 2000. The apparent characteristics of these two agendas are their multiplicity of numerical objectives. HEALTH21 sets a goal to increase quality and years of healthy life.(omitted)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the edition of 21 of the Dewey Decimal Classificatin. Edition 21 includes major revisions of three schedules : 350-354 Public administration, 370 Education, and 560-590 Life sciences. The aim of Edition 21 was user convenience, Regularization, Faceting, Terminology, International needs and Cooperative development and Changes in the database. The Dewey Decimal Classification is preparing for the future in a number of ways. Editorial work is supported by a UNIX-based system and access to online bibliographic databases. Two edition of Electronic Dewey have been published and a Windows version have been published.

  • The vision for MPEG-21 is to define a multimedia framework to enable transparent and augmented use of multimedia resources across a wide range of networks and devices used by different communities MPEG-21 Event Reporting is required within the MPEG-21 Multimedia Framework in order to provide a standardized means for sharing information about Events amongst Peers and Users. There are several Time used in MPEG-21 Event Reporting. In this paper, we analyze and categorize various kinds of Time used in Event Reporting. And we define ERTimeType to be applied for every. Time used in Event Reporting and implement it by XML to support interoperability of standard. The ERTimeType structure we defined is established its objectivity as it is selected to 'ISO/IEC 21000-Part IS: Event Reporting WD 2.0'.

  • Salmonella typhi Ty21a is an attenuated strain of S. typhimurium and used for oral typhoid vaccine. In an attempt to increase the stability of Ty21a manufacturing typhoid vaccine, the stability of freeze-dried Ty21a including additives at various temperature conditions was studied. In order to investigate the freeze-drying rate of Ty21a according to various absorbance, Ty21a was lyophilized by using 8% sucrose as a stabilizer. (omitted)
