We developed a modeling and visualization software that can analyze 3-dimensional seismic data. The software divides 3 dimensional space into a series of vertical and horizontal polygons, and allows the various seismic attributes and other spatial information to be stored on these polygons. The program can pick a particular pattern in semi-automatic mode, and store the pattern in the spatial DB. The pattern can be modeled and visualized in 3 dimensional space.

The Qis visualizational spreadsheet environment is shown to be extremely effective in supporting the organized visualization of multi-dimensional data sets. The Qis consists of the reconfigurative 2D arrangement of spreadsheet elements at run time and each spreadsheet element has a novel framestack. As the feature, it supports 3D data structure of each element on the Qis. It enables the visualization spreadsheet to effectively manage, rapidly organize, and compactly encapsulate multi-dimensional data sets for visualization. Using several experiments with scientific users, the Qis has been demonstrated to be a highly interactive visual browsing tool for the analysis of multidimensional data, displaying 2D and 3D graphics, and rendering in each frame of the spreadsheet.
Hydrodynamic focusing technique to generate focused flow has been used for flow cytometry in microfluidic devices. However, devices with circular capillary tubes made of glass are not suitable for flow visualization or optical signal detection because the rays of light are distorted at the curved interface. We devised a new acrylic chamber assembled with a pulled micropipette and a rectangular microchannel made of glass. This new channel geometry enabled us to visualize the three-dimensional (3D) flow characteristics with confocal imaging technique. We analyzed the 3D hydrodynamic focusing in a circular capillary tube and a rectangular microchannel over a practical range of flow rates, viscosities and pressure drops.
Molecular visualization software has the common objective of manipulation and interpretation of data from numerical simulations. They visualize many complicated molecular structures with personal computer and workstation, to help analyze a large quantity of data produced by various computational methods. However, users are often discouraged from using these tools for visualization and analysis due to the difficult and complicated user interface. In this regard, we have developed an easy-to-use three-dimensional molecular visualization and analysis program named POSMOL. This has been developed on the Microsoft Windows platform for the easy and convenient user environment, as a compact program which reads outputs from various computational chemistry software without editing or changing data. The program animates vibration modes which are needed for locating minima and transition states in computational chemistry, draws two and three dimensional (2D and 3D) views of molecular orbitals (including their atomic orbital components and these partial sums) together with molecular systems, measures various geometrical parameters, and edits molecules and molecular structures.

In this study, 3-dimensional virtual visualization was performed for a rapid and accurate analysis of sea bottom topography, The visualization was done through the extracted data using the developed program and the generated data using the gridding method. The data extraction program was developed with AutoLISP programming language and this program was able to extract the needed sample bathymetry data from the electronic sea chart systematically as well as effectively. The gridded bathymetry data were generated by the interpolation or extrapolation method from the spatially-irregular sample data. As the result of realization for the 3-dimensional virtual visualization, it was shown a proper feasibility in the analysis of the sea bottom topography to determine the route of submarine cable burial.
Various data visualization methods are utilized to analyze a huge amount of data. Among various methods, a three-dimensional image requires the rotation of the image to show a stereo image on a two-dimensional screen. This study discusses two methods of batch method and real-time method, which make it possible to construct of stereo images to improve the restriction of the three-dimensional image display with virtual reality. This investigation can be useful to better explore a three-dimensional data structure.
Velocity and density distributions of a high-speed and initial $CO_{2}$ jet flow have been analyzed simultaneously by a developed three-dimensional digital speckle tomography and a particle image velocimetry(PIV). Three high-speed cameras have been used for tomography and PIV since a shape of a nozzle for the jet flow is asymmetric and the initial flow is fast and unsteady, The speckle movements between no flow and $CO_{2}$ jet flow have been obtained by a cross-correlation tracking method so that those distances can be transferred to deflection angles of laser rays for density gradients. The three-dimensional density fields for the high-speed $CO_{2}$ jet flow have been reconstructed from the deflection angles by a real-time tomography method and the two-dimensional velocity fields have been calculated by a PIV method simultaneously and instantaneously.
Flaw visualization and velocity field measurement methods have practical applications in the various fluid engineering fields, such as mechanics, ships, and heat fluids. In this study, the basic principles and theoretical methods are used to establish an application technique of Particle Imae Velocimetry(abbreviated to PIV below). Accordingly, the measured results of velocity field distribution of a section inside the Circulating Water Channel (abbreviated to CWC below) are computed using the PIV is presented. The uniformity of velocity distribution of the section in CWC is confirmed, by comparing this PIV data with the existing current meter data. Also, in order to measure the flaw fields of surroundings of 2-dimensional cylinder in the CWC, the flaw visualization technique using the PIV is applied.
This case report describes a dynamic digital esthetic rehabilitation procedure that integrates a new three-dimensional augmented reality (3D-AR) technique to treat a patient with multiple missing anterior teeth. The prostheses were designed using computer-aided design (CAD) software and virtually trialed using static and dynamic visualization methods. In the static method, the prostheses were visualized by integrating the CAD model with a 3D face scan of the patient. For the dynamic method, the 3D-AR application was used for real-time tracking and projection of the CAD prostheses in the patient's mouth. Results of a quick survey on patient satisfaction with the two visualization methods showed that the patient felt more satisfied with the dynamic visualization method because it allowed him to observe the prostheses directly on his face and be more proactive in the treatment process.
