Let 𝒜 be a Banach algebra. An element a ∈ 𝒜 has generalized Drazin inverse if there exists b ∈ 𝒜 such that b = bab, ab = ba, a - a²b ∈ 𝒜^qnil. New additive results for the generalized Drazin inverse of an operator over a Banach space are presented. we extend the main results of a paper of Shakoor, Yang and Ali from 2013 and of Wang, Huang and Chen from 2017. Appling these results to 2×2 operator matrices we also generalize results of a paper of Deng, Cvetković-Ilić and Wei from 2010.

In this study we prove the mesh-independence principle via Steffensen's method. This principle asserts that when Steffensen's method is applied to a nonlinear equation between some Banach spaces as well as to some finite-dimensional discretization of that equation then the behavior of th discretized process is asymptoti-cally the same as that for the original iteration. Local and semilo-cal convergencve results as well as an error analysis for Steffensen's method are also provided.

In this paper, we consider the following functional equation with involution f(x + y) + f(x + σ(y)) = 2f(x) + f(y) + f(σ(y)) and prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability for it when the target space is a non-Archimedean Banach space.

In this manuscript we solve in the positive a question informally proposed by Enflo on the measure of the set of isometric reflection vectors in non-Hilbert 2-dimensional real Banach spaces. We also reformulate equivalently the separable quotient problem in terms of isometric reflection vectors. Finally, we give a new and easy example of a real Banach space whose dual has a non-trivial L-summand that does not come from an M-ideal in the predual.

We obtain the convergence of three-step iteration methods and generalized three-step iteration methods for quasi-contractive and generalized quasi-contractive mappings, respectively, in Banach spaces. Our results extend the corresponding results in [1], [4]-[6].

We provide a local convergence analysis for Secant-like algorithm for solving nonsmooth variational inclusions in Banach spaces. An existence-convergence theorem and an improvement of the ratio of convergence of this algorithm are given under center-conditioned divided difference and Aubin's continuity concept. Our result compare favorably with related obtained in [16].
