A Fault Detection system Design for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems (불확실한 비선형시스템을 위한 고장검출 시스템 설계)

  • This paper deals with a fault detection system design for nonlinear systems with uncertain time varying parameters modelled as a T-S fuzzy system. A coprime factorization for T-S fuzzy systems is defined and a residual generator is designed using a left coprime factor. A fault detection criteria derived from the residual generator is also suggested. In order to demonstrate the efficacy of the suggested method, the fault defection method is applied to an inverted pendulum system and computer simulations are performed.

  • In this study, three-dimensional transient numerical simulations were carried out for a paint drying system of vehicle. The vehicle on assembly line passes through the drying system consisting of hot and cool air blow region. For the moving motion of the vehicle, moving of inlet boundary condition and MRF technique are used. The transient distribution of temperature and velocity in the drying system were predicted numerically. In order to validate the numerical results, transient distribution of the vehicle surface temperature was compared with experimental data, showing a good agreement. As a result of present study, optimal operating condition of the drying system are to be suggested.

  • This paper propose implementation method of SoC system for efficient depth image segmentation. SoC systems are combined platform in the form of the Software and Hardware IP. In order to perform effectively, the user to determine the operation of the configuration of each part. In this paper, we implemented a segmentation of depth images taken by the infrared sensor at APU of SoC system. The proposed method efficiently implements high performance and low power in SoC system. Proposed method that using software parts of SoC system is capable to use at several depth image processing systems.

  • If we don't know the intention of altering course of a target ship when being in a head-on or a crossing situation, we may be confused about our decision making to change our course for collision avoidance and be in a danger of collision. In order to solve these problems, we need to develop an automatic detection system on altering course of a target ship for efficient collision avoidance. In this paper, we proposed an early detection system on altering course of a target ship using the steering wheel signal. This system will contribute to the reduction of collision accidents and also be used to the VTS system and the analysis of marine accidents.

Position Control of a 3 dof Closed -loop Cylinder System Using ER Valve Actuators

  • This paper presents the position tracking control of a closed-loop cylinder system using electro-rheological (ER) valve actuators. After manufacturing three sets of cylindrical ER valves on the basis of Bingham model of ER fluid, a 3 dof(degree-freedom) closed-loop cylinder system having the heave, roll and pitch motions is constructed. The governing equations of motion are derived using Lagrange's equation and a control model is formulated by considering nonlinear characteristics of the system, Sliding mode controllers are the designed for these ER valve actuators in order to achieve position tracking control. The effectiveness of trajectory tracking control performance of the proposed cylinder system is demonstrated through computer simulation and experimental implementation of the sliding mode controller.

  • The increase of vehicles stagnations leads to the increasing attention to the way customers pay and a large number of projects on electronic cash system. Transport system is comprised of a number of advanced technologies, including information processing, communications, control, and electronics. Recently many research on a system which provides contact in order to protect driver's vehicle passage have been carried out. And some potential problems from that system are being reviewed by electronic cash system. In this papers, we suggest RF protocol developing technology using the concept of electronic cash. ATM electronic cash developing is consist of component of pre-developed coin throw, integration of component using its, and production of more requirement-satisfactory ITS solution. Result increase 15-40% pre-type vehicles stagnations. Especially, we expect this proposed concept would be well adapted to our national environments

  • This paper deals with modeling and characteristic analysis of a large-powered electric ship propulsion system. Particularly, system modeling in accordance with the required shipping performance, building-up the equivalent circuit and the power analysis based on load flow have been performed. In addition, abnormal operating condition of short-circuit network is considered for investigating the safety of system components under the over-load condition. Furthermore, protective device like circuit breaker has been specified in order to make the entire system operate normally in case of short-circuit emergency.

  • The geothermal heat pump system is designed for cooling and heating for three stories building (2,435 $m^2$) includes total 79 heat pumps. Therefore, the monitoring system is installed for each floor and the data is automatically transmitted to the monitoring system. Heat exchange rate and temperature of a geothermal heat pump system have been monitored for a long period. The seasonal operation of geothermal heat pump shows the different shape of heat exchange rate for cooling and heating. Ground water flow can influence on heat exchange rate and thermal storage of the system. In order to define the hydraulic characteristics and groundwater temperature variation, the relationships among air temperatures, groundwater temperatures, water table, and precipitation are analysed.

Development of a Route Guidances System and its Application (도로안내 시스템 개발과 그 적용)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to develop a route guidance system which is a part of the intelligent vehicle-highway system and to apply to a real world in order to evaluate usefulness of the system. To this end, significant literature review works with regard to vehicle navigation and route guidance systems were conducted and have provided an important information about state-of-the-art systems developed and tested by the advanced countries. A geographic information system, called INTGIS, was used to find the shortest path in a given road network. Three scenarios to find minimum path were simulated and observed : 1) with-constraint on intersections and road segments, 2) without-constraint on intersections and road segments, and 3) via several stops from origin to destination. Based on a series of experiments, the results indicate that the route guidance system developed in this research is very useful to inform drivers on highway and arterial the traffic informations such as congestion and incident.

  • This paper presents a topology structure and control method for an input-parallel-output-series(IPOS) inverter system which is suitable for high input current, high output voltage, and high power applications. In order to ensure the normal operation of the IPOS inverter system, the control method should achieve input current sharing(ICS) and output voltage sharing(OVS) among constituent modules. Through the analysis in this paper, ICS is automatically achieved as long as OVS is controlled. The IPOS inverter system is controlled by a three-loop control system which is composed of an outer common-output voltage loop, inner current loops and voltage sharing loops. Simulation results show that this control strategy can achieve low total harmonic distortion(THD) in the system output voltage, fast dynamic response, and good output voltage sharing performance.
