  • This paper is an attempt to identify major challenges to be faced by the Korean health care delivery system for about 30 years in the future and to deliberate over possible policy responses to them. It is not intended to make a precise prediction of the future profile of the system, but the focus is given to understanding what we have to do from now on in order to develop health care in Korea toward a desirable direction. Although the discussion has been made in a rather fragmented manner, it would hopefully provide stepping stones for a systematic study of the Korean health care system from a long range perspective.

  • This study was performed to find out drying characteristics and develop waste heat recovery dryer. this system was initiated in order to recover discharged waste heat of drying air from drying chamber in agricultural products dryer and recycle for additional heat source that could save drying cost. The system consists of drying chamber, fan, burner, circulation pump and heat exchanger made of fins and tubes. For the system performance, drying experiments with fresh pepper were conducted, and comparisons on fuel consumption amount and drying performance were made between conventional dryer and the heat recovery system attached dryer.

  • When an automatic course-keeping is concerned, as is quite popular in modem navigation, the closed-loop steering system consists of autopilot device, power unit (or telemotor unit), steering gear, magnetic or gyro compass and ship dynamics. In order to estimate automatic steering system of ships in open seas. we need to know the characteristics of each component of the system, and also to know the characteristics of disturbance to ship dynamics. In this paper, I provide calculation method of imposing irregular disturbance to autopilot navigation system of the ship in open seas, and also show calculation examples about fishing boat. The disturbance consists of the irregular wave and the fluctuating component of wind. Finally, The disturbances are calculated in terms of equivalent yaw angular velocity. Each spectrum and time history of disturbance are reasonably evaluated.

  • This paper is studied the new speed control system of the DC motor which can drive constant speed at variable load as well as reduce the homonics. System is used thyristor-Leonard circuit with 2-tap in order to reduce the homonics problems due to chopping dc input voltage in chopper system and semiconductor devices in thyristor-Leonard system. There is added to the PLL system to drive the constant speed in variable Load, which has controlled of variable speed in DC motor. Thereby, we have proved its through experiment.

  • This paper derives two new algorithms to calculate the expected energy generated and the reliability indices of a generating system when the loading order of the generating units and the load data of the system are given. These algorithms use the probabilistic simulation model considering the two-block system, and can be easily extended to the three or more block system if necesssary. Suggested model I is a more improved algorithm from the conventional ones, in which the load duration curve is used as is in any other conventional algorithms. And model II, by using the newly developed " ENERGY CURVE", remarkably saves the computing time with reducing the computational errors. Case studies were carried out for the actual load data of Korea Electric Company.c Company.

  • In order to verify and take measures against a variety of troubles which cannot be predicted in a well-controlled laboratory, it is necessary that solar system should be experimented in an actual situation during a long period. Through this experiment it can be also understood how the load pattern and operational conditions expected in a design process become different to those in the actual running, which can be applied to a new system design. We installed 6 kW solar hot water heating system with a shower facility and operated during 7 months. As a result, average 8.3 persons took a shower a day; solar fraction is 71% and total collector efficiency is 40% during the periods from March to September. We confirmed several troubles encountered in the actual situation and considered practical center-measures.

  • Recently a strong request for the improvement in irrigation water management in order to flexibly meet the spacial and time changes of water demand for agricultural and other uses by saving agricultural water. Thereby, the purpose of this study is to design of Basin Water Management Program(BWMP). BWMP is operate with Open Control System. Accordingly, BMWP is easy to acquire data and control irrigation and drainage facilities. BWMP are consist of Data Base Management System(DBMS) and Model System. DBMS make it possible to analyze data related with planing for water schedul and establish database. Model System are calculate reservoir inflow, reservoir effluent and basin water demand. Finally, operator is decide reservoir operation in consider of Model System and DBMS. BWMP might be nicely adapted to the planning and decision for saving water.

  • In this study, we first define user requirements to fulfill the reconnaissance and the search missions, by analyzing the system characteristics and operation environment. By investigating the design technology level, the development and procurement costs, the strong system design concepts and possible alternatives will be proposed. To analyze the system requirements, the Quality Function Deployment of the systems engineering approach will be implemented. The promising design alternatives that satisfy the user requirements are extracted by constructing the Morphological Matrix, then the best design concept will be obtained using the Pugh Concept Selection Matrix and the TOPSIS(Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution).

  • In this paper, we added that developed communication control system between the PLC of pressure machine and the control computer, and developed a new protocol in order to communicate between the PLC signal of pressure machine and the control computer. This communication control systems play an important role in transforming the PLC vendor self-interface type and between computer and PLC. This system has PLC access function to control computer on the backbone network, and then could be operated by PLC through this system. The benefits we can obtain by developing this communication control systems are as follows; First, we can improve the quality of goods and the management of materials using the communication network and then implement the centralization management. Second, we can decrease manpower for production. Finally, we can maximize the company's profit with the increasing productivity by supervising the equipment wrong workings in the central.

  • Many researchers have proposed the various methods to detect illegal intrusion in order to improve internet environment. Among these researches, IDS(Intrusion Detection System) is classified the most common model to protect network security. In this paper, we propose new log format instead of Apache log format for SSL integrity verification. We translate file-DB log format into R-DB log format. Using these methods we can manage Web server's integrity, and log data is transmitted verification system to be able to perform both primary function of IDS and Web server's integrity management at the same time. The proposed system in this paper is also able to use for wire and wireless environment based on PDA.
