Evaluation of Characteristics of Simulated Extreme Rainfall Obtained from NSRP model under Different Object Functions (목적함수에 따른 다지점 NSRP 모형의 극치강우 재현능력 평가)

  • 수자원설계 및 계획 시 제한된 강우자료로 인해 나타나는 한계를 개선하기 위한 목적으로 추계학적 강수모의 모형을 활용한다. 대표적인 추계학적 강수모형으로 Bartlett-Lewis Rectangular Pulse Modified Model(BLPRM)과 Neyman-Scott Rectangular Pulse Model(NSRPM) 등이 활용되고 있으며, 관측강수량의 통계적 모멘트를 재현할 수 있도록 모형 매개변수를 최적화하는 과정이 필수적으로 요구된다. 기본적으로 모형 매개변수들의 조합을 통해 추정되는 통계적 모멘트와 관측값의 통계적 모멘트를 반복적으로 비교하면서 최적 매개변수를 추정하게 된다. 그러나 상대적으로 적은 관측값을 이용하여 매개변수를 추정하기 때문에, 매개변수 추정이 어려울 뿐만 아니라 매개변수의 불확실성도 큰 특징을 가지고 있다. 모형 매개변수 추정과정에서 다양한 목적함수가 활용되고 있으나, 고려되는 통계적 모멘트가 평균 및 분산 등 2차 모멘트에 제한되고 있어 극치강수량에 대한 재현성은 상대적으로 부족한 부분이 있다. 본 연구에서는 3차 모멘트를 포함한 목적함수를 활용하여 NSRP모형 매개변수를 추정하고, 기존 2차 모멘트를 이용한 매개변수 접근방법과 극치강수량 재현 측면에서 비교를 수행하였다. 최종적으로 유역 단위에서 극치강수량 재현효과를 평가하기 위해서는 면적강수량 추정이 매우 중요하며, 본 연구에서는 이러한 점을 감안하여 강우 지점 간의 상관성을 유지하면서 강우모의가 가능한 다지점 NSRP 모형과 연계하여 극치강우 재현 가능성을 평가하였다.

Evaluation of Structural Behavior and Moment of Inertia on Modular Slabs Subjected to Cyclic Loading (반복하중을 받는 모듈러 슬래브의 거동 및 단면2차모멘트 평가)

  • Recently, the maintenance activity for aging of bridge structures was difficult because of traffic jam, environment pollution and increasing cost. And to solve these problems, modular bridge research has been studied. After static and cyclic loading test was conducted for serviceability and bending performance with one way slab, effective moment of inertia of modular specimen was analyzed to estimate the deflection by KCI(2012). To conduct the test, one integral slab and three modular slabs were made for static loading and one integral and modular slab were made for cyclic. As a result of the test, the modular slab had the similar bending performance of the integral. But the ultimate deflection showed the insufficient which was smaller than 20%. In the cyclic loading test, the modular slab has different behavior of deflection with the integral, so it was evaluated difficult for serviceability. In addition, effective moment of inertia by KCI(2012) was not estimated for modular slab with connection. The new value of m which was ratio between moments is 4.53 based on result of test for predicting deflection of modular.

  • i.i.d 신호의고차 모멘트와 스펙트럼의 성질에 대하여 4차까지 고찰하였으며 이의 결과를 이용하 여 2차 Volterra 급수로 표시되고, i.i.d. 입력 신호를 갖는 시불변 비선형 시스테므이 파라메타들을 추정 하는 알고리즘을 시간 영역과 주파수 영역에서 각각 제안하였다. 비록 2차 Volterra 급수가 i.i.d. 입력 신호에 대하여 orthogonal 모델이 아닐지라도 입력 신호의 각종 시간지연에 대한 모멘트나 역행렬의 계 산등이 요구되지 않으며 선형 전달함수와 2차 전달함수를 추정할 수 있는 알고리즘이 존재하는 것을 보 았다.

Analysis on the Influence of Moment Distribution Shape on the Effective Moment of Inertia of Simply Supported Reinforced Concrete Beams (철근콘크리트 단순보의 유효 단면2차모멘트에 대한 모멘트 분포 형상의 영향 분석)

  • The concept of the effective moment of inertia has been generally used for the deflection estimation of reinforced concrete flexural members. The KCI design code adopted Branson's equation for simple calculation of deflection, in which a representative value of the effective moment of inertia is used for the whole length of a member. However, the code equation for the effective moment of inertia was formulated based on the results of beam tests subjected to uniformly distributed loads, which may not effectively account for those of members under different loading conditions. Therefore, this study aimed to verify the influences of moment shapes resulting from different loading patterns by experiments. Six beams were fabricated and tested in this study, where primary variables were concrete compressive strengths and loading distances from supports, and test results were compared to the code equation and other existing approaches. A method utilizing variational analysis for the deflection estimation has been also proposed, which accounts for the influences of moment shapes to the effective moment of inertia. The test results indicated that the effective moment of inertia was somewhat influenced by the moment shape, and that this influence of moment shape to the effective moment of inertia was not captured by the code equation. Compared to the code equation, the proposed method had smaller variation in the ratios of the test results to the estimated values of beam deflections. Therefore, the proposed method is considered to be a good approach to take into account the influence of moment shape for the estimation of beam deflection, however, the differences between test results and estimated deflections show that more researches are still required to improve its accuracy by modifying the shape function of deflection.

  • Moment Magnifier Method has been generally used in estimation of total column moment induced by geometric nonlinearity for reinforced concrete slender column design, however second order analysis such as P-${\Delta}$ method has been recommended by Code for better result. Member stiffness estimation is the most significant factor for accuracy of second order analysis. Equivalent Column stiffness based on theoretically obtained moment-curvature-thrust relationship has been proposed and the analytical results of the proposed method, MacGregor-Hage Method, Furlong's Method, and Moment Magnifier Method are compared with experimentally obtained data.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 1차 모멘트와 주요성분분석을 이용한 효율적인 얼굴표정 인식방법을 제안하였다. 여기서 1차 모멘트는 영상의 중심이동을 위한 전처리 과정으로 인식에 불필요한 배경의 배제와 계산시간의 감소로 인식성능을 개선하기 위함이다. 또한 주요성분분석은 얼굴표정의 특징인 고유영상을 추출하는 것으로, 이는 2차의 통계성을 고려한 중복신호의 제거로 인식성능을 개선하기 위함이다. 제안된 방법을 각각 320*243 픽셀의 48개(4명*6장*2그룹) 얼굴표정을 대상으로 Euclidean 분류척도를 이용하여 실험한 결과 전처리를 수행하지 않는 기존 방법보다 우수한 인식성능이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The moment analysis of lysozyme was implemented using chromatograms that were obtained from weak cation exchange column in high performance liquid chromatography system. Three elution sodium phosphate buffers containing 1.0, 0.75, 0.5M sodium chloride were used. Experiments were conducted by varying flow rate, elution sodium chloride concentration, and lysozyme solute concentration. The general rate (GR) model was employed to calculate the first moment and the second moment. By plotting $L/u_0$ vs. $({\mu}_1-t_0)/(1-{\varepsilon}_e)(1-{\varepsilon}_i)$] equilibrium constants (K) were obtained from first moment analysis. Intra-particle diffusivity was obtained from theoretical plate number data. Based on the results of moment analysis, van Deemter plots were drawn in order to investigate the contributions of $H_{ax}$, $H_f$, and $H_d$ to total Height Equivalent to a Theoretical Plate (HETP, $H_{total}$). The effect of intra-particle diffusion ($H_d$) was the most dominant factor contributing to HETP while external mass transfer ($H_f$) was negligible factor.

  • 본 논문에서는 칼라 영상으로부터 피부색 정보 및 모멘트를 이용하여 눈 영역 및 얼굴 영역을 검출하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 눈 영역을 추출함으로써 보다 정확한 얼굴 영역을 검출할 수 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 입력된 칼라 영상의 피부색 정보를 기반으로 추출한 영역으로부터 레이블 영역의 면적과 크기 정보를 이용해 1차, 2차 얼굴 후보 영역을 선택하고 선택된 얼굴 후보 영역간의 기울기 모멘트를 계산하여 3차 얼굴 후보 영역을 추출한다. 또한 추출한 3차 후보 영역으로부터 레이블 영역의 크기 및 구조적 관계를 고려하여 영역 내에서의 눈의 위치를 검출한다. 따라서 제안한 방법은 눈의 기울기 관계를 이용함으로써 얼굴의 크기와 얼굴이 좌우로 기울어진 영상에 대하여 강인한 얼굴 검출 능력을 보인다.

Evaluation of extreme rainfall estimation obtained from NSRP model based on the objective function with statistical third moment (통계적 3차 모멘트 기반의 목적함수를 이용한 NSRP 모형의 극치강우 재현능력 평가)

  • It is recommended to use long-term hydrometeorological data for more than the service life of the hydraulic structures and water resource planning. For the purpose of expanding rainfall data, stochastic simulation models, such as Modified Bartlett-Lewis Rectangular Pulse (BLRP) and Neyman-Scott Rectangular Pulse (NSRP) models, have been widely used. The optimal parameters of the model can be estimated by repeatedly comparing the statistical moments defined through a combination of parameters of the probability distribution in the optimization context. However, parameter estimation using relatively small observed rainfall statistics corresponds to an ill-posed problem, leading to an increase in uncertainty in the parameter estimation process. In addition, as shown in previous studies, extreme values are underestimated because objective functions are typically defined by the first and second statistical moments (i.e., mean and variance). In this regard, this study estimated the parameters of the NSRP model using the objective function with the third moment and compared it with the existing approach based on the first and second moments in terms of estimation of extreme rainfall. It was found that the first and second moments did not show a significant difference depending on whether or not the skewness was considered in the objective function. However, the proposed model showed significantly improved performance in terms of estimation of design rainfalls.

  • In this paper, The new algorithm of spectrum moment for format frequency estimation is proposed. The second oder and the third order spectrum moment, which reflect variance and skewness of a spectrum pattern, respectively, is utilized to adjust the frequency region for estimation precision of format frequency. As the results. the F1-F2 diagram reported 8 Korean vowels for man and woman and that we found articulation method of vowel and vowel, vowel and consonant.
